The bunker door shook again.
Sophia looked at Marcus.
Another impact followed. Harder this time.
Dust fell from the ceiling.
"They're coming through," she whispered.
Marcus glanced at the old control panel.
"Not yet."
"How long?"
"Maybe five minutes."
Sophia frowned.
"That's supposed to make me feel better?"
"No." He looked toward the door.
"It's supposed to make you move."
He crossed the room and pulled open a metal cabinet.
Inside were several old communication devices, emergency batteries, paper maps and sealed files.
Sophia stared.
"This bunker has been abandoned for years."
"Officially."
Marcus removed a small black case.
"Apparently nobody told the people who built it." He placed the case on the table and opened it. Inside was a compact computer terminal. Sophia immediately recognized the design.
"That's military grade."
Marcus nodded.
"Old military grade."
"Does it work?"
"We're about to find out."
