The apartment became quiet again after the call ended.
Clara still held the phone tightly in her trembling hand while Sebastian stood near the window staring down at the glowing lights of Valenridge. Vivian remained seated beside Clara quietly, her expression thoughtful.
Nobody spoke immediately. Because the situation had just changed completely.
This was no longer about revenge alone.
This was political.
Finally Vivian broke the silence softly.
"They already know about the election."
Sebastian nodded once slowly.
"Which means somebody powerful is backing them."
Clara looked between both of them nervously.
"What do we do now?"
Sebastian finally turned away from the window. His face had become calm again.

That dangerous calm Vivian knew very well.

"Now," he said quietly, "we let them believe they're winning."
