The route token led them through a door marked Servants Only. Beyond it waited an estate large enough to occupy a hillside. No hillside appeared on the party's maps.
Cold evening light lay across an open courtyard. Vines covered the outer walls, and half the roof had fallen into a garden where stone paths circled empty pools. The door behind them stood inside a freestanding arch with no building attached to it.
Rias placed an evidence mark beside the threshold. "The exit exists for now."
The lodge had been built for more than humans. A narrow front staircase rose beside a broad ramp reinforced with old bronze. Human-sized doors stood next to entrances built for enormous beasts. Dining benches faced low stone platforms worn smooth by bodies much larger than people. Murals covered the reception hall, showing travelers crossing mountains, rivers, and open sky beside different beasts.
