Season 3 chapter 112
The Weed Pulling Wages
Kniya and Malesh shared a look, absolutely loving the fact that they had broken the billionaire's brain so thoroughly.
"Okay, okay, calm down," Kniya laughed, chewing his mint gum loudly. "But listen, this time, Mantouse, you are actually going to pay us the fucking wages for the things we did previously."
Mantouse paused, his heavy breathing coming through the speaker. "...What fucking wages?"
"For the manual labor, obviously," Kniya demanded smoothly. "We previously plucked all the weeds out of your farmland, and you need to pay us for that shit. It is really important. We do not work for free."
Mantouse let out a sound that was half-groan, half-scream.
"I am absolutely not going to pay you for that shit!" Mantouse exploded. "You guys did that thing out of your own fucking stupidity last time! Previously, I called you to my property to talk about a highly important thing to discuss. But when you guys reached there, you just blindly assumed that I called you to my farmland not to discuss business, but to ask you to pull the fucking weeds off my dirt! You just started doing it! That is your own absolute stupidity, not mine!"
Kniya burst into loud, hysterical laughter, entirely unable to hold it together. Malesh actually let out a rare, dark chuckle, highly amused by the memory of them doing unpaid agricultural labor just to annoy the underground financier.
"Well, whatever," Kniya chuckled, completely dismissing Mantouse's rage. "But just so you know, this time, we are going to harvest and sell the weeds that grew on your farmland so that we can make some extra money out of it."
"I fucking hate you both!" Mantouse yelled.
CLICK.
Mantouse aggressively slammed the phone down, completely cutting the call.
The Narrator Returns
So, yeah. I am here again.
We are officially skipping the driving scene again because it is entirely too boring, as you all know. Seriously, how many times can I vividly describe the R12 steam engines roaring and the heavy tires kicking up dust?
And yeah, if I am being completely honest, for the sake of chapter expansion, I just needed to spit out some extra shit right here. Basically, it is exactly like that. I am just here to actively waste your time and bump up the word count, nothing else.
Yeah, bye.
The Broken Door
The massive armored steam sedan rolled to a halt on the edge of the desolate, overgrown farmland. Kniya and Malesh stepped out of the heavy vehicle, walking straight past the tall, unkempt grass toward the small, incredibly run-down wooden hut sitting in the middle of the property.
They stepped up to the porch. Kniya aggressively knocked on the cheap wooden door.
Silence.
Kniya popped a piece of mint gum into his mouth and looked at Malesh. "Okay, he's not answering. Let's break the fucking door."
Without a single second of hesitation, Kniya raised his heavy boot and violently kicked the door dead center. With a loud, splintering CRASH, the cheap wood shattered off its hinges, collapsing inward and kicking up a massive cloud of dust inside the empty hut.
"Are you fucking kidding me?!"
A furious voice echoed from the tall grass behind them.
Kniya and Malesh turned around. Mantouse Adeius was aggressively marching toward them from the back of the property, looking completely horrified as he stared at his ruined entrance.
"Huuhhhhh!!!!, I am absolutely going to take the money for this broken door directly out of your pockets!" Mantouse yelled, his face flushing red with anger. "Why the hell couldn't you wait for five fucking minutes?! You could have literally just stood there and waited, but no! You just had to completely destroy my fucking hut, which I prepared and created with my own extreme hardship!"
Kniya casually crossed his arms, entirely unmoved by the billionaire's architectural grief.
"I don't give a single fuck about your hardship, Mantu," Kniya dismissed lazily. "So, yeah, can we just start discussing the actual deal?"
Mantouse let out a massive, exhausted sigh, pulling a silver pocket watch from his coat to check the time.
"Well, the thing is that we arrived exactly on time, Mantu, You don't need to check your watch for that," Kniya stated, pointing an accusatory finger. "But you were two minutes late. Which clearly means that you definitely had that appointment with your GF."
"No, it is absolutely not like that!" Mantouse groaned, aggressively rubbing his temples to fight off an incoming migraine. "And please, can we talk about something serious for once, and not this absolute shit all the time?!"
Kniya smirked, gesturing wildly at the overgrown field around them.
"Well, Mantu, if you didn't had come on time, we were literally about to start pulling up the grass and the weeds," Kniya threatened cheerfully. "And then we were going to illegally sell this entire house to someone else just to earn our revenue! You know, about the manual labor which Which we did previously when we met to discuss about an important thing but, you previously didn't pay us for."
The Linguistic Calculation
"Yeah, we were absolutely going to liquidate your assets," Malesh agreed, his face a perfect deadpan mask. "But yeah, let's talk seriously. No more jokes."
Malesh reached inside his tailored blazer and pulled out a thick, heavily stamped piece of high-grade banking paper. He extended his hand, presenting it to the underground financier.
"This is the cheque," Malesh stated flatly. "And you can check."
Mantouse blinked, looking at the paper.
Malesh didn't move. He simply stared at Mantouse, adjusting his tie.
"You can see how highly rhyming it is," Malesh pointed out mechanically, entirely breaking the tension to deliver an analytical observation. "The word C-H-E-Q-U-E, cheque, and the word C-H-E-C-K, check. They both are phonetically identical. They are too much rhyming in this specific aspect. It is a highly efficient use of linguistics."
Mantouse stared at the deadpan guy, his brain actively refusing to process the sheer absurdity of the pun.
"Yeah, I am going to check this thing," Mantouse muttered, violently snatching the paper out of Malesh's hand. "I can't fucking believe you guys. I should honestly sell this property to someone else before you guys totally loot this place off and sell it for parts."
Mantouse marched past them into the ruined hut. He knelt down, pulling away a false floorboard to reveal a heavy, mechanical analog fax machine hidden in the dirt. It was directly wired to a secure underground telegraph line.
He slid the cheque into the brass feeder. The machine required a specific operational protocol: the paper contained a highly classified, invisible serial number that only the mechanical lasers could read, which had to be transmitted alongside his authorized physical signature.
Mantouse picked up the heavy analog receiver connected to the machine and dialed his elite central banker.
"Yes, it is Me," Mantouse spoke into the receiver, his voice dropping back into his cold, professional tone. "I am initiating a secure fax transmission for a massive clearance. I need you to check that cheque right now."
Malesh immediately pointed a finger at Mantouse.
"He just did it again, Kniya," Malesh noted flatly. "It is rhyming again."
Mantouse slammed his hand over the receiver, his teeth physically clenching together in pure rage.
"Can you please stop for a single fucking moment?!" Mantouse hissed violently. "I am talking to someone!"
"It is just a fucking banker," Malesh dismissed coldly, entirely unimpressed. "Why do we have to give such high importance to a guy who just looks at numbers all day?"
"Because he is the guy who is going to approve your fucking funds!" Mantouse roared back, a vein popping in his neck. "That is why! My conversation with him is really fucking important."
The Impossible Clearance
The heavy mechanical fax machine whirred loudly, the gears grinding as it processed the secret serial number and transmitted the signature across the city.
A tense, heavy silence filled the dusty hut. Mantouse gripped the heavy analog telephone receiver, his knuckles turning white.
Finally, the banker's voice crackled back through the receiver, sounding completely highly unhinged.
"Yes... yes, sir," the banker squeaked, his voice cracking with pure comedic panic. "The serial number is perfectly authentic! But sir, I am literally looking at the physical bank draft again and again just to clarify this thing! There are so many zeros written on this single piece of paper that I genuinely thought someone just spilled ink across the entire page! The sixty trillion credits have finally arrived!"
Kniya aggressively popped a bubble with his mint gum, crossing his arms. "So, Mantu, you got the money, right? And what exactly are you going to do with that?"
Malesh smoothly adjusted his silk tie, his dark eyes locking onto the underground boss with a perfectly deadpan expression. "He is going to do the obvious thing. He is going to secure the appointment with his GF."
Before Mantouse could even process the insult, the highly curious voice of the funny banker squeaked out loudly from the phone receiver still pressed to Mantouse's ear.
"Wait, sir?" the banker gasped in pure shock. "Do you actually have a GF?!"
Mantouse's face instantly flushed with pure, unfiltered rage.
"Cut the crap! I am cutting the call right now!" Mantouse exploded, violently slamming the heavy receiver back onto the cradle with a massive metallic crack.
He slowly turned around from the desk, his composure entirely destroyed all over again, and stared at Kniya and Malesh as if they were the most infuriating beings on the planet. The impossible debt was cleared, but his dignity was completely gone.
