Season 3 chapter 28
The Degenerate Defense
Filoska stood in the corner of the bunker, having just finished brutally scolding her teenage brother for clutching a stack of highly questionable book. She spun around and marched directly toward Malesh, who was calmly sipping a glass of water on the leather sofa.
"Why the fuck did you give such a kind of book to my brother?!" Filoska yelled, pointing an accusing finger at the billionaire.
Malesh slowly lowered his glass, his expression a perfect mask of deadpan innocence. "Actually, he was asking for that specific literature."
"So if he was asking for it, you just give it to him?!" Filoska shrieked, completely exasperated. "You are supposed to be the adult and the smart one here! You are a trillionaire executive! You should have the basic common sense to know you shouldn't give this kind of degenerate content to a little kid!"
"But he is a teenager," Malesh argued logically, entirely unfazed. "His biological hormones are—"
"Stop right now!" Filoska interrupted, holding her hand up. "Just stop! I do not want to hear a biological lecture from you!"
Part B
Location: Dontils Villa, Central KDC
Miles away from the chaotic bunker, deep inside the luxurious east wing of the royal estate, Leon Debestez was staring out the window, a glass of expensive bourbon in his hand.
The heavy wooden doors of the lounge swung open. The highly disrespectful personal guard strolled in, looking entirely unbothered.
"Sir, I have an update," the guard announced smoothly. "We just got to know that the assassin we sent to kill Kniya, Malesh, and the corporate group was successfully assassinated by them instead. He fell off a roof."
Leon didn't throw a glass. He didn't scream. Instead, a slow, incredibly evil smirk spread across his face.
"Well, I knew that," Leon purred darkly, taking a sip of his bourbon. "I knew that it was absolutely not an easy task for any loser assassin to pull off. Those corporate bastards are heavily armed. And that is exactly why I already have a contingency plan for that."
The guard casually leaned against a marble pillar. "There is one more thing, sir. Her brother also escaped from our strict sight. They completely bypassed our security and extracted him."
Leon's smirk twitched, but his dark aura remained. "Yeah. I know that my fucking plan—or the 'Part A' of my fucking plan—is completely fucked up now. And those corporate parasites need to pay for that. They ruined my fucking trap."
Leon turned away from the window, his eyes gleaming with absolute malice.
"But there is absolutely no need to worry," Leon declared, his voice dropping into a lethal, theatrical register. "It is just the beginning of a really, really long war. Let's begin the 'Part B' of our plan."
Leon threw his head back and let out a massive, echoing, completely stereotypical evil villain laugh.
The guard just rolled his eyes.
The Unserious Broadcast
Location: Kniya's Bunker, Seistain Hub
Back in the underground bunker, the tension had finally started to settle.
"Okay, Filoska," Malesh said, stepping away from the argument about the book. "We actually want to tell you one thing before all of this royal family drama completely distracts us. Because earlier this week, we also gained some highly critical information about the military massacre in the religious city."
Before Malesh could finish his sentence, his encrypted pocket phone began to violently vibrate. He pulled it out, answering the secure line.
"Sir," a panicked corporate intelligence officer shouted through the speaker. "You need to open the news right now. There is something happening that is totally going to change the country."
Malesh immediately grabbed the remote and turned on the massive CRT monitor bolted to the bunker wall.
Instead of a highly professional federal anchor, the screen flashed to a completely unserious, exhausted-looking field reporter standing in front of a green screen.
"So, as we all know, I am the reporter of this news channel," the reporter sighed directly into the camera, looking like he hadn't slept in three days. "I am paid very less. And you are always watching this specific news broadcast because it is famous. So yeah, let me just continue."
The reporter completely ignored his script, casually leaning against the podium.
"You know, there are many religious cities in DI," the reporter deadpanned. "And, you know, the government has basically destroyed them violently. And the people are now very angry with this. Let me just shift to the video clips so that you can actually understand it much better, because videos are a part of everything, and you know... fuck this shit, fuck everything, just roll the tape."
The screen violently cut to a piece of shaky, amateur footage recorded in the middle of a burning religious town.
A chaotic, terrified man was running toward the camera, screaming at the top of his lungs. "I don't want to die! I only need money! Destroy the city! The only thing I care about is the money!"
Suddenly, a federal military unit stepped into the frame and casually shot the screaming man. He dropped to the ground, simply dead.
The scene immediately shifted to a terrifying, wide-angle shot of the Republic's armed forces.
THWUP-THWUP-THWUP-THWUP.
Massive federal military helicopters swept across the sky. Heavy armored tanks, artillery units, and thousands upon thousands of heavily armed soldiers were physically rolling into the sacred religious cities, completely locking down the zones.
The screen cut back to the deeply exhausted reporter.
"So," the reporter sighed, rubbing his eyes. "This is the biggest event of the year. Because now, people are having a peaceful protest all over DI regarding the military overreach. And honestly, it is the second most significant protest in national history... right behind the fart cylinders protests, you know, when their prices went up last month."
Sitting on the bunker sofa, Kniya's face twisted into pure, unfiltered disgust.
"Why the fuck do they always have to add a fart attack and fart cylinders in between every single important news broadcast they have?!" Kniya yelled at the TV. "This is literally the shit! The country is burning, and they are talking about flatulence!"
The Grand Conspiracy
Kniya aggressively muted the television, turning back to his executive team. The chaotic billionaire energy completely vanished from his eyes, replaced by the terrifying intellect of a man who controlled half the Republic's GDP.
"The news has gone completely wild," Kniya stated coldly. "And I think so, we need to understand the full matter of what is actually going on. Filoska, I am going to explain everything to you from the intelligence we gained."
Malesh adjusted his tie, stepping forward to co-lecture.
"Actually, the royal plan starts with one core truth," Malesh explained, his deadpan voice cutting through the silence. "The royal family is directly involved in a massive regime change in DI. They have a highly sophisticated, two-phased plan. Let me explain the macroeconomic structure."
"So actually," Kniya interrupted, taking over. "The royal family is the exact entity that started all the massacres in the religious cities. We only personally witnessed it in one religious city... but it is secretly happening all over DI. And you know who gave this incredibly violent idea to the President of the Republic?"
Filoska shook her head, completely mesmerized by the conspiracy.
"The royal family did," Kniya revealed darkly. "The President of the country is actually a heavily bribed individual. He got his massive dark-money fundings directly from the royal family and the political groups who do not support the Yatsua religion."
"But what does the government actually get out of destroying their own cultural heritage?" Filoska asked.
Salesh, leaning against the bunker wall, finally chimed in. "They get the resources, Filoska. You know what the President is gaining by destroying all these religious cities? He is illegally mining and hoarding the ultra-rare earth minerals from the sacred statues of the Lord! And in return, the royal family is quietly seizing all the confiscated land and the incredible, ancient scriptures of the religion from our temples!"
Kniya nodded, slamming his fist into his palm. "Exactly! But now, the royal family is executing the second part of their trap! First, they manipulated the government into destroying their own religious cities. And now... they are officially planning against the government!"
"Think about it," Malesh prompted logically. "Who pointed out this news? How did this highly classified military massacre suddenly get leaked out into the open? And how are there suddenly so many highly organized protests in the country?"
Filoska's eyes widened as the realization hit her. "The royal family leaked it."
"Yes!" Kniya shouted. "They were the ones who organized a massive coup against the government! Well, it is not a traditional military coup, it is a socio-political regime change! These protests popping up in various regions of DI? They are actually meticulously planned. These royal guys are really smart. They literally played with the public and their own government!"
"Their ultimate objective is completely clear," Malesh stated flatly. "They want to violently remove the democracy, completely destabilize the federal structure, and establish an absolute monarchy again."
Kniya pointed a finger at his own chest. "And as you know, we are one of the greatest problems to the royal family. Because Kavilson Steel and Malesh Energy are the biggest financial supporters of democracy! Not in the public front lines, but on the backside, we fund the democratic infrastructure. The royal family knows that thing. And that is exactly why Leon wanted to eliminate us with that assassination plan today, which failed eventually. And now, they are implementing Part Two of their plan."
"They organized the protests, they manipulated the government, and now they are just sitting back in their expensive villas enjoying the fight in between them," Kniya sneered. "They are going to secretly fund the protesters, letting the country burn itself down so they can step in as the 'saviors.' And we are caught right in the middle."
