The Body Refining Realm, the Blood Transfusion Realm, and finally the Bloodline Awakening Realm.
Together, these three realms were known as the Foundation Realms.
They were the most important stages of a warrior's early cultivation, because they determined just how far that warrior would be able to walk in the future. A weak foundation might not show its consequences immediately, but as cultivation progressed, its shortcomings would become increasingly difficult to overcome.
During the Body Refining Realm, the primary goal was to strengthen the body to its absolute limits.
If a warrior failed to temper their body properly and attempted to infuse the blood of a powerful Star Monster into their veins, the consequences could be disastrous. The foreign bloodline would surge through a body that wasn't strong enough to contain it, tearing apart muscles, rupturing blood vessels, and potentially causing the entire body to explode from within.
