Chapter 388 - Chapter 388 Devouring Adalmann, Esdeath vs Yamza

"That is..." As Yamza surveyed the enemy, he noticed Milim's presence.

The instant he saw Milim, a look of despair crossed his face. If he had harbored even a shred of hope before, the moment he saw Milim, he knew: this time, he would very likely perish here.

"Milim-sama, why have you invaded us?" Though despair filled his heart, Yamza still sought a sliver of hope for survival.

"I... no, no. This is not my invasion. I am merely watching." Hearing his words, Milim shook her head calmly.

"Watching?!" Hearing her words, Yamza was stunned, disbelief evident in his eyes. Milim had no intention of convincing him. To her, such an unfamiliar, insignificant existence warranted only a single brief explanation.

Within the castle, Clayman, observing through Mjurran's vision, noticed Milim's presence.

"Why? Why is Milim here?! Does she intend to break our pact?! I have done nothing to provoke her!" Seeing Milim, Clayman became frantic.

Though confident in his own power since becoming a Demon Lord, Clayman remained rational. An existence like Milim was far beyond his current capacity to oppose.

And now, trapped within this barrier, he could not escape. He had, naturally, tested the barrier's durability, attacking it continuously for several minutes before despairingly discovering his assaults could not damage it in the slightest.

This barrier's strength made him think even of Guy Crimson, one of the most ancient Demon Lords...

"Esdeath, that man is yours. As for that woman over there, Diablo, she is yours. Capture her alive." Looking at the arriving Yamza and Mjurran, Takeru narrowed his eyes, considered briefly, and spoke.

"Yes!" Hearing Takeru's command, Esdeath and Diablo swiftly acknowledged.

Ram and Rem, hearing Takeru's order to Diablo, not kill, but capture alive, narrowed their eyes at Takeru. Though puzzled, they refrained from questioning him at this moment.

Takeru perceived the change in Ram and Rem's gaze but offered no explanation. Instead, he lightly waved his hand toward Adalmann in the crater. His telekinesis brought the skeletal mage before him.

Casually, Takeru's hand, enveloped in special magic, precisely grasped Adalmann's soul. Devourer was activated, directly devouring it.

With the devouring, vast memories surged into Takeru's consciousness. Chief among them were extensive magical knowledge, including numerous necromantic and holy spells.

Beyond memories, Adalmann's soul became nourishment, slightly enhancing Takeru's overall capabilities… though somewhat inferior to the Orc Demon Lord's soul.

With Adalmann's soul dissipated, all his undead minions completely lost control. The Undead Dragon and the skeletal swordsman who had fought Akame and Kurome, lacking souls, became motionless.

Having mastered all of Adalmann's magic, Takeru considered briefly. He retrieved the souls of the Undead Dragon and the skeletal swordsman from Adalmann's corpse, returned them to their vessels, and imposed Necromancy Control magic upon them.

The Undead Dragon and skeletal swordsman shuddered, then knelt before Takeru.

Having secured these two formidable entities, Takeru had no further use for the remaining ordinary skeletal soldiers. They were too weak, too numerous. Takeru had nowhere to place them.

Considering this, Takeru closed his eyes. Before him, a special magic circle rapidly formed, while seven layered magic circles manifested in the sky.

"Terminus of All Things, Spiritron Collapse!" As Takeru's words fell, the magic rapidly coalesced. Yet, just as the destructive strike was about to land, Takeru released another spell: "Spiritron Runaway!"

With the successful execution of Spiritron Runaway, the already-concentrated spiritrons rapidly diffused. Soon, immense spiritrons flooded the entire desolate region.

Every undead within the spiritron saturation received its baptism, rapidly crumbling and dissipating into the land.

Takeru had purified them, liberating the countless undead...

Nearby, Esdeath and Yamza engaged in fierce combat, utterly unaffected by Takeru's actions.

Compared to Esdeath and Yamza's battle, Diablo's engagement with Mjurran seemed almost playful.

Though Mjurran possessed considerably greater power than ordinary monsters and strong magical comprehension and application, before the absolute disparity in strength, even Diablo, in a playful mood, effortlessly neutralized all her attacks.

After briefly amusing himself with Mjurran, Diablo exerted slight effort, restrained her, and brought her directly to Takeru.

Takeru was unsurprised by Diablo's effortless capture of Mjurran. Their power levels were not remotely comparable.

Mjurran, after being captured by Diablo, looked questioningly at Takeru. Noticing he seemed disinclined to kill her, she offered no struggle.

Unlike the others, Mjurran bore no goodwill toward Clayman. Her heart was in his possession, and her life was not her own. Thus, she was compelled to serve him.

Indeed, among the Five Fingers, aside from Yamza, who voluntarily pledged loyalty, the other members were essentially coerced into Clayman's service.

Mjurran's heart was held by Clayman. The Thumb, Nine, was also under his control. Adalmann, bound by the Demon Lord Kazalim, was unable to flee this region, thus becoming Clayman's subordinate.

As for the Little Finger, Pirone, Takeru was uncertain. She was not in the vicinity of the castle… perhaps dispatched on a mission and already perished.

What Yamza did not realize was that, though he believed his voluntary allegiance exempted him from surveillance, Clayman had long since placed him under a special spell granting complete control.

As Takeru pondered, Esdeath and Yamza's battle neared its conclusion.

Esdeath, originally top-tier in the Akame ga Kill! World, had further enhanced her strength through Takeru's Armament and Observation Haki instruction.

Subsequently, in this world, with Takeru's Demon Lord awakening and the subsequent blessing, her already formidable power was once more amplified. She acquired considerable mana, and with this energy empowerment, all her attributes significantly increased.

Though still inferior to Emilia, Beatrice, Ram, and Rem, who had received Takeru's naming and blessing, among Takeru's other followers, Esdeath's strength was undeniably fifth.

Furthermore, due to her combat instincts and disposition, Esdeath could keep pace with the top tier… albeit at the very rear of that tier. Yet subduing a mere Frozen Swordmage like Yamza was well within her capabilities.

Though both wielded ice, compared to Esdeath's Demon's Extract, Yamza's ice magic was utterly child's play.

Throughout Esdeath's relentless assault, Yamza was consistently at a disadvantage. Despite employing special movement techniques, under the scrutiny of Observation Haki, he could not hide.

Esdeath had merely been toying with him, delaying his defeat.

"An unknown entity, yet you fight the foremost of the Five Fingers to a standstill. Admirable. However, my victory is now assured." Having erupted with considerable power, temporarily repelling Esdeath, Yamza spoke slowly.

"Oh? What did you say? Your victory is assured? By virtue of that magic sword of yours?" Hearing Yamza's arrogant proclamation, Esdeath paused momentarily, then mocked.

Truthfully, Yamza's magic sword was indeed quite formidable, effortlessly shattering Esdeath's ice spikes and blades and amplifying his ice magic. Yet, that was all.
