"You're right," Ryker said, brow furrowed. "This darkness hasn't disappeared. It's been pushed deeper… waiting to erupt again."
"Then did we fail?" Biscuit asked. Her tone was calm, but doubt lingered beneath it. "We destroyed Kaelthas and his domain."
"Not failure," Ryker replied. "Just a temporary calm."
His gaze turned distant.
"Kaelthas wasn't the true core. He was only the surface."
"The real source lies deeper. Older."
"Something we haven't reached yet."
He turned to the others.
"Gon. Killua. Biscuit."
"Ready?"
"We go to the deepest layer."
"We find the source."
"And we end it."
Gon didn't hesitate.
"We're ready."
"If we've come this far, we finish it."
Killua clenched his fist. Lightning flickered across his skin.
"Whatever's down there, we deal with it."
Biscuit nodded once.
"Together. We break this continent's chains."
"Good."
Ryker faced forward.
"Then we move."
They stepped into the depths. The deeper they went, the heavier the air became. Darkness thickened. Each step felt like descending into an endless abyss.
Then — Ryker stopped.
Ahead stood a ruin. Ancient. Massive. Wrapped in dense, suffocating darkness. Its presence alone felt forbidden.
"We're here," Ryker said quietly. "This is the source."
"The true core of the Dark Continent."
The gates of the ruin opened slowly. Darkness poured out. Violent. Hungry.
"Stay sharp," Ryker said. "This is the final trial."
They stepped inside. The moment they crossed the threshold — the space twisted violently. The darkness reacted. Something awakened.
A voice echoed from the depths. Cold. Heavy.
"Who dares enter my domain?"
Ryker stepped forward.
"We do."
"There's nowhere left for you to hide."
The darkness surged. A massive presence began to take shape. A figure cloaked in pure black energy. Its aura crushed down on them instantly.
Biscuit's voice dropped.
"Careful. This one is different."
Even she felt the pressure.
Killua's eyes sharpened.
"So this is it."
"The real ruler."
"Finally."
The figure spoke again.
"You foolish beings."
"You step into oblivion willingly."
"Your existence ends here."
The darkness exploded. Space fractured. Black tendrils tore out from the cracks, surging toward them with annihilating force.
The final battle — had begun.
