The dark clouds flashed with lightning as serpentine bolts streaked across the sky. Deafening cracks of thunder echoed through the air, while the land below became soaked in blood and gore.
The battle cries of the experts of Glory City and the furious roars of the demon beasts blended into a chaotic symphony as blades and claws sank into flesh, dyeing the battlefield crimson as the battle reached its peak.
All the Demon Spiritualists fought atop the city wall, killing thousands upon thousands of demon beasts that swarmed the wall.
In the distance, the Myriad Soul Puppet Army worked like bloodthirsty butchers, mowing down large numbers of beasts and filling the air with the thick stench of blood.
Despite Glory City's formidable defenses, a few demon beasts still managed to pass through the wall, prompting the fighters at the bottom of the wall to engage in a bloody battle.
"Die! You stupid beast! Hahaha! Die by the hand of Old Man Kuon!" the older fighter yelled in elated fury as he drove his sword through the body of a Gold-rank demon beast, making it cry out in pain.
ROAR!
"Ugh!"
Panic etched his aged features as he tried to pull his weapon out, but found it stuck. The beast's arm swung violently, striking the old man and sending him crashing to the ground, forcing the air from his lungs. The beast growled as its foot landed heavily on Old Man Kuon's chest, pinning him down. It then opened its mouth to finish him off.
"DIE!"
Just before the beast could sink its teeth into old man Kuon, a long spear pierced through its temple, exiting from the other side and causing its body to seize up before falling limp to the ground.
"W-WHAT!" Old Man Kuon exclaimed in shock as blood sprayed across his ashen face.
Wiping the blood away, the old fighter saw a hand reaching out to him. He paused for a moment before taking the offered hand and allowing himself to be helped to his feet.
As he recognized the person who had helped him, Old man Kuon began to bellow with laughter, causing blood to spray from his mouth.
"Hahaha! Cough... cough... hahaha! See? I told you, you'll get used to it once the battle starts!" Old Man Kuon said with a laugh to the blood-soaked fighter before him. It was the young fighter he had been talking to earlier.
"I-I fucking hate this job!" the young fighter protested. He looked worn out, with blood and gore covering his entire body, but despite that, the undeniable fighting spirit in his eyes remained ablaze.
"We all did. Hahaha, we all did," Old Man Kuon agreed, giving the young fighter a good slap on the back.
Suddenly, the two of them were enveloped in a soft glow as a warm sensation soaked into their battered bodies, healing their injuries and restoring their strength.
The two looked on in shock as every fighter around them was enveloped in the same glow.
"W-what is this?" the young fighter asked as he checked his condition.
"I have no idea, but whatever this is, it probably came from the Goddess. Only a Goddess can perform such a divine miracle," Old Man Kuon exclaimed, looking very happy as he flexed his body.
On top of the tallest wall, Chen Linlin's entire body was enveloped in brilliant light as she used the domain ability of her Ancestral Mother Purification Sutra cultivation technique.

It was a wide-range healing ability that could restore all her allies' health and stamina to full, as long as they were within its range.
Behind her sat her grandfather, Chen Shenxin. His current appearance was far different from how he used to look. His entire body was red as a ruby and covered in golden runes. The Essence Blood Tempering Array continuously refined the essence blood in the air, causing both his cultivation and his understanding of the Law of Slaughter to steadily increase.

In the far distance, near the Wu Zhen Yi Ruins, Xue Hui and Nie Li moved with speed and precise movements as they worked to break the locked inscriptions laid out in the Behemoth Slayer Sword. Beads of sweat streamed down their faces as they flew across the surface of the giant sword.

Golden flames burst forth, scorching the face of the Silao Grande. The gigantic beast let out a miserable cry as it struggled against its restraints, causing massive cracks to appear in the enormous guillotine trapping it.
Seeing this, a worried expression etched onto Yu Yan's delicate face. She had been giving her all to defeat the enormous beast.
But despite all her efforts, the Silao Grande remained on its feet, struggling as it continued to weaken the Law of Guillotine with its sheer strength.

"No!" Yu Yan's eyes went wide as she flew higher into the air, seeing the chains restraining the Silao Grande snap one after another.
Freeing half of its body, the Silao Grande unleashed an enormous surge of spiritual energy, causing the already-cracked guillotine to explode.
"ROAR!"
A massive wall of dust billowed into the air. The Silao Grande stood at its full height, its charred face twisted in fury as its gaze locked onto Yu Yan.
SWIRL!
Its maw opened as an enormous amount of spiritual energy was sucked into its mouth, condensing into a swirling mass of energy. A searing-hot core at its center radiated extreme heat, distorting the space around it.
Yu Yan saw this, and a sense of crisis enveloped her. With blinding speed, she tore through the wind like an arrow released from a bow as the Silao Grande unleashed its beam attack in her direction.
BOOM!
An enormous beam of light, as thick as a centuries-old tree, stretched across the battlefield, destroying everything in its path. The Silao Grande moved its head, tracking the escaping Yu Yan and causing the beam of light to sweep across the land.
In an instant, the landscape around them was annihilated. Everything the beam of energy passed over was left in ruins. Mountains were cleaved apart, and the entire surrounding area was bathed in a sea of flames. That single attack from the Silao Grande turned the fertile land into a scorched hellscape.
Fear gripped Yu Yan as she watched the land before her burn. It wasn't hard to imagine what would happen if the Silao Grande used that attack to destroy Glory City.
Biting her lips, Yu Yan dove down, enveloping herself in golden flames. Her eyes shone with determination. If she couldn't defeat the Silao Grande, she at least needed to make sure it didn't approach the city.
ROAR!
Seeing the golden flames illuminating the skies in dazzling brilliance, the Silao Grande let out an earth-shaking roar. It opened its maw once again as it charged up for another attack, intending to hit its mark this time.
Then, suddenly, a brilliant light flashed through the Silao Grande's eyes. As a thought flashed through its mind, its enormous frame moved, turning its back to Yu Yan and facing the direction of Glory City. The mass of condensed energy in its maw swirled even faster, growing more powerful by the second.
Fear crept into Yu Yan's heart. The Silao Grande was a Spiritual Grade demon beast with intelligence comparable to that of a human. Based on its actions alone, it was clear that its goal was to destroy the city.
Although Glory City was a great distance away from them, Yu Yan was certain that the Silao Grande's beam attack would surely reach the city. If it did not completely destroy it, the attack would still claim lives.
Desperate, Yu Yan's flying speed increased as she turned into a blur before positioning herself between the Silao Grande and Glory City. Channeling all her remaining strength, she created a wall of golden flames, fully intending to block the attack.

BOOM!
"Ahhh!" Yu Yan let out a painful grunt as she tanked the attack. A massive explosion erupted as the land around her was engulfed in massive explosion, the overwhelming blast tearing everything apart.
"Argh!" Yu Yan's body was blasted away, violently hurling her into the ground. Blood streamed from the corner of her lips as her vision became blurry. The attack had not only exhausted all her spiritual energy but also inflicted severe injuries on her body.
As she lay on teb ground, the land around her shook violently as heavy footsteps echoed through the battlefield. The Silao Grande let out a victorious cry as it walked toward the fallen Yu Yan.
Despite her small size, the Silao Grande had no trouble locating her, fully intending to crush the Spiritual Goddess beneath its weight. It lifted its enormous leg above her, casting the Spiritual Goddess in its shadow.
Yu Yan tried to move but found it difficult in her current condition. Unable to run, she closed her eyes and braced herself for the incoming death.
That was when a familiar voice entered her ears.
"A mere beast wants to kill Big Sis Yu Yan? You're not enough!"
The space around Yu Yan rippled before a hand shot out from it and retrieved her, just seconds before the enormous leg crashed down.
A feeling of warmth enveloped Yu Yan's battered body as Xue Hui used the Origin of Life to heal her injuries. The sensation made Yu Yan let out a shaky breath as relief washed over her.
"Roar!"
Noticing that Yu Yan had managed to escape, the Silao Grande let out another enraged roar as it turned its head toward Xue Hui. Rage filled its eyes as it sucked in a massive amount of air before letting out a furious roar.
"ROAA-"
SLASH!
BOOM!
Its loud cry was cut short when the sky above the Silao Grande rippled. From it, the tip of the Behemoth Slayer Sword, covered in vermilion flames, emerged, plunging down with tremendous force and piercing straight through the Silao Grande's back and out through its stomach.
"ROOOAR!"
A miserable shriek echoed, followed by a massive tremor as the Silao Grande's massive legs gave out, and its body collapsed onto the ruined land.
The Behemoth Slayer Sword, glowing with a vermilion light, was pulled free from the Silao Grande's body before being raised into the air by the twelve-armed woman.
"That's!?" Yu Yan's eyes glistened with surprise as she stared in awe at the towering sight of the Origin Maiden, Yuanshou, wielding the Behemoth Slayer Sword and lifting it above her head.
The biggest drawback of the Behemoth Slayer Sword was the difficulty of utilizing it, as it consumed too much spiritual energy just to move it through the air.
Something Xue Hui had solved by summoning Yuanshou in her largest form to wield the sword. It was a brilliant yet simple solution that left even Nie Li speechless before he asked Xue Hui to teleport him back to the city wall.
The Behemoth Slayer Sword possessed a unique ability called Vermillion Flame Edge. This was the reason why, despite the Silao Grande possessing a nearly impenetrable hide that could withstand even Legend-rank attacks, it was easily pierced through by the Behemoth Slayer Sword.
The Silao Grande lifted its head and opened its maw, intending to blast Yuanshou with its powerful beam in an attempt to escape its predicament.
PUNCHED!
Unfortunately for the Silao grande, Yuanshou didn't give the beast any chance to build up its attack. She drove one of her fists into its opened mouth before using the Origin of Piercing to destroy the structure of the condensed energy.
BOOM!
CRUNCH!
Unable to unleash its beam attack, the Silao Grande resorted to biting down on Yuanshou's arm. Using its powerful jaws, the Silao Grande tore the arm from the rest of her body.
But to its horror, Yuanshou remained unfazed as the Behemoth Slayer Sword shone even brighter with vermilion light, illuminating the battlefield with its brilliant radiance.
"ROAR!"
SLICE!
THUD!
A defiant roar reverberated across the battlefield before the sound of a sword tearing through flesh cut it short. Once the roar died down, the sound of something heavy hitting the ground echoed across the battlefield as the enormous head of the Silao Grande was severed from its body, blood streaming from the stump and forming a river beneath its corpse.
