Chapter 139 - Chapter 139: The Weight of Waiting

The academy changed within days.

Not outwardly at first.

Classes still continued. Students still trained across the combat arenas and cultivation halls. Instructors still monitored spiritual synchronization tests while awakened departments handled the growing number of global incidents caused by the Great Awakening.

Yet beneath the surface-

Everything had begun shifting.

Because the people who returned from the Tibetan ruins carried knowledge capable of changing the world itself.

Inside the sealed conference hall, the principal stood before a massive digital projection displaying portions of Krishak's handwritten cultivation manuscripts.

Every page carried dense notes.

Corrections.

Warnings.

Detailed explanations about spiritual foundations and cultivation psychology.

Unlike modern cultivation manuals that focused heavily on increasing power quickly, Krishak's writings emphasized stability above everything else.

"Most awakened cultivators today force advancement," Professor Devika explained quietly.

She turned another projected page.

"But these methods..."

Her expression remained complicated.

"They reduce spiritual instability before it even begins."

The instructors remained silent while reading.

Because they understood the significance immediately.

If these methods spread widely-

Humanity's cultivation standard itself would rise.

The principal slowly closed one of the projected pages.

"And he wrote all this while still being a student.."

Even now, disbelief lingered in his voice.

Director Rao crossed his arms.

"He was preparing for something long before we realized.

Nobody argued.

Because looking back now

The signs had always existed.

Krishak never pursued power recklessly.

Never sought influence.

Never joined factions.

He studied every cultivation path carefully.

Observed people constantly.

Prepared quietly.

One senior instructor frowned.

"The governments will oppose unrestricted distribution."

"Yes," Director Rao answered calmly.

"Especially after the archive techniques begin spreading."

The room fell silent again.

Because everyone understood what releasing those techniques truly meant.

It would weaken monopolies.

Ancient clans.

Private awakened organizations.

Even governments themselves.

Yet eventually, the principal nodded slowly.

"We proceed."

His gaze remained steady.

"Part by part."

The first publication would begin with Krishak's foundational handwritten teachings.

Not advanced techniques.

Not dangerous inheritances.

Only the basics.

The importance of choosing the right path.

Building proper foundations.

Understanding balance between

cultivation and mental discipline.

And after that-

The world itself would begin changing.

Meanwhile, Krishak's friends continued carrying out the responsibilities he left behind.

Including the hardest one.

Later that evening-

Krishak's friends visited his home.

The atmosphere there felt painfully normal.

Warm lights glowed softly through the windows while the scent of food still lingered faintly inside the house.

For a brief moment, it almost felt impossible that the world had changed so drastically.

Krishak's mother opened the door with a smile at first.

Then immediately noticed their expressions.

Her smile faded slowly.

"What happened?"

Nobody answered immediately.

Because suddenly-

None of them knew how to begin.

Ananya finally stepped forward quietly.

"Krishak is safe."

Those words came first.

They had to.

The conversation afterward became one none of them would ever forget.

Shock.

Silence.

Fear.

Pride.

Pain.

All mixed together.

Krishak's father remained silent for a very long time after hearing everything.

Then finally asked only one question.

"He chose this himself?"

Raghav nodded quietly.

"Yes."

The older man closed his eyes briefly.

And despite the pain visible on his face-

A faint smile appeared.

"..That sounds like him."

His mother cried quietly while holding one of Krishak's books tightly against her chest.

But even then--

She did not ask him to return.

Because deep down—

She already understood why he stayed.

Then, they visited his disciples.

The first they visited was Rohon.

The young blacksmith cultivator stood inside a small forge workshop near the outskirts of the city when they arrived. Heat from spiritual flames illuminated the room while half-finished weapon components rested across several worktables.

The moment he saw them-

He immediately sensed something was wrong.

"..Where's Teacher?"

Silence answered first.

Then slowly—

They explained everything.

The Tibetan ruins.

The Worldheart.

The corruption.

Krishak's decision.

Rohon remained completely still afterward.

The flames inside the forge crackled softly behind him while his hands tightened gradually at his sides.

Then, Ananya handed him a thick handwritten book.

The cover contained countless weapon diagrams and spiritual metallurgy notes.

Path of Creation and Flame Refinement

Written beneath it in Krishak's handwriting were smaller words.

Weapons reflect the heart of the creator. A careless blacksmith creates fragile warriors.

Rohon lowered his head silently while holding the book tightly.

Finally-

His voice shook slightly.

I won't disappoint Teacher."

Spiritual heat erupted softly around the forge afterward.

Steadier than before.

Controlled.

Next, they visited Meera.

Her greenhouse cultivation space overflowed with spiritual herbs and blooming medicinal plants nourished by natural qi circulation.

The moment she heard what happened

She cried immediately.

Not loudly.

Just quietly while clutching the alchemy manual left behind for her.

The book contained detailed notes on alchemy, plant synchronization, healing arts, and nature-based spiritual control.

Entire sections were filled with encouragement and corrections specifically written for her growth.

Meera wiped her eyes carefully after reading several pages.

Then looked toward the spiritual plants surrounding her.

"When Teacher returns"

Her voice remained soft.

I want him to see a garden capable of healing thousands."

Determination gradually replaced sadness inside her eyes afterward.

Arun reacted differently.

The young cultivator responsible for learning wealth management and resource systems sat silently for nearly ten minutes after hearing the truth.

Unlike combat cultivators, Arun's path focused on logistics, organization, trade networks, and long-term resource stability.

A path most awakened people underestimated completely.

Krishak never did.

The manual left for him was enormous.

Filled with notes regarding civilization rebuilding, cultivation economies, alliance structures, ethical trade systems, and organizational leadership.

At the front page-

One sentence was written clearly.

A civilization collapses without resources long before it collapses from enemies.

Arun slowly closed the book afterward.

Then finally spoke quietly.

"I understand."

Raghav frowned slightly.

"Understand what?"

Arun looked toward the academy skyline outside his window.

"Teacher isn't preparing for a few years."

His eyes sharpened slightly.

"He's preparing for the next era."

Silence followed immediately.

Because deep down-

They all knew he was right.

Finally, they visited the twins.

Karan and Tara.

The two reacted completely differently despite their bond.

Karan, who followed the beast tamer path, became furious immediately after hearing the truth.

"You let him stay there alone?!"

Several spirit beasts around him reacted to his emotions instantly, growling uneasily throughout the courtyard.

Dev finally snapped back.

"You think any of us wanted this?!"

Silence followed.

Heavy silence.

Eventually, Karan lowered his head while gripping the beast taming manual tightly.

The handwritten notes inside focused heavily on spiritual empathy and coexistence between humans and spirit beasts rather than forced contracts.

A completely different philosophy than modern beast taming systems.

Finally, Karan exhaled slowly.

"...Then I'll become strong enough to help him next time..."

Tara remained much quieter.

She accepted the formation manual silently while carefully flipping through its pages.

The moment she saw the detailed annotations-

Her eyes widened slightly.

Because every weakness she had hidden during training...

Krishak had already noticed.

And corrected.

Formation diagrams filled nearly every page alongside notes explaining battlefield synchronization, defensive arrays, and large-scale civilization formations.

At the final page-

A single handwritten sentence waited.

Formations exist to protect what matters.Never forget that.

Tara closed the book slowly.

Then nodded once.

"I'll master them before Teacher returns."

Her voice remained calm.

But absolute determination rested beneath it.

That night-

Far beneath the Tibetan mountains-

The Worldheart Chamber glowed silently in the darkness.

Ancient formations stretched endlessly throughout the underground ruins while purification arrays rotated continuously around the central chamber.

The corrupted guardian rested near the fractured seal below, still enduring its endless duty.

And at the center of the formation-

Krishak cultivated alone.

Black corruption flowed toward him continuously like rivers of darkness while silver spiritual energy refined it layer by layer through "The Primordial Origin Arts."

Pain spread constantly through his meridians.

Yet his expression remained calm.

Steady.

Unmoving.

Outside the formation-

The old man watched silently.

And deep beneath the mountains-

The Worldheart continued beating weakly against the darkness trying to consume it.
