Chapter 133 - Chapter 133: The Guardian's Recognition

The chamber fell into absolute silence.

Black mist drifted slowly through the shattered ruins while fragments of broken stone continued sliding across the floor from the guardian's emergence. Ancient corruption saturated the air heavily enough that even breathing felt difficult for weaker cultivators.

Yet the creature no longer attacked.

It simply stared at Krishak.

Four burning silver eyes locked onto him motionlessly through the darkness.

Nobody moved.

Because the pressure radiating from the corrupted guardian was immense.

Ancient.

Wild.

Even restrained by corruption and damaged seals, its presence exceeded most awakened beasts humanity had encountered since the Great Awakening began.

Dev whispered carefully from behind a cracked formation barrier.

66 Please tell me it's having a peaceful emotional realization."

The guardian growled softly.

Dev immediately lowered his spear slightly.

".... I'll stop talking now.

Krishak stood calmly at the front of the group.

The Starheart inheritance within him had become strangely active since the guardian appeared. Spiritual energy flowed naturally through his meridians while faint silver light drifted unconsciously around him.

Not aggressively.

Resonating.

The guardian's burning eyes flickered slightly.

Then slowly—

Its massive body lowered.

The movement stunned everyone present.

Ananya stared in disbelief.

"Did it just.."

"Yes," the old man answered quietly.

"It recognized him."

The corrupted guardian released another low growl.

But this time it no longer sounded hostile.

The sound carried exhaustion instead.

Ancient exhaustion.

Krishak observed the creature silently.

The corruption covering its body spread deeply through its spiritual pathways, twisting both flesh and energy unnaturally. Black crystalline growths protruded from fractured scales while ancient chains still hung broken around portions of its limbs.

Yet beneath all that corruption-

Its original spiritual signature remained.

Barely.

The old man stepped forward slightly.

"Heart Guardians protected the

Worldheart Chambers during the ancient era."

His gaze remained fixed on the creature.

"They were sacred beasts born through

direct exposure to planetary spiritual convergence."

The chamber remained silent except for the unstable pulse below.

Professor Devika stared at the guardian carefully despite the danger.

"So this thing was corrupted during the ancient war?"

"Yes."

The old man's voice grew quieter.

"Many guardians were left behind when " the sealing operations began."

Raghav frowned.

"Then why attack now?"

The old man looked toward the black corruption spreading across the floor.

"Because it's suffering."

The answer changed the atmosphere instantly.

The creature no longer felt like merely another ancient monster hidden beneath Earth.

It felt tragic.

The guardian suddenly released a strained growl again.

This time everyone felt the unstable spiritual fluctuations spreading through the chamber afterward.

The corruption inside its body was worsening rapidly.

The Keeper's projection flickered nearby.

"Warning."

Its distorted voice echoed sharply.

"Guardian core destabilization detected."

Ancient runes illuminated red across portions of the walls.

"Worldheart synchronization declining."

Professor Devika's expression changed immediately.

"If the guardian fully collapses-"

"The corruption reaches the Worldheart directly," the old man finished grimly.

"And if that happens

Nobody needed the rest explained.

The pulse beneath the mountains became more unstable again.

Not steady anymore.

Erratic.

Like a heartbeat struggling to continue.

Krishak stepped forward slowly toward the guardian.

Several people reacted instantly.

"Krishak," Ananya warned sharply.

But he continued walking.

Because the guardian still wasn't attacking.

Its burning silver eyes followed him quietly instead.

The closer he moved—

The stronger the Starheart resonance became.

Silver light drifted naturally around him now, illuminating the dark chamber softly against the spreading corruption.

The guardian lowered its head slightly further.

Recognition.

Trust.

The old man watched silently.

Then finally spoke.

"The Starheart inheritance once maintained harmony between spiritual civilizations and sacred beasts."

His ancient eyes narrowed slightly.

"The guardian remembers.

Krishak stopped only a few meters away from the massive creature.

The corruption surrounding it hissed violently near the silver spiritual energy around him.

Not disappearing.

But reacting.

For a brief moment—

The guardian's eyes cleared slightly.

The burning corruption dimmed enough for faint traces of their original silver color to emerge beneath the darkness.

And then—

A fragmented emotion passed through their connection.

Pain.

Loneliness.

Duty carried for thousands of years.

Krishak's expression shifted subtly.

The guardian had remained beneath the mountains alone since the Sealing Era.

Protecting a dying Worldheart while corruption slowly consumed it over countless centuries.

Suddenly

The creature staggered violently.

A roar erupted from its throat as black corruption surged across its body again, stronger than before.

Cracks spread through nearby walls instantly.

The brief clarity vanished.

The old man's expression darkened.

"The corruption is fighting back."

The guardian roared again.

This time the sound carried desperation.

The unstable pulse beneath the mountains accelerated sharply.

BOOM.

BOOM.

BOOM.

The entire chamber shook violently now.

Ancient formations across the walls began failing one after another.

The Keeper's voice echoed urgently throughout the ruins.

"Critical instability detected."

"Worldheart containment nearing collapse.

Dev stared around the shaking chamber in horror.

That sounds catastrophically bad."

"Yes," Ishita replied quietly.

"It does."

Then the guardian suddenly looked directly at Krishak again.

And through the corruption and pain-

One emotion reached him clearly.

A plea.
