Iris
When I woke up the next morning, the first thing I thought about was the kiss. Not the hunt or the beast that tried to attack me. I didn't even think about the way Hades had lifted me in the presence of everyone.
Instead I thought about the kiss. The one Hades had initiated. My face immediately grew warm.
"I can't believe it."
I threw an arm over my eyes as if that would somehow erase the memory but it didn't. It only made it worse and now all I could think of was his voice when he called my name.
The way his hand had brushed a hair behind my ear and the look in his eyes right before he kissed me so passionately and intensely. I had wanted that kiss as much as he did. The kiss got heated and I essentially ready to take it further before he had pulled away suddenly.
The movement has caught me off guard but when I looked in his eyes I saw the reason why. He had not pulled away because he didn't want me, he was fighting control.
