Haru immediately closed his right eye, wincing in pain.
"Ouch! Something got in... dust... shit..."
He rubbed his eye forcefully, feigning irritation.
"Are you alright?" Isabela asked worriedly.
"Yeah, yeah... I'll just... keep it closed for now."
"I need to learn to control this eye..." he thought desperately. "If Flavius sees, if the Custodians find out... I don't know if this represents danger or anything, but until then it's better to avoid it."
Flavius observed for a second but agreed. "Alright. Split up then. We'll cover more ground that way."
He pointed in different directions.
"Isabela, you go east. Kira, west. I'll stay in the center with Yukihime. Haru..." Flavius looked at him, still rubbing his eye. "...you go north. Smaller area, fewer spirits. Can you manage?"
"I can."
They separated.
