Chapter 46 - Can I escape this chain reaction plan by burning the otaku?

25th Day Morning Inn White Weirdo Pervert

The lecture has been going on all night, or rather from midnight through early morning and is still continuing right now. It is an all-out effort. It is an all-star lineup. It is a siege. It is a linked scheme. If I burn everything, could I escape? The otaku or something? It is okay to burn them, right? These guys have no intention of helping me at all. In fact, let us burn them.

I got yelled at endlessly.

Because there was no other way, right?

I got scolded earnestly.

Because that was something only I could do, right?

I got reproached passionately.

That is the downstream guy's fault, right?

I lost my allowance!

That is too much!!

I worked hard, you know? I was really trying hard!?

The meeting starts. The otaku do not seem to have any intention of helping me. Read the room! I will hunt them later, then burn them.

The muscle-brained idiots were idiots. Fine, I was not expecting anything from you guys anyway...

"So what was it in the end? Why could no one, not a single person, win…?"

"Ah, something like meddling with the mind or nerves? Kind of? Sort of?"

The nerves get controlled. On top of that, you get hallucinations and status abnormalities as a bonus. You cannot even fight properly.

"Um, what was that theft thing?"

"Eh? With copycat? Copied it? Kind of? Sort of?"

That is why no one noticed, no one was on guard, no one saw him as an enemy, and he could prepare. Then he carried it out.

"He had a ton of skills, right? From thirteen people…"

"Hmm? Magic nullification? Instant death? Status abnormalities with hallucinations attached? Something like that?"

It was a setup to break cheats. A setup to kill cheats. The order thought up to keep killing cheats. And because he tried to stick to that order and held back, he died.

"Why~? Was it because it was Haru-kun~?"

Whoa, she is swaying… No, it is nothing. Really.

"Cheat killer. That is what it was. I do not have any cheats? So even if he takes them it does not bother me? Kind of?"

"""Aaaah~"""

He apparently had a cheat-killer killer. Reverse cheat. That is just a penalty game! Where in the world would that even be useful?

Even if he used every skill he had to kill me and steal my skills, even if he only had my skills, he still could not kill the class rep and the others. So either way, he was already checkmated.

"Well, it is because it was in front of the cave. The home of a 'shut-in' is protected. Just like how I never died in the forest even though I was weak… kind of?"

That is why I was trying to go back to the cave. It had to be the cave as my home. I could only fight there. That was the only place where I would not die.

Well, in the end,

"I thought he was a genius but he was actually an idiot? Kind of? If he had used all the stolen skills and kept overwhelming me, he could have won, right? But if he did that he would not be able to fight the other cheat holders? So he held back? That is why he died? Kind of? Sort of?"

He was an idiot. The muscle-brained idiots threw off his order, he wasted his skills, he held back against me and got killed. I killed him.

If he had killed the muscle-brained idiots and stolen from them, he would not have lost. And if he had not held back against me, he would not have lost. Trying to take the place of heroes and champions while being nothing more than a side character means you cannot even become a side character and get killed by another side character. It was supposed to be a fight where we crushed each other, but he wore himself out first.

It was obvious just from looking at the character introductions before the first page even started. We are just side characters. We are mob characters in the hero's tale that is about to begin. Classmate A and B. My role is the weak classmate A who stays in the forest, tames goblins or something, and lives in that cave. Then classmate B comes out of the forest and kills me, but classmate B loses his power and gets killed by monsters before he can leave the forest. That was the kind of story it was supposed to be. That was how it was supposed to end.

Yet even though I am a mob, I kept getting dragged around by the protagonists. That guy misunderstood and thought he was the protagonist. So the story broke. It got broken. And... I survived.

In the story of another world, in a world of swords and magic, he was still an idiot who believed that

1 = 1.

24th Day ended, or rather we are in the middle of entering the 25th Day.
