Rumsshi, the God of Destruction of Universe 10, was in a state of sheer, unadulterated panic. He turned his glare toward his counterpart, his voice trembling with a mix of fury and fear. "Gowasu, explain yourself! How could someone harboring such genocidal thoughts ever become an Apprentice Supreme Kai in our universe? Are you trying to get us all erased?!"
The elephant-headed deity was practically vibrating. The idea of wanting to destroy all of humanityâall mortal lifeâwas unthinkable. Even a God of Destruction, whose very purpose was the annihilation of planets, would never dare to harbor such a radical obsession.
Their role was to maintain the cosmic balance, a necessary cycle of creation and destruction. If they ever wiped out all life, their existence would be rendered meaningless, and the Grand Minister or Zeno himself would delete them from reality in a heartbeat.
Yet here was Zamasu, a mere apprentice from his own backyard, plotting the "Zero Mortals Plan." If Zeno-sama felt even a hint of displeasure, Universe 10 would be scrubbed from the multiverse.
Without waiting for a response, Rumsshi barked an order to his Angel, Cusu, to warp them to the Kaioshin Realm immediately. He didn't trust the good-natured Gowasu to lay a finger on his own disciple; the old man was far too soft-hearted for the discipline this situation required.
Gowasu looked pained, his voice heavy with regret. "Lord Rumsshi, I admit Zamasu had... immature thoughts in the past. But I believed my guidance had steered him back toward the path of a true protector."
"Changed?" Rumsshi snapped back via the divine comms. "If he had changed, the narrator wouldn't be exposing his future sins to the entire multiverse right now!"
Gowasu fell silent. The videos had shifted from showcasing the heights of Saiyan power to revealing grim future timelines. If the narrator was highlighting Zamasu's descent, it meant the apprentice's darkness was not a phase, but a destiny. The appearance of the terrifying Super Saiyan Rosé was now linked directly to this divine corruption.
Zamasu, standing before his master, felt a cold sweat prickle his skin. His innermost thoughts were being broadcast to every living soul across the dimensions. He realized his position was no longer tenable. He needed to find a gap in Gowasu's focus, a moment to seize a Time Ring and vanish into the folds of history.
He didn't want to kill Gowasuâhe genuinely respected the old Kaiâbut only a Supreme Kai could utilize the Time Ring. If murder was the only way to claim the title and fulfill his "justice," he would do what was necessary. For now, he played the part of the confused student. "Lord Gowasu, we don't know the full context yet. Perhaps we should keep watching?"
Darkness Falls on the Future
The screen shifted, moving away from the halls of the gods and back to the mortal realm. The Future Timeline, which had finally found a semblance of peace after the fall of Cell, was now a charred wasteland. The sky was choked with thick, black smoke, and the once-vibrant West City lay in smoldering ruins.
The survivors watched in horror as a wounded Future Trunks scrambled through the debris. In the flickering firelight, Bulma was being hoisted into the air, choked by a dark, looming figure. Just before the light left her eyes, the silhouette stepped forward, revealing a face known across the stars.
It was Son Goku. Or at least, it wore his face.
"Nani?!" Krillin screamed, his eyes nearly popping out of his head. "Goku? That's Goku! How can that be him?!"
Yamcha gripped his hair, pacing frantically. "Goku killed Bulma? This has to be a nightmare. I've finally lost my mind."
Even Bulma, watching from the present, felt a chill run down her spine. "I was killed by Son-kun? What kind of sick joke is this?"
Akira, watching with the cold, analytical eyes of a transmigrator, narrowed his gaze. He knew the tactical implications of a being with Goku's power turning rogue. "Could it be possession?" he mused aloud. "Or perhaps a body-swap? Someone with Goku's Ki and a god's malice would be unstoppable."
Tien Shinhan nodded, his third eye scanning the screen for any hint of the truth. "It's very possible. But how does Zamasu fit in? Could the one inhabiting Goku's body be the apprentice from Universe 10?"
Piccolo crossed his arms, his voice a low rumble. "Zamasu is a god. He likely has access to magic or artifacts we can't fathom. But Goku is in our Universe 7. How did an apprentice from Universe 10 even reach him, let alone take his form?"
Lord Beerus let out a sharp, icy sneer. His Hakai energy flared slightly, singeing the grass beneath his feet. "Interesting. It seems Zamasu's list of crimes is growing. An apprentice from another universe coming into my territory to cause havoc? He's already signed his own death warrant."
In the world of the gods, crossing universes without permission was a grave offense. For a mere apprentice to do so, while masquerading as a mortal and slaughtering the inhabitants of Universe 7, was an insult Beerus would not let stand. The mystery of Black Goku had only just begun to unravel, and the shockwaves were felt from the Earth to the highest heavens.
