In the video, Gohan gripped the hilt of the Z Sword, swinging the massive blade a few times. Even with his augmented hybrid strength, the weapon felt incredibly unwieldy and heavy. Beyond its sheer mass, it didn't seem to possess any mystical properties or hidden techniques.
"First, you must become proficient in wielding it," the Supreme Kai instructed, his voice grave. "Only then can its true power be tapped." Under the purple skies of the Kaioshin Realm, Gohan began his grueling training, the heavy blade whistling through the air as he sought to master its weight.
Meanwhile, back on Earth, the clock was ticking. Trunks broke off from the group, racing toward West City to retrieve the Dragon Ball Radar. To buy him the necessary time, Goku used Instant Transmission, reappearing in a flicker of light directly in front of Babidi and Majin Buu.
Goku attempted to reason with them, his voice calm but firm, asking them to cease their path of destruction. But words were empty air to a sorcerer like Babidi. Infuriated, the wizard ordered Majin Buu to kill the Saiyan immediately. However, Goku noticed a flicker of hesitation in the pink monster; Buu was already beginning to bristle under Babidi's screeching commands.
"You're so strong," Goku remarked, his eyes narrowing as he sowed the seeds of discord. "Why do you even bother obeying a puny guy like him?"
Babidi shrieked in a rage, claiming Buu was nothing more than his subordinate. Though Buu prepared to attack, his face twisted with visible displeasure. Goku saw the opening—the monster was harboring his own thoughts now. To stall further, Goku decided to give them a demonstration they would never forget.
"I'm going to show you something special," Goku said. He began to transform, layer by layer, introducing the Saiyan lineage to his foes. First, he flared into a Super Saiyan, his hair turning gold. Then, he pushed further, the bio-electricity of Super Saiyan 2 crackling around him.
Babidi scoffed, unimpressed. "Vegeta had those same forms, and he died all the same! You're wasting my time!"
"Since that's the case," Goku replied, a smirk playing on his lips, "I'll just surpass it one more time. I'm going to surpass the Super Saiyan who has already surpassed a Super Saiyan!"
Goku planted his feet and let out a guttural, earth-shaking roar. To ensure the world knew there was still hope, Babidi used his magic to transmit the scene directly into the minds of every living soul on Earth. Everyone—man, woman, and child—closed their eyes and saw the grand display of power unfolding.
"Haaah!!!!"
Goku's Ki began to skyrocket at an impossible rate. The entire planet began to tremble; tectonic plates shifted, and the very atmosphere groaned under the pressure. Far away in the sacred Kaioshin Realm, the shockwaves were so intense that Gohan and the Supreme Kai nearly lost their footing.
"This is impossible!" Kibito gasped, his face pale. "The power of a single mortal is reaching all the way to the Realm of the Gods?"
"Ah!!!!" With one final, reality-bending roar, the shackles within Goku's body shattered.
When the dust settled, Babidi stood frozen, his mouth agape. Goku's appearance had shifted drastically. His golden hair had grown into a massive mane reaching down to his waist. His eyebrows had vanished, giving his usually kind face a fierce, primal intensity. Dense, violent arcs of blue electricity flickered constantly around his body—not as mere flashes, but as a constant manifestation of his overflowing energy.
"This is the transformation that surpasses Super Saiyan 2," Goku said, his voice deeper and more resonant. "I suppose you can call it Super Saiyan 3. Sorry it took so long; I'm still not quite used to this form."
The revelation of Super Saiyan 3 sent shockwaves through the Heavens and the Myriad Realms!
Sengoku: "Super Saiyan 3! He actually had this up his sleeve the entire time!"
Sengoku: "Look at the patterns—Super Saiyan 1 and 2 were born from the desperation of battle. But Super Saiyan 3... Goku mastered this through pure training before the fight even began!"
Zhang Chulan: "Good heavens, is this the level of a God? Putting aside the power, his face looks completely different. He looks like a force of nature."
