In the video, Gohan and the Supreme Kai finally reached the lower levels, coming face-to-face with Babidi. But as Gohan braced himself for a rematch against Dabura, a sinister mechanical whirring echoed from behind the wizard.
Babidi spun around, his bug-like eyes widening before his face contorted into a mask of pure, ecstatic joy. The needle on the energy extractor atop Majin Buu's egg had surged, slamming into the red zone. The gauge was at its peak. The energy required to resurrect the scourge of the universe had been fully harvested.
The Supreme Kai paled, his voice trembling with disbelief. "How? How was the energy gathered so quickly?"
Gohan clenched his fists, his gaze hardening as he sensed the tectonic shifts in the atmosphere. "It's my father and Vegeta. They're fighting with power that dwarfs a standard Super Saiyan. The sheer violence of their Ki, combined with the injuries they're inflicting on each other... it's all being siphoned directly into that seal."
Determined to stop the inevitable, Gohan refused to give up. He braced his feet, cupping his hands at his side as blue light began to swirl and hiss. "I won't let it happen! Kamehameha!"
The massive beam of energy slammed into the egg, blasting it across the chamber. Under the weight of the attack, the shell began to spiderweb and crack. Babidi leaned forward with bated breath, while the Supreme Kai watched with a grim, hollow expression. But as the shell shattered completely, no monster emergedâonly a thick, billowing cloud of pink smoke.
"I knew it!" the Supreme Kai cried out, a wave of relief washing over him. "Majin Buu must have been sealed for too long. He withered away and died eons ago!" It was the best possible outcome; the nightmare was over before it began.
Babidi, however, was in a state of shock. He had sacrificed everything, manipulated the strongest warriors in the galaxy, all for a puff of smoke. But as the Supreme Kai turned to share his joy with Gohan, he saw the young Saiyan standing frozen, his eyes locked onto the sky.
"No... that's not right," Gohan whispered, a cold sweat breaking out on his brow. "The pressure... that Ki is monstrous!"
High above, the pink mist hadn't dissipated. It began to swirl and coalesce, thickening into a solid mass under the horrified gazes of the onlookers. The vapor solidified into a physical form: a large, pink, chubby figure with a curious antenna protruding from its head.
Except for the Supreme Kai, no one had ever seen the face of the Great Devourer. The deity's teeth chattered as he retreated a step. "It... it's him. That is Majin Buu! I will never forget that face until the day I die!"
The Multiverse Reaction
In the Kaioshin Realm of Universe 7, the present Supreme Kai watched the screen, his hands trembling. Even through a video, the psychological trauma of seeing that pink silhouette brought back memories of his fallen brethren.
The rest of the multiverse, however, was having a very different reaction.
Sanji: "Wait, that's Majin Buu? He looks... actually kind of cute."
Kurosaki Ichigo: "I was expecting a terrifying demon lord. I didn't expect a giant marshmallow."
Uzumaki Naruto: "Believe it! Compared to that pink guy, Babidi actually looks way more like a villain."
Lina: "If someone made a plushie of that thing, it would sell like crazy."
Across various dimensions, toy manufacturers were already sketching designs for "Buu Dolls." After all, image copyright didn't matter when the owner lived in another universe entirely.
Babidi (Present Day): "Is this really the thing my father created? Is this fat guy truly the ultimate weapon?" He looked at the egg beside him, feeling a sudden wave of confusion. Where was the terror? Where was the menace?
Supreme Kai: "Do not be deceived by appearances! Majin Buu is a walking catastrophe!"
Champa: "Hold on, why does he look like our Universe 6 Supreme Kai?"
Supreme Kai: "He looks that way because he absorbed the Grand Supreme Kai eons ago. He took on his form and his kindness, but the power beneath is still pure chaos."
Beerus: "Hey Champa, maybe your Supreme Kai and our Grand Supreme Kai were brothers? It'd explain the family resemblance."
Akira watched the bickering Gods of Destruction with an amused smirk. It was a valid theoryâif the Destroyers were brothers, why wouldn't the Kaioshins be? He remembered the legends of the Grand Supreme Kai; the man had once sealed away the world-eater Moro, likely exhausting his divine power before being consumed by Buu. These viewers were falling into a classic trap: assuming lack of threat based on aesthetics.
The First Strike
Back in the video, Majin Buu ignored everyone, skipping around and blowing steam from the holes in his flesh like a child at play. His juvenile behavior left Gohan and Babidi utterly bewildered.
Dabura, the King of the Demon Realm, couldn't contain his disdain. "This is the legendary Majin? He's nothing but a bloated puppet!" He openly mocked the creature, unaware he was signing his own death warrant.
Buu's eyes narrowed. In a blur of speed that defied his weight, he moved. With a simple eye-poke and a brutal flying kick, he sent the Demon King crashing into the rock, unconscious before he hit the ground.
The sheer, effortless power displayed silenced the room. Gohan's blood ran coldâhe realized now that Buu wasn't just strong; he was incomprehensible. Babidi cackled, emboldened by the monster's strength, though he quickly realized Buu didn't care for orders. It was only when Babidi threatened to seal him back in the egg that the pink creature begrudgingly bowed.
Pointing a gnarled finger at the two heroes, Babidi gave his first command: "Kill them! Kill Gohan and the Supreme Kai!"
