Chapter 25 - The Girl No One Could Find

Just then, Siddharth walked over to Angel.

"I need to talk to you," he said.

Monster frowned. "What is it?"

Angel sighed. "Can't you see I'm barely able to stand? Do you really have to interrupt right now?"

Siddharth scratched his head. "Fine, I'll say it in front of everyone." He took a deep breath before continuing. "You'll have to come with me to India."

Angel stared at him in disbelief.

"Brother, have you lost your mind?

Everyone is already in terrible

condition. Haiku, Kuro, Emma, and Zoya are all lying unconscious in the ICU, and you're talking about leaving now?"

"I know," Siddharth replied seriously.

"But you also know your family belongs to a Mafia family. Their organisation is huge. If you refuse to go, then I'll speak to them and ask them to send... her instead."

"Then take them," Angel answered immediately. "I can't go. Or better yet, don't take anyone. If they don't recover, I won't be able to handle everyone here by myself."

"That's exactly the problem," Siddharth muttered, rubbing his forehead. "And on top of that, those two idiots have ruined themselves as well. I think... I should take him instead."

Monster's eyes narrowed.

"Who?"

"King," Siddharth replied.

Angel quickly stepped in.

"King... please calm down."

Monster let out a long sigh.

"...Fine."

Angel turned back to Siddharth.

"Then go and talk to him."

"I will. As long as he agrees. Until then, Tamayo will stay here with you. We'll leave the day after tomorrow."

Angel shook her head.

"There's no need. Take Tamayo with you too. I'll manage."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes."

The scene shifted to Haruto.

He suddenly realised he had forgotten his phone in Haiku's hospital room.

"I still have to pay the hospital bill...

Where's my phone?"

A moment later, it clicked.

"It must be in Haiku's room."

He walked towards the room and reached for the doorknob.

Just before opening it, he noticed a girl sitting quietly on the windowsill.

"...Who is she? And why is she in Haiku's room?"

He immediately opened the door and stepped inside.

But...

There was no one.

He looked around the room in confusion.

"Looks like I'm going blind..."

Picking up his phone, he started to leave, but suddenly stopped.

"No... I clearly saw her."

He walked over to the window and looked down.

"We're on the fifth floor... There's no way anyone could have come here."

Shaking his head, he left.

The mysterious girl was then shown hiding behind a large tree outside, silently staring at Haiku's room.

A faint smile appeared on her lips.

"One day... you'll be with me."

With those words, she disappeared into the darkness.

At the same time, Emma slowly opened her eyes.

Several IV cannulas were attached to her hands.

"What is this nonsense?"

Ignoring the pain, she pulled them out one by one.

Just then, she noticed someone staring at her from the doorway.

Emma immediately tried to stand, but her weakened body gave out, and she collapsed onto the floor.

Hearing the loud thud, everyone rushed into her room.

Angel quickly helped her up.

"I told you not to move! Why are you doing this on purpose?"

Emma ignored the scolding.

"Forget that. Tell me... where are Haiku, Kuro, and Zoya? Have they regained consciousness?"

"Haiku woke up for a while," Angel replied. "But he's asleep again. As for the other two... they're still unconscious."

Emma frowned.

"There was someone standing outside my room just now. Was that you?"

Angel shook her head.

"No."

Emma's expression turned serious.

"Then... was I hallucinating?"

Just then, Haruto entered the room.

"I thought I saw someone in Haiku's room too."

Siddharth nodded.

"Haiku also told me there was a girl in his room."

Emma crossed her arms.

"I don't think all three of us imagined the same thing."

Suddenly, several armed men stormed into Emma's room.

Emma looked at them in surprise.

"Now who are these people?"

Without saying a word, they raised their guns and aimed at Emma.

Before they could pull the trigger—

Bang! Bang! Bang!Bang!

Tamayo and her squad burst into the room from behind, shooting every attacker before they had a chance to fire.

"Everyone asks Siddharth, 'What?' And diva( Diva means a woman who is admired for her confidence, talent, or special qualities and Who is not afraid of anyone. )Tamayo, while taking action, says, 'I'm not just like that — I'm the best sniper.'"

The sudden gunshots shocked the doctors.

One of them turned pale, became dizzy, and collapsed onto the floor.

Emma couldn't hold laughing.

"Who made him a doctor? He can't even handle a little blood."

Angel rolled her eyes.

"He's a doctor, not someone who fights gang wars with us. He's not used to seeing this much blood."

Just then, a sharp pain shot through Emma's head.

She suddenly coughed up blood.

The doctor sighed helplessly.

"You've already turned the ICU upside down. What am I even supposed to say? Besides... this hospital belongs to your father."

Angel gave an awkward smile.

"Thanks..."

At that moment, Angel's mother entered the room.

"I thought all of you were supposed to be home by one o'clock. It's already six in the morning!"

Angel pointed at Emma.

"Mom, forget that. Look at the mess this idiot has made."

Angel's mother ignored her completely and walked straight to Emma, pulling her into a warm hug.

"I'm your aunt, you know. At least tell me something before disappearing like that."

Emma smiled weakly.

"Later... My head hurts too much. First, clean all this blood."

Angel sighed dramatically.

"They're exactly the same. My aunt used to be the President of the entire gang... and now her niece is just like her."

The next second, both Emma and her aunt shouted at the same time.

Haruto blinked in confusion.

"What is this? A spider's web?

Everywhere I look, another one of Emma's relatives appears."

Just then, Rai called Siddharth.

"I need to come there."

"No need," Siddharth replied.

"He hasn't even asked about Emma.

How many times do I have to explain?

I'm telling the truth. I haven't spoken to her in five years. Ever since I left, I haven't been able to contact her."

A soft voice came from the other end.

"Please... let me meet them just once."

Siddharth let out a tired sigh.

"I just finished convincing her. Now do I have to convince you too? Go to sleep. You can meet everyone tomorrow. No one is going anywhere."

Author's Note 💙

Hey everyone! 💕

My exams are finally over! 🎉 This chapter is a bit shorter than usual chapter because my exams just ended yesterday, and my school is so generous that they dumped a mountain of work on us the moment the exams finished. 😭 So I've been busy completing all of that.

But I promise I'll do my best to make the upcoming chapters longer and update more regularly... hopefully. 😅

I do have faith in myself... but I'm also a little too lazy. 😂 If a chapter doesn't appear, just assume I'm probably sleeping. 🤭

Well... I guess I'm active again now. Maybe. 😅 At least I'm trying to be!

I really hope you enjoy the upcoming chapters. Please don't forget to leave your comments—they always motivate me to keep writing! 💖

See you in the next chapter! Bye~ 👋✨
