All of the Gu yin batch of sect disciple were gathered in the garden with an Elder surnamed Zhou, who had assigned them the task worth of 100 points.
Every five year a large group of disciple in qi gathering state will be assigned a task, which provides them 100 points.
To normal disciple who earn points through sect task and normal channel, 100 points are alot for them.
But for disciple like her who are capable of earning points and spirit stone through selling stuffs, this is small spon of gold.
Of course Gu yin don't look down on these 100 points, specially when this count as her first sect task.
She along with her sisters Gu ya and Gu Xiao, who are excited about the 100 points.
Gu ya "what kind of task do you think it is" she excitedly ask them.
Gu Xiao "if had to be easy since they are asking for disciple in qi gathering state...right" she's quite nervous about it.
Gu yin "as you said, cousin it had to be in our capability" she tried to comfort her and was quite curious about the task.
The task in the task hall are divided into D, C,B and A rank. D rank being easiest task and A rank being hardest.
D rank task are basically for servants and outer sect disciple and highest amount of points you can get is 10 points.
C rank are for new and weak outer sect disciple who are daring enough to venture into dangerous forests.
B rank are for inner sect disciple, with the level of difficulty the amount of points being payed are also generous.
A rank task are for Elders in the sect, these task are not post, but rather send to the courtyard of various Elders anyone interested in the task can sign up.
Elder Zhou "everyone, listen up we will be entering restricted area of the sect. Every five year we gather disciple in qi gathering stage to enter this place, follow me"
He didn't said much about the task and normal one dare to question him, they just followed him behind.
They all walk from the sect garden and reach the woods. Elder Zhou asked everyone to be near each other least they get separated.
Soon, they reach a cave and enter it, now the cave had started getting dark. Elder Zhou take out a peal which easily lit up the whole cave amazing everyone.
But it didn't relax Gu yin nerve, at this point the deeper they venture inside the cave, the more nervous and cautious she becomes.
She had no idea where the Elder Zhou even taking them, what if he someone who belongs to the dark part of the sect. Who had tricked them away and going to sacrifice them to gain power.
She couldn't stop her mind from overthinking, couple with the fact that the cave is turning darker, colder and creepier isn't helping.
Gu xiao and Gu ya are practically gluing with each other in fear, they not the only one who are nervous and scared.
After walking forward sometime they reach a river "we need to cross this river" he pull the boat so the kids can climb more easily.

No one, not even single soul moved from their original place at this point. Elder Zhou realise that he might had scared the kids.
Elder Zhou "cough cough... Kids we are about to reach one of the registered place in the sect, it's a small area of an Ancient Fallen battlefield.
This place is full of yin energy which breed a certain type of ghost known as lantern ghost, they aren't very strong or dangerous. So, even you kids with practically no fighting experience can deal with.
We bring kids like you to gain some experience at the same time get rid of these lantern ghost, as I said they are not dangerous but too many can be problem. So, we arrange a sect task every five year and let you all deal with it.
There are few things I need to tell you about, this place is a battlefield. So, you might find blood or remains, you can also find lost weapon of god's or demon, some martial arts manual. It's pretty rare to find these things but it still happen, if you find one you can exchange them for point's.
Don't try to hide them on you thinking that you had gotten your hand on treasure, they are broken weapon which you can't control and half written manual which can be dangerous to practice. And.. to be clear their had been cases of deaths who didn't listen.
Now everyone move and get in the boat, I will take you to the battlefield and no one will get too close to the edge of boat. I'm not dealing with drowning kids once more"
The last sentence is said with annoyance and irritation, which show that someone had done that before.
Once again kids can do pretty questionable stuffs all of the time, this time everyone get in the boat without any problem.
It took only half an hour before they reach the Ancient Fallen battlefield. They look at the cracked ground shatter bones, blank mist, weird blurry figure with a bright light or orb attacked on their head resembling the lantern.
Gu yin can clearly see from where the name lantern ghost came from here, but even though Elder Zhou had said they harmless.

Elder Zhou easily burn those ghosts away and help the boy up, the poor boy had pale face and shivering in cold.

Kids were scared at first but with one kid taking step other also become bolder and bolder, at first half of the night kids were running away from the ghosts crying, wailing and screaming in terror.
Other half of the night the lantern ghost were running away from the kids who had lost their fear and getting their revenge.
Elder had said that it's rare for some to find broken weapon, artifact or manual. But someone in the group actually got his hand on something ancient.
