"Follow-up shot!"
"Hat trick!"
"OOOOHHHH!"
"The third one is here! Leo Lin's third goal!"
"Mané's rescue on the byline was absolutely beautiful!"
"From the angle shown on the broadcast, the ball was already on the white line, but it hadn't gone out. If it's on the line, it's still in play. Then Mané swung his leg and sent it into the box!"
"Firmino's first header hit the post, but Leo Lin followed up and put it away to claim his third goal!"
"In this first leg of the Champions League semifinal, Liverpool have left Barcelona gasping for air. Barcelona are in the middle of a generational transition, and against a young Liverpool side that has already gelled so well, they really are at a disadvantage. At least tactically, the gap between them is obvious."
After Leo Lin scored his third, Zubizarreta was already being hugged tightly by Krawietz.
"Krawietz! Let go of me!"
Zubizarreta struggled wildly, but Krawietz said nothing and simply held Zubizarreta's bald head tight.
He wanted to know why Zubizarreta's brain was always packed with so many useful tactics.
"Why do you always have so many tactical ideas? You're incredible!"
Zubizarreta could not explain it, but he came from Athletic Bilbao, an interesting club that did not use foreign players. Because of that, the coaching staff had to design better team tactics based on the abilities of the players they had.
That was the skill Zubizarreta had sharpened over so many years. After coming to Liverpool, he felt his abilities had been magnified by this squad, because Liverpool had so many players with strong traits and outstanding individual quality.
In the stands, Hierro was watching the match. His purpose was to evaluate the performances of the Spanish players. Barcelona had quite a few Spanish players in their squad, but Alba and Busquets had certainly not impressed Hierro with their performances so far. Leo Lin's outstanding display, however, was more than enough to comfort him.
"Hierro has appeared in the stands. Reports say the latest generation of the Spanish national team is deciding on a new captaincy group."
"Hierro is preparing to name three captains. Sergio Ramos is definitely one of them, while Piqué and Busquets have both made it clear that even if they are selected for the national team, they will no longer serve as captains. They hope to pass the baton to the younger generation."
Gullit had made it very clear. The player currently most suited to enter Spain's captaincy group had already scored three goals on the pitch.
Scholes knew it too. Based on Leo Lin's performances and his influence in the dressing room, he was perfectly suited to become Spain's new captain.
After all, many young players newly called up to the Spanish national team, such as Raya and others, had said they were very willing to play alongside Leo Lin.
Not long ago, in the European Championship qualifier against Norway, after Leo Lin scored, the sight of the young players around him celebrating wildly had stayed in the minds of countless fans.
Once play resumed, the Barcelona players could only fight with everything they had. They had no other option.
"Barcelona are going all out against Liverpool!"
"Coutinho with the through ball, Messi shoots!"
"The angle isn't there. Alisson saves it!"
"In this match, Alisson is Barcelona's Wall of Sighs, and Van Dijk is the strongest pillar in Liverpool's back line!"
"The corner comes in. Suárez attacks it, but Alisson catches it again. That header from Suárez wasn't up to his usual level!"
After Suárez failed with the header, Alisson tried to launch an attack with a throw, but this time Vidal got in his way. That was the Barcelona manager's instruction.
He had brought Vidal on partly to stop Alisson from constantly passing the ball to the rest of Liverpool's players. Alisson's distribution had been making Barcelona extremely uncomfortable.
After Vidal stopped him, Alisson was clearly angry. The two were already South American rivals.
One was from Brazil and the other from Chile. Whenever the two national teams met in the Copa América, the tension was fierce, and now the two of them were arguing again.
Teammates around them tried to calm things down, but Vidal would not let it go. He wanted an explanation from Alisson, while the powerful Van Dijk kept shielding Alisson.
After play restarted, even though Vidal was playing in midfield, he charged toward Liverpool's box again and again, especially with Alisson as his target.
Soon, in the 70th minute, the two began arguing again.
This time, the clash got even more out of control. Vidal ran straight into Alisson, and after the referee blew for a foul on Vidal, Van Dijk also went after him.
"What is the point of doing this?"
"Yes, doing this can stop Alisson from using his distribution, but you can't change the 3-0 scoreline."
"If you really lose by this score, how much hope will Barcelona have of turning it around in the second leg?"
Gullit had said 3-0, but he had spoken too soon, because in the 80th minute, Liverpool seized on a passing mistake from Vidal.
Lenglet was forced into a foul and gave Liverpool another penalty.
Leo Lin stepped up and scored, completing a four-goal haul and claiming the first four-goal game of his Champions League knockout career.
"Leo Lin has scored four goals in the first leg of the Champions League semifinal, and Liverpool are far ahead of Barcelona!"
"A perfect night at Anfield. For Liverpool, it could not be more perfect!"
"They gave Barcelona no real chances and scored four goals!"
In the end, the first leg of the Champions League semifinal finished with Liverpool beating Barcelona 4-0.
"I thought we might lose by one or two, but I never imagined we'd lose by four!"
"If Barcelona's board is smart enough, they should hurry up and buy some young players for the midfield and back line. Who's supposed to take over from Busquets? And Piqué needs cover in defense too. Lenglet's current form isn't good enough for him to start either."
"Don't Wolves want to buy Semedo? Sell Semedo to them, use the money to find a new fullback, or promote a new defender from La Masia to the first team!"
"We've been linked with De Jong and De Ligt for so long. Why haven't the higher-ups made a move yet?"
A four-goal defeat was impossible for Barcelona fans to accept. After the match ended, Hierro immediately went backstage to find Leo Lin.
Leo Lin was still chatting with Busquets when Hierro, dressed in a suit, patted him on the shoulder.
"You were incredible today. That was the best Champions League knockout performance I've ever seen from you!"
Leo Lin thanked Hierro for the praise, and then Hierro revealed the real reason he had come.
"Leo, are you interested in becoming one of Spain's captains and leading the team together with Sergio Ramos?"
"The new generation of young Spanish players will definitely support you as the team's new captain!"
"As long as you agree, I'll make the decision. You'll be the new captain!"
