A low, steady vibration spread beneath everyone's feet, gentler than before yet somehow grander.
Instead of concentrating on a single construction site, the pulse raced outward from the Village Center in every direction, flowing through the open grasslands like invisible ripples across still water.
Blue-white lines burst from the base of the Village Center.
Unlike before, they did not gather around one building. They scattered. One line stretched toward the eastern residential district.
Another curved gracefully around a cluster of mature trees. Several more branched away like veins, spreading across the untouched landscape until an intricate web covered nearly the entire planned neighborhood.
Caleb slowly turned in a circle.
"…It's doing everything at once."
The glowing network expanded farther.
The wide avenue Henry had planned appeared first.
