Well, that chat on the phone turned out fine.

"We'd like you to come to Seattle for an in-person interview," the hiring manager said. "Would next week work?"
Week coming up. That's seven days off ahead.
Another week without a word from Daniel. Still sitting here, counting time. Could have missed my chance by now.
"Actually," I said before I could stop myself, "I could come this week. Tomorrow, even. I'm - flexible."
"Tomorrow?" She sounded surprised. "That's quite short notice."
"I know. But I'm very interested in the position. And I'm ready to make a decision."
She laughed. "Well, we appreciate the enthusiasm. Let me check with the team and get back to you."
She called back two hours later. "If you can be here Friday, we can make it work."
Three days left till Friday. It is getting close now.
Fifty-nine hours left before my arrival in Seattle.
Fifty-nine hours left before seeing Daniel again.
Maybe he'd spot me. Or not.
