Chapter 102 - Science God 102: The Saint Sold Again

"Come with me!"

"No way!"

"Get inside!"

"Absolutely not!!!"

A peculiar scene unfolded near the church. A beautiful girl dragged a cute, younger one toward it.

Their matching golden hair and stunning features made it seem like a mother—or perhaps an older sister—forcing a child to kindergarten.

"Living in a church is bad enough! But you want me to study the Bible? I'd rather sleep on the streets!"

Reines's voice rang with indignation.

"But..."

"But nothing! You have no idea what I went through this morning! I'm done for, and it's your fault, Saint!"

The bickering of the two beauties didn't draw a crowd. Last night's events left most people unconscious until nearly noon, too busy to visit the church.

But it did attract an uninvited guest.

"Hello! I'm Samuel, a regular here. My friends, devout believers, call me Sam. I overheard you don't have a place to stay?"

"Oh! Are you offering to take me in?"

Reines's face lit up with a delighted smile, her big, innocent eyes curving like crescent moons, utterly charming.

"Yep! I often help homeless girls. Come to my place—it's pretty big. Play, sleep, and if you need special services, I'm game to provide them myself!"

"Special services? Even for me?"

Reines poked her cheek, feigning innocence.

"As long as the guest is a cute girl, anything goes!"

Samuel's words teetered the story on the edge of censorship.

"Eh..."

Just as Reines was about to push it further, sealing the book's fate, Jeanne d'Arc intervened.

"Reines, careful! He's a Master!!!"

Jeanne pulled Reines behind her, eyeing Samuel warily.

His hand blatantly displayed a crimson Command Spell.

"Oh, this? Just a tattoo!"

Samuel waved, and the Command Spell vanished.

Jeanne's expression grew graver. She tensed, her mana flickering, ready to transform.

She was certain that was a Command Spell, and its disappearance wasn't a trick. Could this man manipulate the Holy Grail system?

"Relax..."

Samuel vanished, reappearing behind Jeanne, leaning close, his breath grazing her neck.

"Your actions won't change anything."

Jeanne's skin prickled, a chilling dread washing over her despite lacking physical hair as a Heroic Spirit.

She dodged forward instinctively, donning her armor and raising her banner protectively, reaching for Reines...

Her eyes widened. Reines was in Samuel's arms.

He cradled her like a chair, lifting her effortlessly.

Reines, unconcerned he might be an enemy, swung her smooth legs casually.

"Girl... not scared of me?"

Samuel asked with interest.

"Why would I be? Are you gonna eat me, onii-san?"

The golden-haired girl tilted her face, her smile seemingly innocent.

"...Heh, you're quite interesting! Want to sell your Jeanne-nee to me? I'll show you something fun."

Samuel's voice was like a devil's temptation.

This girl was far more intriguing than he'd expected!

"Sure!"

She agreed without hesitation, showing no attachment to Jeanne or suspicion of Samuel's motives.

"Not afraid I'll trick you?"

"Life's a gamble. You bet and roll the dice."

Reines's face beamed with delight. A born mage, she chased pleasure from birth—perhaps due to her magical lineage or a twisted nature. She had the makings of a true powerhouse.

Like Aiwass meeting Aleister, Samuel sensed someone worth investing in—worthy of recommendations and votes.

"Nice!"

Samuel grinned. Meeting someone this fascinating, he didn't mind... nurturing her a bit.

"Reines... you..."

As Jeanne, still wary, tried to warn her, Reines cut in.

"Jeanne, by my Command Spell, obey my orders!"

A crimson Command Spell flared on Samuel's hand, glowing brilliantly.

"No use..."

Jeanne instinctively thought. Command Spells couldn't enforce such vague orders, and as Ruler, she was immune.

But...

"Hm?"

An invisible force, like silken threads, bound her bones.

For a moment, she felt like a marionette.

"An illusion?"

As she wondered...

"Come to me!"

Samuel opened his left arm, gesturing.

"Like hell I will."

Jeanne's thoughts weren't so crude, but close.

Yet her body moved on its own.

Before she realized, she was pressed against Samuel's chest.

Soft.

Compared to Saber, who shared her face, Jeanne's figure was perfection, rivaling Tiamat's touch.

"Heh heh heh..."

Reines grinned, her hands landing on Jeanne's breasts relishing the sensation.

"Hey, Reines! What are you doing?"

Jeanne snapped, embarrassed.

"Tch, tch, tch... Our saint's throwing herself at a man so shamelessly, what's there to say?"

Reines's mocking delight rang clear.

Humanity's greatest joy is others' suffering, and Reines reveled in it.

If possible, on the day Samuel died, she might feel regret.

Not for his death, but for not killing him herself.

Regret for missing his pained expression.

"Alright... time to take my cute little actress to see something fun!"

"Is it a big goldfish?"

"If you like, I'll show you one later!"

"Really?"

"Really!"
