Chapter 454 - The Arrival of Atsuomi

The Advanced Nurturing Principal's Office.

Atsuomi appeared to be sitting in Narumori's luxurious chair, tapping his fingers upon the desk.

Meanwhile, Narumori, as the owner of the room, stood beside him instead, without a single complaint.

In any case, Atsuomi was his teacher. Before the teacher sat down or granted permission, a student must not be impudent enough to just sit down.

Even though his teacher had made many mistakes, Narumori still held respect for him. It was the most basic form of politeness.

Atsuomi continued to stare like that without shifting his gaze.

Narumori mistakenly thought that his action of secretly hiding the man's son had been discovered. Beads of cold sweat began to flood his forehead.

Atsuomi did not speak; he just kept staring straight at him.

In truth, the action of hiding Ayanokouji was completely unknown to Atsuomi. The man's purpose in coming to this school was only one.

Namely, to hijack the talent of others.

That was exactly right; he had come to recruit people.

Currently, inside his White Room, there were no more assets left that could be used.

As the strongest specimen of the White Room, Ayanokouji had successfully escaped. Coupled with the disappearance of Yagami, who was the strongest figure of the fifth generation, Atsuomi had truly run out of talented people he could utilize. Meanwhile, in this school, there were plenty of geniuses, especially Ryunosuke. He wanted to try whether he could hijack the man to work under his command.

Atsuomi finally spoke up.

"Can I meet the child named Akasaka Ryunosuke?"

Narumori instantly flinched and almost knelt weakly on the floor. He thought his teacher had truly sniffed out the fact that he was hiding his son, because the main mastermind behind all these affairs was Ryunosuke.

Narumori faced a dilemma for a moment, but in the end, he chose not to comply with the order immediately. Because Ryunosuke held a promise to save his daughter, for the first time in his life, he dared to oppose his own teacher.

Seeing Narumori not immediately moving to carry it out, Atsuomi's brows instantly furrowed deeply. "Are you even unwilling to listen to my words anymore? Do you still consider me your teacher?"

Narumori remained silent and did not answer.

Atsuomi finally realized one clear fact.

It seemed he could no longer carelessly command this student of his.

Having no other choice, Atsuomi was forced to lower his ego. In any case, the figure holding real power and authority in this school was Narumori.

"Narumori, I only want to meet that child to see if he can be used by me. Not long ago, my White Room experienced a slight problem. My son escaped and until now has not been found."

Hearing that explanation, Narumori instantly understood right away that his teacher did not yet know that his son was actually hiding in this school. He consequently became much calmer. If the goal was only to meet Ryunosuke, then it would not be a problem.

Narumori let out a sigh of relief. "I understand, Sensei."

He then went to call the person in question.

When Ryunosuke arrived at the principal's office, his face appeared thoroughly filled with confusion. Furthermore, when he saw Atsuomi present there, he became increasingly bewildered.

Just like Narumori's initial reaction earlier, he thought his deed of hiding Ayanokouji had been exposed. In that very instant, beads of sweat as large as corn kernels began to pour heavily from his forehead.

It had to be said that the relationship between Ryunosuke and Narumori truly deserved to be called future son-in-law and father-in-law; even their reactions when facing a problem were exactly identical. This caused Atsuomi, who was sitting beside them, to begin feeling astonished.

(Am I really that terrifying?)

(Why is it that whenever anyone sees me, their reaction is always like a frightened mouse seeing a cat?)

Atsuomi had absolutely no idea that the two of them reacted that way because they harbored a hidden sense of guilt. In any case, the action of secretly hiding another person's son was indeed a bit too much if it were to be discovered.

Atsuomi did not want to waste any more time and went straight to the heart of the matter.

"Akasaka Ryunosuke, right? I highly admire your capabilities. After you graduate later, work under my command."

Ryunosuke once again gaped in confusion, before he finally realized the actual situation. (It turns out this bastard doesn't know yet...)

He instantly let out a sigh of relief after knowing the action of hiding Ayanokouji had not been exposed. He consequently declined the offer very honestly.

"I'm sorry, I have no plans to work under your command after graduating later. Currently, I am already a novel writer, and plan to continue pursuing this profession after graduation."

Atsuomi's brows knitted even deeper.

"Are you sure?"

"Being a novel writer does not have a bright future. It is better to work under my command; I can even give you the opportunity to enter the world of politics."

Ryunosuke rolled his eyes lazily in his heart. Who exactly couldn't make sweet, empty promises like that? Besides, he was not interested in power at all.

Ryunosuke declined firmly once more.

"I am very sorry, Uncle Atsuomi. I am not interested in power struggles; I only want to be a novel writer and live an ordinary life."

Atsuomi very decisively gave up right away and did not force him any further. In any case, he only intended to try his luck. He then turned toward Narumori to put forward his second condition.

"Call Amasawa here. I want to bring her back with me to the White Room."

Since Ayanokouji and Yagami, who were under his command, had already disappeared, he was forced to lower his standards and use Ichika as a ready-made replacement tool.

Narumori and Ryunosuke exchanged glances. Narumori then nodded toward Atsuomi and immediately went to carry out the order.

Inside the classroom, Ichika was startled by the sound of the school broadcast asking her to come to the principal's office immediately.

Ichika felt this was a bit strange, but she still rose from her chair obediently to prepare to go there.

Yagami felt somewhat worried and intended to accompany her to go. But at the same time, he received a message from Ryunosuke that read: [Ayanokouji Atsuomi has come to this school. Yagami, don't you ever dare approach here because the risk of getting caught is extremely high.]

Even though currently Yagami was already wearing an iron mask, the risk of being recognized still existed nonetheless.

Ryunosuke provided this warning for the sake of preventing the man's identity from being exposed. But beyond expectations, Yagami instantly panicked half to death. He immediately pulled the arm of Ichika, who was about to step out of the classroom, and forbade her from going!

Ichika tilted her head cutely. "What's wrong with you, Yagami?"

Yagami's breathing began to grow ragged and irregular. He tried hard to calm himself down first, before finally whispering the actual reality.

"Ayanokouji Atsuomi has come..."

Just by hearing that single name of the man, the hairs on Ichika's neck instantly stood on end. It could be imagined how terrified the two of them were toward that man.

Ichika began to show resistance and no longer wanted to go there.

She knew very well that if she went there, there would certainly be no good end for her. Most likely, she would be forced to leave this school.

Yagami hurriedly pulled out his phone to send a message to Ryunosuke, who had just contacted him earlier. He desperately hoped the man would be willing to help the two of them, because they truly could not bear it any longer if they had to face Atsuomi.

After struggling so hard to be able to get out of the White Room and leave that cruel place for the sake of obtaining a brief freedom, they would rather die than be dragged back there.

Ichika likewise had absolutely no desire to return to the White Room. In the past, because there was Yagami as a comrade accompanying her, her mentality could still endure and did not break down. But now, inside the White Room, there was nothing left. If she were forced to return there now, she would certainly end up going crazy like Yuki from the fourth generation.

Yuki, who held the third rank in her generation in the past, ended up going crazy and had to rely on tranquilizing medications because she was unable to catch up with the two people ahead of her.

From that, it could be imagined how terrifying the situation inside the White Room was.

Atsuomi never regarded them as humans at all, but rather only viewed them as disposable tools that could be thrown away anytime after they were no longer useful.
