Chapter 175 - Uesugi Raiha

Seeing that lunchtime had arrived, Itsuki without hesitation immediately pulled her four sisters and ran toward the cafeteria.

Nakano Yotsuba actually wanted to stay longer because she wanted to chat with Ryunosuke, but alas she was forced to come along by her younger sister, so the opportunity to chat was lost.

Yotsuba sighed, she could only find another way to get acquainted later.

She felt Ryunosuke no longer remembered her...

Ryunosuke also prepared to get up and head to the cafeteria to eat, not forgetting to invite his loyal friend (and victim of his misfortune), Ayanokouji Kiyotaka.

Megumi didn't go with them because she had to accompany Suzune.

Who else if not because Suzune was her only best friend and close companion? She couldn't leave her alone.

So, Megumi hugged Suzune's arm like close friends and went to the cafeteria together.

Although Suzune wanted to refuse, she couldn't resist Megumi's kindness. Since she was already completely controlled, she finally gave up and accompanied her to eat.

On the other side of the cafeteria.

Ryunosuke met again with someone he knew, none other than Uesugi Futaro.

That young man was also queuing at the free food counter. Both their goals were the same: wanting to eat free food at the school cafeteria.

Futaro looked slightly surprised seeing him. "Why are you also at this school?"

Ryunosuke's eyebrow furrowed deeper, he pointed at himself in confusion. "You know me?"

Futaro nodded calmly. "Of course I know you. Why? Don't you remember me?"

Futaro looked at him strangely, then suddenly remembered something. "That's right, when I was little I dyed my hair."

Futaro ruffled his own hair and spoke in a somewhat resigned tone. "When I was little my hair was blonde, do you have any impression of that? Raiha has been thinking about you all these years."

Raiha, full name Uesugi Raiha, was Futaro's younger sister.

This time Ryunosuke was truly confused. He didn't remember ever knowing this person. More precisely, even if he knew him, it was from memories of his previous life while watching anime. But this person's attitude clearly showed they had known each other since childhood.

What actually happened?

Ryunosuke's brain felt like tangled threads. Since he awakened memories of his previous life, memories about his current reality became slightly blurred. He couldn't remember past events clearly.

However, he vaguely remembered, it seemed he had made a promise with a little blonde girl?

But who exactly, he couldn't remember. He only remembered making a pinky promise with that crybaby little blonde girl for something very important.

Ryunosuke shook his head which felt somewhat dizzy, he didn't want to think about it anymore. Forgotten things must not be important...

He decided to stop thinking and directly said to Futaro: "Sorry, I don't remember."

Futaro looked at him in front of him while scratching his head in confusion. "That doesn't make sense, do you really not remember anything?"

Ryunosuke shook his head, stating he had completely forgotten, while looking for a reasonable excuse. "That was how many years ago? How could I possibly remember."

"That's true," Futaro immediately accepted that explanation. He shrugged resignedly and said in a slightly regretful tone. "Then, do you still remember the little pink-haired girl who played with us when we were kids?"

"Don't tell me you forgot her too? Back then you promised her you'd marry her when you grew up."

Futaro said in a teasing tone. He wanted to see the reaction from his old friend he hadn't seen in a long time.

Ryunosuke's expression became very mixed. As far as he remembered, the girl who played with Futaro when they were kids was Yotsuba, right?

(I have a promise with Yotsuba? No way, right?)

Ryunosuke suspected whether this person was lying to him, but seeing Futaro's sincere face, it seemed he wasn't joking.

He felt very innocent... he truly didn't remember such a thing ever happening.

But he was forced to pretend to forget—although in reality he truly did forget... Ryunosuke said in a regretful tone to Futaro. "Sorry, I really don't remember."

However, to his surprise, Futaro wasn't angry, but instead looked very happy and asked him again. "Then, do you still remember your promise with Raiha?!"

Seeing Futaro's enthusiasm, Ryunosuke felt something was off, so he played dumb and asked back. "Who's Raiha?"

Of course Ryunosuke knew that Raiha was Futaro's sister, but since the other party hadn't said it yet, he was forced to pretend not to know.

Seeing he truly didn't remember his sister, Futaro became very enthusiastic. He placed both hands on Ryunosuke's shoulders, laughing heartily while patting his friend's arm.

"Hahaha, good that you don't remember! Better never remember for your whole life!"

"If you dare to remember, I'll beat you until you lose your memory again!!!"

Futaro instantly transformed to look fierce.

Ryunosuke: "😐"

(Tch, what sin did I commit when I was little? It seems even with Raiha I have an unclear relationship.)

Better he just keep playing dumb. After all, he really didn't remember, so just consider everything starting from scratch again.

The two ended their conversation and prepared to get food. By coincidence, they both arrived at the free food counter at the same time—both truly intended to eat free food at the cafeteria.

Futaro's eyebrow raised, as if not surprised by his friend's action. "You're still the same as before, so stingy."

Ryunosuke answered with a flat face. "What right do you have to say that about me?"
