The High Priest stood near the grand archway leading out of the temple, his golden-trimmed robes stirring in the afternoon breeze. He still looked mildly bewildered and concerned, but he kept his usual calm, polite expression as the three of them approached.
"Lord Cherion," the High Priest greeted, inclining his head with quiet courtesy. "I am most relieved to see that you have returned to us unharmed. When I learned that you had gone missing within the temple and that no one could determine where you had gone, I confess I was quite concerned."
He offered Cherion a gentle smile. "Still, I hope your time here has not left you with an unfavorable impression of our temple. Should you ever find yourself in need of a quiet place for prayer, reflection, or simply a moment away from the affairs of the court, you need only return. You shall always be received with courtesy, and you will always be welcome beneath this roof."
