Chapter 516 - System Pursuit

Noa, who had nothing to do, patrolled around the Great Tree Village.

After taking a slow walk through the wide streets of Great Tree Village, Noa gradually realized that there was truly very little that required his immediate attention. The systems were stable, the people were occupied, and even the usual unexpected incidents had quieted down. With responsibilities temporarily lightened, his thoughts began to drift elsewhere—toward the countless other worlds connected to him.

It was rare for him to have such uninterrupted free time. Normally, something or someone always demanded his attention, whether it was managing resources, coordinating with companions, or dealing with sudden threats. Now, however, a rare window had opened. Instead of letting it go to waste, Noa considered making use of it in a more productive—or perhaps adventurous—way.

"Why not visit another world?" he murmured to himself.

The Apocalypse World and the Demon Slayer World were the first to be dismissed from his list.

In his view, neither held much value at the moment. The Apocalypse World had already been thoroughly explored, and whatever gains could be extracted had long since been obtained. As for the Demon Slayer World, while he had never personally visited it, he understood enough to judge its current usefulness.

That said, Noa didn't completely disregard it. The uncertainty of potential tasks and rewards still lingered in his mind. There was always the possibility that something worthwhile could be discovered. However, the timeline there was still early, and rushing in now would likely yield little benefit. He preferred to wait—especially until Kanae was properly prepared. When the time came, he would accompany her and handle everything in one go.

With that settled, he shifted his attention to the remaining worlds, examining them one by one according to their connection sequence.

The world of Danmachi appeared to be unusually calm.

Noa found that somewhat surprising. The sudden rise of the Hestia Familia should have caused ripples, if not outright chaos. Yet, contrary to expectations, the so-called dark factions had not surfaced at all. It was as if the balance of power had quietly stabilized instead of collapsing into disorder. Whether this was a temporary calm or the result of deeper changes, Noa decided it wasn't worth investigating right now.

Next came the Harry Potter world.

He paused briefly before shaking his head.

"Forget it," he muttered.

He had no interest in involving himself with a group of children learning magic or dealing with the bureaucratic nonsense of the Ministry of Magic. The idea of endless debates, rigid rules, and pointless authority figures was more exhausting than appealing. Going there would only frustrate him, and he had no desire to make things difficult for himself.

The Shokugeki World and the SAO World followed.

Both were essentially magic-free environments, relying instead on specialized skills and technology. While they offered opportunities for leisure—fine dining, entertainment, and perhaps some cultural exploration—their practical value was limited.

In the Shokugeki World, there were talented chefs and beautifully crafted dishes. In the SAO World, there were advanced gaming systems and technological developments. However, none of these were things Noa urgently needed. His current resources already exceeded what those worlds could offer.

"They're good for a visit, not for investment," he concluded.

The world of beheading girls, however, caught his attention.

There, the Cangtian Cult had been steadily developing. If things had progressed as expected, it was possible that the power of faith had begun to take shape. That alone made it worth checking. Faith-based power systems were unpredictable but potentially powerful, and Noa had always kept a close eye on their growth.

Still, after a moment of consideration, he let out a quiet breath.

"Sure enough, let's go to Konosuba World."

The moment the thought surfaced, a hint of anticipation flickered in his eyes.

The job transfer system in that world was simply too valuable to ignore. The last time he had considered pursuing it, circumstances had prevented him from doing so. Back then, timing had been an issue, and he had no choice but to set the plan aside.

Now, however, things were different.

With time on his side and fewer distractions, it was the perfect opportunity to act. At the very least, he needed to secure the redemption rights to the job transfer system. Leaving such an important resource unattended for too long could lead to complications. Unexpected variables, interference from others, or sudden changes in the system itself—any of these could jeopardize his plans.

Noa had never been one to hesitate once he made a decision.

Acting immediately, he informed Riveria of his intentions, ensuring that someone capable was aware of his temporary absence. With that done, he headed straight for the dimensional gate.

Standing before the massive structure, he extended his hand and activated the connection to Konosuba's world. The space before him distorted, forming a swirling passage that pulsed with energy.

Without a second thought, he stepped inside.

He chose to go alone for a simple reason: everyone else was busy.

Even Esdeath, who had once been the most idle among them, had recently found something to occupy her time. Boredom had driven her to chase after a rumor involving a super dangerous species. Excited by the challenge, she had taken Lia and several others along with her in search of it.

So far, however, no news had come back.

Whether they had succeeded or were still searching remained unknown.

Noa wasn't particularly concerned.

At this point, super dangerous materials no longer held the same importance they once did. With the development of magic creation, their necessity had sharply declined. What used to be rare and valuable had become something that could be replicated or substituted.

At best, such materials were now a bonus—useful, but not essential.

The only reason they still attracted attention was their strength.

Powerful creatures could serve as formidable opponents, functioning like bosses that offered significant rewards upon defeat. For someone like Noa , that alone made them worth acknowledging.

Still, compared to the opportunity waiting in Konosuba's World, even that seemed secondary.

With his goal clear and his path chosen, Noa moved forward without hesitation, disappearing into the dimensional passage as he set out to claim what he had long postponed.
