When Sherry saw the peerless woman on the screen, pure joy immediately erupted in her sapphire blue eyes.

"Sister Ada!"

She almost cried out as she trotted toward the entryway.

Hearing the sound, Claire stopped her soothing exercises and stood up curiously, wiping the light sweat from her temples with a towel.

Without a moment's hesitation, Sherry pulled the door open.

"Sister Ada, what are you doing here? Are you here for Sister Claire?" The girl's voice was like a bird's song in the morning, filled with warmth and affection.

Outside the door, Ada Wong took off her large sunglasses, revealing a pair of charming eyes.

Her fiery red qipao, tailored like a second skin, outlined breathtaking curves in the hallway's sunlight, making her look like a ball of burning flame.

Hearing Sherry's sweet "Sister," a genuine smile rarely seen touched the corners of Ada's lips, which usually held a hint of detachment.

"Thank you, little beauty." She reached out with a hand clad in a black silk glove and gently pinched Sherry's cheek; it felt cool and smooth. "However, I came here specifically for you this time."

"Me?" Sherry blinked, her long eyelashes fluttering in surprise.

At that moment, Claire walked over. Her gaze lingered on Ada for a second before falling on Sherry's face.

"Looking for Sherry? Is it about the research?" Claire's voice was gentle but carried a hint of wariness. "Do you need me to step away?"

Ada stepped into the room and closed the door behind her with an elegant motion.

"No need." She shook her head, her gaze scanning the living room before finally landing on the mountain of academic works next to the sofa, her eyes showing a hint of approval.

"Some restless fellows have been setting their sights on you two again lately." Ada's tone was flat, as if she were talking about something trivial.

However, to her surprise, neither Claire nor Sherry showed any signs of tension or fear.

On the contrary, a hint of... eager excitement even appeared on Sherry's delicate little face.

"Is it the same people they sent last time?" Sherry's eyes sparkled.

"Are they coming again?"

Claire, on the other hand, massaged her forehead helplessly, though a faint smile played on her lips.

She remembered that night not long ago, how the so-called "elites" sent by Simmons were turned into a car wreck with their bare hands by her and Sherry in a near-crushing manner.

The scene wasn't so much a fight as it was a one-sided car-dismantling performance.

The two of them hadn't even warmed up.

Ada couldn't help but chuckle at their reactions.

She naturally knew the outcome of that incident—how much face Simmons had lost within the "Family." He was now practically a laughingstock in high-level circles.

"Even though you're strong," Ada smiled as she walked over to the sofa and sat down, her legs elegantly crossed, the hem of her fiery red qipao sliding open in a stunning curve.

"But power and technique are two different things. Knowing how to use force is completely different from knowing how to cause maximum destruction with minimum effort. I imagine you don't want to turn every scene into a demolition site, do you?"

Her gaze turned to Sherry with a sense of scrutiny and assessment.

"So, I've come this time specifically to teach Sherry."

"As for you..." Ada glanced at Claire with interest.

"It's better for an expectant mother to stick to gentle exercises. You should stay away from all the fighting for now."

Claire's cheeks flushed slightly, but she immediately lifted her chin, a hint of cunning flashing in her sapphire eyes.

She walked gracefully to the sofa opposite Ada, poured herself a glass of lemon water, and then spoke unhurriedly.

"Speaking of which, Leon seems quite free lately. Should I give him a call and let him know you're here?"

Ada's movement to lift her glass and take a drink paused for a fraction of a second.

It was a stiffness almost imperceptible to the naked eye.

The air seemed to turn subtle in that instant.

She didn't answer, merely biting the rim of the glass instinctively with her lips coated in bright red lipstick.

This action caused an imperceptible crack to appear in the invulnerable, perfect disguise she wore.

Sherry's bright eyes darted between Claire and Ada. Her girlish intuition instantly caught the unusual spark of electricity in the air.

Understanding immediately, she hugged a pillow and leaned in with an innocent smile.

"Sister Claire, speaking of which, Brother Leon really hasn't come over for dinner in a long time. Why don't we ask if he's free tonight and all have dinner together?"

Claire instantly understood Sherry's assist. Suppressing her laughter, she nodded solemnly.

"Of course. But he has to bring his own ingredients and cook it himself."

The subtle expression on Ada's face finally broke, and she raised an eyebrow in surprise.

"Leon can cook?"

In her memory, that man's life skills were practically zero, besides shooting, fighting, and telling bad jokes.

"Of course!" Sherry immediately chimed in, her tone carrying a bit of pride.

"While it's not as good as what Brother Lin Yuan makes, it's still very impressive! Definitely not at the level of you agents who only know how to mix nutritional supplements!"

Ada was amused by her words, and the ripple in her heart dissipated.

"I thought that during the time he looked after you, he fed you fast-food pizza every day," she said jokingly, recalling the time when Noah and Claire went to Paris for a mission and Leon was temporarily entrusted with the task of being a "nanny."

"No way!" Sherry huffed proudly, then winked at Ada before jumping off the sofa and picking up her phone.

"I'll call him right now!"

After saying that, she skipped over to the balcony and dialed the familiar number... inside an office filled with the smell of coffee.

Leon S. Kennedy was slumped over his desk with a look of utter despair, battling a report on "Ecology and Weakness Analysis of New B.O.W.s."

His desk was piled high with documents, and a cup of cold coffee sat beside them.

For an ace agent accustomed to weaving through a hail of bullets, writing reports was more painful than taking on ten Tyrants single-handedly.

Just as he was dozing off, his private phone on the desk suddenly vibrated.

He glanced weakly at the screen, but the moment he saw the name "Sherry," it was as if he had been injected with a potent dose of adrenaline.

He snapped upright, his previously listless appearance vanishing without a trace as he swiped to answer as fast as possible.

From the other end of the line came the girl's crisp and lively voice.

Leon listened intently, his expression shifting from initial surprise to an indescribable complexity—a mix of happiness and conflict.

A few minutes later, he hung up the phone.

Without a moment's hesitation.

With lightning speed, Leon hit "Ctrl+S" to save the report he had barely started, then snapped his laptop shut with a loud "pop."

He grabbed his jacket from the back of his chair, slipping it on as he strode out of the office with long steps.

On his face was a brilliant smile he couldn't hide, looking as if he were off to an awards ceremony.

Passing colleagues all wore strange expressions at his excited appearance; usually, he looked half-dead at work, so why was he so thrilled today... Inside the luxurious reception hall of the Spencer.

The atmosphere was oppressive to the extreme.

Noah, Phoenix Bell, and Bruce were gathered around a map displayed on a tactical tablet, re-confirming their route.

The ghostly blue light illuminated their three solemn faces.

On the map, a red dot was located in an area on the lowest level of the ship's hull.

That was their ultimate objective—the Missile launch control console.

"According to the intel, the ship's structure is complex, with ventilation ducts reaching everywhere. But there are only three main routes." Phoenix Bell's finger traced across the holographic map.

"Our current position is at the entry of the upper deck in Sector A. To reach the lower control console in Sector E, we must pass through the central main hall and the passenger area."

"In other words, we have to cross the most densely populated areas of the entire ship." Bruce's voice was very low; he had fully entered combat mode.

"This is going to be a tough fight."

Noah put away the map. The light extinguished, and the surroundings were once again swallowed by darkness and silence.

That heart-palpitating dragging sound still came from the dark depths of the corridor ahead, unhurried and filled with a certain eerie rhythm.

He felt it was necessary to remind these two "rookies" once more.

"I still need to remind you," Noah said softly.

"What we are about to face are likely the most primitive t-virus infected. They feel no pain, never tire, and their only directive is to attack and devour living things."

"Remember, the head is their only weakness. Whenever conditions allow, you must perform a double-tap to ensure the target is completely incapacitated. We have no time to waste tangling repeatedly with the same corpse."

His gaze swept over the two of them.

"If forced into close-quarters combat, avoid getting injured at all costs. Even the slightest scratch could lead to irreversible consequences."

Both Phoenix Bell and Bruce nodded with extreme solemnity.
