"Boom—!!!"
The entire morgue trembled under the terrifying immense force.
On the ceiling, the heavy metal structure let out a distorted, mournful groan, unable to bear the strain.
Countless cracks, like black lightning, spread wildly above their heads.
The next second, accompanied by a deafening crash of metal breaking, a huge black shadow tore through the ceiling and smashed down!
"Bang—!"
The hard floor of the morgue instantly caved in, forming a huge crater, with spiderweb-like cracks spreading wildly in all directions.
It was none other than the giant monster they had encountered in the church, severely wounded by Noah's punch and then buried by the collapsing wall!
It was still alive!
But at this moment, it was more wretched than ever before.
Half of its body was smashed into a bloody mess, large patches of its greenish-black skin peeled off, revealing broken bones and writhing internal organs underneath.
One of its tentacles was snapped off, hanging limply at its side.
Its red eyes, which had once burned with fury, now only held endless pain and the fear of death.
It struggled, trying to climb out of the crater on the ground, but each attempt only futilely brought up more rubble and blood.
Its heavy panting, like a dilapidated bellows, spewed dark green blood from its deep, bone-visible wounds with every heave.
"Be careful!"
Leon S. Kennedy and Krauser instinctively raised their guns and retreated, shielding Manuela behind them, their muzzles firmly aimed at the dying beast that had fallen from the sky.
However, Noah did not retreat.
Reflected in his pupils was the familiar, massive wound on the monster's abdomen, a wound he had personally inflicted.
Above the old wound was a penetrating injury caused by the collapsing wall. Now, it was like a bloody, fleshy volcano, spewing foul tissue fluid with every breath.
Just as the monster struggled, locking its venomous eyes on Noah once again.
Noah's center of gravity suddenly sank, and the ground beneath his feet shattered in response.
The next moment, he shot straight up like a cannonball freed from gravity, drawing a sharp, straight line in the air.
His target was that bloody, fleshy wound!
Time slowed down infinitely at this moment.
Krauser's eyes twitched violently. He saw that extraordinary scene again, but this time, he could more clearly feel the pure, ultimate destructive power contained within it.
Noah's body twisted in mid-air, the sleeve of his right arm stretched almost to bursting by his bulging muscles.
All his strength, from his feet to his waist and abdomen, then to his back, finally converged at one point, like a hundred rivers flowing into the sea, all condensed onto his clenched fist.
"Thump—!!!"
A thud, more muffled and terrifying than any before, exploded in the morgue.
It wasn't the sound of flesh colliding, but more like a battering ram smashing heavily against a giant cowhide drum filled with liquid.
Noah's fist completely plunged into that festering wound!
The monster's body suddenly stiffened.
Its huge eyeballs instantly became bloodshot; the pain didn't even have time to escape its throat.
The next second, terrifying kinetic energy erupted completely within its body.
"Pfft—!!!"
Large gushes of dark green blood, mixed with fragments of internal organs and unknown tissue fluid, erupted from the wound in a fan shape like a bursting dam, staining the wall and freezer behind it with a shocking filth.
"Aow...woo..."
A discordant wail, completely stifled deep in its throat.
The monster's massive body, as if all its bones and strength had been drawn out, slumped heavily, its enormous head hitting the ground with a dull thud.
Its massive body twitched violently a few times, its limbs splayed weakly, and the light in its crimson eyes dimmed at a visible speed, finally turning into a desolate, lifeless grey.
Meanwhile, behind the huge monitor, in a control room surrounded by countless wires and instruments.
Javier watched impassively through the screen.
When he saw Hilda being punched to death by the Eastern man in such a brutal and unreasonable manner, the first hint of emotion finally appeared on his face.
It wasn't fear, nor was it anger.
It was a nearly insane, morbid excitement.
"So that's it... so that's it..." he murmured, his eyes gleaming with the light of having grasped the ultimate truth, "Simple strength cannot transcend limits... it still requires... Fusion..."
He knew he was no match for the three people at the door.
An incredibly mad, yet incredibly clear thought, struck his brain, thoroughly twisted by desire and obsession, like lightning.
He suddenly stood up, his eyes burning with resolute fire.
He turned and rushed out of the control room, his destination precisely the large greenhouse in the courtyard.
He stumbled through the warehouse, past the fallen zombies, and finally crashed into that hot, humid, plant-filled world, thick with a strange sweet fragrance.
He arrived before the enormous, bizarre plant.
From his pocket, he took out a specially made metal syringe, inside which a liquid flowed slowly as if alive.
Without hesitation, he plunged the cold needle deeply into his forearm.
Then he forcefully pushed the plunger, injecting every last drop of the strange liquid into his bloodstream.
A burning, stinging sensation instantly spread from his arm throughout his entire body.
He could feel his blood boiling, his cells screaming, as if countless ants were gnawing at his bone marrow.
But he made no sound, instead, a nearly deranged, blissful expression appeared on his face.
Then, he picked up a sharp scalpel from the nearby tool bench and, without the slightest hesitation, slashed deeply across the wrist of his other hand!
"Splat!"
Dark red blood, mixed with the pale golden serum, gushed out.
He extended his bleeding wrist, generously sprinkling his blood onto the twisted, fleshy main stem of the giant plant.
"Come... my child..."
"Eat me..."
"Let us... become one!"
His blood seemed to be the key to activating a forbidden switch.
The giant plant, upon contact with his blood, suddenly trembled violently!
The pulsating veins on its main stem instantly accelerated a hundredfold, and the entire plant emitted a deep, thumping sound, similar to a heartbeat.
The previously tightly closed, enormous flower bud began to slowly unfurl, layer by layer.
Within the bud, there were no delicate stamens.
Instead, there were rings upon rings of teeth as dense and sharp as a shark's, and a bottomless esophagus filled with viscous, bloody flesh!
As the flower bud fully opened, an extremely pungent, foul odor erupted.
"Whoosh—!"
The enormous flower, like a awakened giant python, suddenly lunged forward, opening its blood-filled maw lined with sharp teeth, and in one gulp, swallowed Javier whole, who was standing in place!
The sound of flesh tearing and bones crushing was clearly audible in the greenhouse.
But Javier, being devoured, showed no sign of pain on his face.
He spread his arms, closed his eyes, and on his face was complete liberation, the ultimate enjoyment of Ascension to godhood... In the morgue.
The moment the monster completely died, the surrounding air suddenly became incredibly oppressive.
A new, even more terrifying sense of crisis enveloped everyone.
"Rumble—!!!"
Another loud bang.
This time, it wasn't from directly above, but from another corner of the ceiling.
A massive tentacle, entwined with countless dark green vines and Fresh red flesh and blood, suddenly smashed through the ceiling, bringing down rubble and dust, and heavily slammed into the room!
This tentacle was thicker and more hideous than any on the dead monster before.
The vines on its surface twisted wildly like living venomous snakes, and exposed between the vines were violently pulsating, living muscle tissues.
The moment this tentacle appeared, it displayed its clear purpose.
It lashed out like lightning, ignoring Noah and the others nearby, directly coiling tightly around the monster's corpse on the ground.
"Creak... creak..."
Amidst the teeth-grinding sound of bones shattering, the massive monster's corpse was easily crushed into a twisted shape by the tentacle.
Immediately after, the tentacle suddenly retracted upwards, dragging the shapeless mass of flesh into the hole in the ceiling and disappearing.
"What is that thing?!" Krauser roared in horror.
His answer was an even more violent tremor throughout the entire base.
On the walls, huge cracks ripped open like canyons.
Large chunks of the ceiling peeled off and fell.
The entire space was falling apart.
"Quick, go!" Noah grabbed the still-stunned Manuela, his gaze quickly locking onto a faintly glowing red sign in the corner, half-hidden in the dust, "This place is going to collapse!"
The sign depicted a running figure, with the clear word "EXIT" next to it.
It was the base's own emergency escape route!
The four no longer hesitated for a moment, rushing madly in that direction.
Leon S. Kennedy and Krauser flanked Noah and Manuela, protecting them as they navigated between falling debris and collapsing ground.
They crashed through the thin iron door and rushed into a narrow, sloping metal passage.
Behind them was the immense roar of the entire morgue, and indeed the entire underground facility, completely collapsing.
They scrambled and crawled through the passage, struggling with all their might to escape up the incline.
Finally, a heavy gate leading to the outside appeared at the end of the passage.
Krauser used all his strength to kick open the jammed lock.
"Whoosh—"
Moist, earthy air instantly rushed in.
They had escaped Hell.
This was an open area outside the base, seemingly a giant helipad for transport, with a solid concrete surface.
Under the gloomy sky, cold raindrops began to patter down.
The four leaned on their knees, panting heavily, not yet fully recovered from the shock of their narrow escape.
"Boom—!!!"
A deafening roar, enough to tear eardrums, came from the direction they had just fled.
They whirled around.
They saw the distant mountain, along with Javier's entire base complex, being forcibly pushed open and torn apart by a terrifying force from below!
Dirt, rocks, and metal fragments were flung hundreds of meters into the sky.
Immediately after, a creature unimaginably massive slowly rose from the ruins.
It was a living, moving Carnivorous Plant.
Its roots had transformed into countless thick, python-like tentacles, supporting its massive body as it moved across the ground; each peristalsis made the earth tremble.
Its main stem was an enlarged version of the bizarre plant in Javier's manor, covered with twisted vines and pulsating flesh.
And at the top of that main stem, an incredibly huge "flower," made of layers of sharp teeth and flesh, was slowly opening, emitting a silent roar.
Several giant tentacles on its body were slowly stuffing the monster's remains into that enormous, tooth-filled maw, making nauseating chewing sounds.
It was feeding.
It was evolving.
Looking at the gigantic, grotesque monster before him, appearing as if from a Cthulhu myth, wantonly destroying its former Hive in the rain, Krauser's dust- and blood-stained face was filled with an indescribable shock.
His newly reshaped worldview concerning biological weapons was, at this moment, once again shattered.
He instinctively tightened his grip on his rifle, his Adam's apple bobbing with difficulty.
"Is this thing... also a BOW?"
His voice, due to extreme shock, became somewhat hoarse and ethereal.
"It's so huge!"
