The little girl stirred slightly but remained asleep, exhausted after everything she had endured the previous day.
"Be careful with her," Kade reminded them, his voice low.
"We will, Royal Alpha," Elias assured him before leading the attendant out of the room toward the adjoining bathroom, where the herbal bath had already been prepared.
Marcus, who had been standing outside, glanced after them before following at a discreet distance, making certain the little princess remained safe throughout.
Once the room had grown quiet again, Kade returned to the bedside and picked up the bowl of medicine, placing it on the bedside table before sitting beside Dakota.
"Dakota..."
He gently brushed a few loose strands of hair away from her face.
"Dakota... wake up."
She frowned and lazily swatted his hand away.
"Don't disturb me..."
"You need to drink your medicine," Kade coaxed patiently. "Otherwise, your fever won't come down, and you'll end up spending the whole day in bed."
