His thumb unconsciously traced slow circles over the fabric of her shirt before temptation quietly won. Lifting the edge just enough to reveal a small patch of warm skin, he leaned down and brushed a feather-light kiss against her stomach.
Then another.
And another.
Each one slower and more careful than the last.
Dakota's brows knitted together.
"Mmm..."
Without opening her eyes, she lazily reached down and smacked the top of his head.
"Stop..."
Her sleepy voice was barely more than a mumble.
"...always sneaking around..."
Kade immediately looked up with an expression of complete innocence, even though she couldn't see him.
"I wasn't doing anything."
"Hmph..."
She frowned, still fast asleep.
"You always... say that..."
Another weak shove landed against his forehead.
"...behave yourself..."
Kade bit back a laugh.
"Yes, Royal Luna."
