"Isn't Boruto a ninja from Uzushio Village?!"
Sasuke shot Boruto a vigilant look before turning his gaze toward him.
Boruto brushed the dust off his clothes, glanced at Naruto in the distance, and said with lingering fear:
"I never said I was a ninja from Uzushio Village. My teacher and I are travelers wandering around the world. We just accidentally ended up here."
After speaking, Boruto secretly observed Naruto from this era and couldn't help muttering inwardly.
Dad from this era is so ruthless. How did he end up becoming that workaholic later on? He even used a Shadow Clone to get through Himawari's birthday.
"You accidentally wandered in here?"
Sasuke snorted coldly.
"You'd better tell us your real identities. Naruto's strength is beyond your imagination. Even Orochimaru, one of the Legendary Sannin, isn't his match."
"Is Orochimaru really that strong?"
Boruto asked in confusion.
Sasuke looked at Boruto in surprise.
He didn't even know Orochimaru, one of the Legendary Sannin. What backwater hole had this kid crawled out of?
And with his hair color and temperament... was he really Naruto's brother?
Thinking of that possibility, Sasuke glanced at Naruto again. It wouldn't be the first time Naruto had tricked him.
Naruto sized Boruto up from head to toe and had already confirmed his identity.
If nothing unexpected had happened, this Boruto was from the original timeline.
After all, with Naruto's teaching ability, there was no way he could raise such a useless son.
The kid couldn't even defeat Sasuke at this stage. How was he supposed to survive the events of the future?
Being stared at by Naruto made Boruto extremely uncomfortable, but he had no idea how to explain his identity.
Sasuke-sensei had specifically told him to keep everything secret, but the excuse of being a traveler clearly wasn't fooling the Naruto of this era.
At that moment, Naruto stepped forward, placed a hand on Boruto's head, and said with a faint smile:
"Uzumaki Boruto. If nothing unexpected happens, I should be your father."
I'm your father...
Boruto almost cursed out loud, but after thinking about it, there didn't seem to be anything wrong with that statement.
Although his father was still young, he really was his father.
There was simply no way to argue against it.
The real question was: how had his father somehow become his father's son?
The Sasuke beside them was equally stunned.
Naruto usually didn't say things like that, but what shocked him even more was that Boruto didn't even argue back.
Not even a shred of ninja dignity.
After thinking for a while, Boruto slowly asked:
"How do you know?"
Naruto only smiled without answering.
His eyes briefly drifted toward the turtle hidden in Boruto's pocket before he chuckled and said:
"How I know isn't important. What matters is that I am your father."
"For the next few days, you'll stay with me."
As he spoke, Naruto casually snatched Karasuki from Boruto's pocket while the boy wasn't paying attention and walked away as if nothing had happened.
Boruto immediately checked his pocket.
His expression changed repeatedly.
That little turtle was the treasure that had brought him and Sasuke-sensei back to this era.
Now that it had been confiscated, how were they supposed to return to the future?
After hesitating for a moment, Boruto hurried after Naruto, with Sasuke following closely behind.
Although he still had no idea what was going on—or why Naruto suddenly seemed to have an extra son—he had finally managed to meet Naruto and wanted to ask him how to become stronger.
Not long afterward, the group arrived on the streets of Konoha, immediately attracting the attention of nearby villagers.
The moment they spotted Naruto, many villagers enthusiastically came over to greet him.
Soon, they found seats in a restaurant, and the owner immediately brought over a lavish feast that completely covered the table.
"Naruto-sama, this meal is courtesy of our restaurant. We hope you'll enjoy it."
Naruto merely glanced at the waiter.
Several banknotes flew directly into the cash register, and he gestured for the waiter to leave the private room before setting up a barrier that blocked all sound from escaping.
Seeing this, Boruto sensed that something was off.
Although the villagers in his era also treated his father warmly, their relationship felt natural.
The villagers' attitude toward this Naruto, however, looked more like one-sided flattery, creating a strange sense of discomfort.
While eating, Naruto looked at Boruto and asked:
"Do you think I'm different from the Naruto in your memories? More indifferent? Less human?"
Boruto nodded while stuffing food into his mouth.
"You're different from how I remember him. Dad is usually super busy, but you seem to have nothing to do. You can even take me shopping and out for dinner."
Naruto smiled.
"That's because I am your father, but not entirely."
"The Naruto Uzumaki you remember is a hot-blooded fool who shines like the sun."
"I'm just an ordinary person."
"I don't want to become Hokage."
"I don't want to please everyone just for the chance to become Hokage."
"And I can't easily forgive the villagers who hurt me."
"But fortunately, I seem to be stronger this way."
"It's also easier for me to protect others than it is for that other Naruto."
Boruto nodded as though he understood, though in truth he still didn't quite get it.
Sasuke, sitting beside them, was equally confused.
Based on everything he had heard, this ninja called Uzumaki Boruto really was Naruto's son.
But he had come from the future.
The very concept of time travel sounded absurd.
More importantly, Boruto seemed to know his future self very well, as if they were extremely close.
After finishing his explanation, Naruto quietly continued eating while waiting for the arrival of the other time traveler.
Within the range of his sensory abilities, Shisui was already fighting with chakra unleashed.
And the only person capable of forcing Shisui to fight seriously was the older Sasuke.
Not long afterward, Shisui appeared outside the private room, accompanied by a slightly out-of-breath middle-aged Sasuke.
During their clash, Sasuke hadn't gained much advantage.
Although the Rinnegan and Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan were powerful, Shisui had also transplanted the Cursed Seal and Hashirama cells, making him exceptionally strong.
"Mianma-sama, I've brought the ninja who infiltrated Konoha."
After a brief pause, Shisui continued with a strange expression:
"However, this infiltrator appears to possess both the Mangekyō Sharingan and the Rinnegan... but his strength is somewhat below my expectations."
"Too weak for someone with the Rinnegan?"
Naruto voiced exactly what Shisui had been thinking.
Then he gestured toward the empty seat beside him and said calmly:
"Sit down, Sasuke from another time and space."
"We sensed your presence the moment you entered Konoha."
"Sasuke from another time and space?"
Shisui rubbed his eyes and began doubting his own hearing.
He had considered countless possibilities regarding the infiltrator's identity, but never once imagined it would be Uchiha Sasuke.
Sasuke's expression became even stranger.
He immediately stood up and protested:
"If he's Sasuke, then who am I?"
"Naruto, you've got it wrong. I'm Sasuke. He's the fake!"
At that moment, the middle-aged Sasuke stared directly at Naruto and said:
"I am Sasuke."
"But I'm Sasuke from the future."
Turning toward his younger self and Shisui, he continued:
"My younger self, Brother Shisui, could you leave us for a while?"
"Naruto and I have something we need to discuss."
