If the Flying Raijin Technique could be trained to the level of the Fourth Hokage, it would naturally become an invincible killing move.
With the high mobility of the Flying Raijin and the destructive power of a Tailed Beast Bomb, even ninja beyond the level of the Five Kage would get a headache facing it. After all, fighters at that level are never alone—they always have powerful forces backing them.
As for Naruto… his mastery of the Flying Raijin was barely on par with the Fourth Hokage's Guard Platoon. Using it for "express delivery" might work, but in real combat? He'd probably get laughed at—or worse, get his head cut off before he even finished teleporting.
Still, Naruto had no intention of giving up on the Flying Raijin completely. Who knew? It might produce some unexpected results in the future.
After all, even something as ridiculous as the Reverse Harem Jutsu managed to land a hit on Kaguya Ōtsutsuki. So a "beginner version" of Flying Raijin might still have its uses…
Too lazy to keep overthinking his lack of talent in space-time ninjutsu, Naruto exited the sealed space and headed toward the Uzumaki Shrine. Thinking about it, he hadn't seen the old Uzumaki clan head in quite a while.
Ever since teaching Naruto sealing techniques, the old man had basically shut himself inside the shrine.
After walking for more than ten minutes, Naruto arrived and spotted Uzumaki Ashina sitting in a lakeside pavilion.
At that moment, Ashina was kneeling on a tatami mat, surrounded by scattered sealing scrolls, clearly researching some new technique.
Sensing Naruto's chakra, Ashina turned around with a displeased expression.
"So, our great new clan head finally decided to show up? Not busy ruling Uzushiogakure and the Land of Whirlpool anymore?"
Unlike the Five Great Nations, the leader of Uzushiogakure also held the title of Daimyō of the Land of Whirlpool—a rare exception.
To Naruto, though, it made perfect sense. In a world where personal strength ruled everything, it always felt weird that the ruler of the Land of Fire wasn't the Hokage.
…Then again, if you thought of ninja villages like sects from cultivation novels, it became easier to understand.
Ninjas needed time to train, so handing tax collection to feudal lords wasn't surprising—but it did explain why those nobles always had such a strange attitude toward ninja.
At that moment, Naruto noticed something off about Ashina.
Following his gaze, Ashina smiled lightly.
"It's nothing serious. This Edo Tensei body is starting to fall apart. I'll just apply another seal later to keep my soul from slipping away."
Naruto frowned. He knew Edo Tensei had a time limit—but he hadn't expected it to have already expired.
If that was the case, why hadn't the old man returned to the Pure Land? Why force himself to remain using sealing techniques? Wouldn't that damage his soul?
As if reading his thoughts, Ashina nodded.
"Of course it will. My soul will slowly wear away. But compared to that lifeless Pure Land, I'd rather stay here and pass on a few more sealing techniques to you youngsters… Even if it means burning my soul dry."
Naruto fell silent. Reviving the Uzumaki clan had clearly become the old man's obsession.
Seeing his expression, Ashina chuckled.
"Don't just stand there. Take a look at these new sealing techniques I've developed. Improved them based on modern methods—though I've no idea if they'll actually work."
Naruto picked up one of the scrolls, only to find it contained… food preservation seals.
He raised an eyebrow.
"All of these are… daily-life seals? None for combat?"
Ashina snorted.
"What's the point of using sealing techniques in combat? Other than killing people, they're useless—and ridiculously hard to master. One mistake and boom, you die together with your enemy. Sounds like a dumb deal to me."
Naruto put the scroll down, then suddenly asked,
"By the way, old man… what exactly is the Pure Land like?"
Ashina's expression changed slightly before he replied:
"It's dark. Completely dark. You can sense other souls, but you can't touch them. All you can do is wait… until your soul eventually fades away."
"That's it?" Naruto frowned.
Ashina glanced at him.
"What else were you expecting? It's where the dead stay. At least there's no endless fighting like in the ninja world. Though… that brat Tobirama Senju created a terrifying jutsu—dragging the dead back into the living world."
After thinking for a moment, Naruto said,
"Doesn't Edo Tensei feel similar to the Summoning Jutsu? Except instead of summoning animals, you're 'contracting' with the souls of dead ninja."
Ashina nodded.
"That's one way to look at it. But why are you asking? Planning to exploit the Pure Land… or revive someone you lost? Either way, I'd advise you not to mess with the dead."
"When the boundary between life and death blurs… order collapses."
Naruto grinned.
"I'm not that bored. At most, I'd just make the dead work for me."
Ashina's eye twitched.
"…Brat, that's even worse."
Naruto ignored him and continued,
"After hearing your description, the Pure Land reminds me a bit of something… those White Zetsu I encountered before."
"White Zetsu?" Ashina showed interest.
Naruto didn't elaborate. Some things were better left unsaid.
Still, he couldn't shake the feeling—the Pure Land seemed strangely similar to the Infinite Tsukuyomi. Maybe it was even connected to the God Tree itself.
If that were true… then the existence of Hagoromo Ōtsutsuki would become… questionable.
With his power, the Sage of Six Paths shouldn't have needed a physical body to exist. So why choose death?
Kurama might know part of the truth—but good luck getting that stubborn fox to talk.
Shaking his head, Naruto dropped the topic and smirked.
"Old man, can you invent a sealing technique that locks space itself? I've got an enemy who uses space-time ninjutsu."
Ashina froze for a second… then laughed.
"Seal space? Are you trying to screw me over? I'm old, not some genius kid with endless crazy ideas!"
Naruto sighed, a bit disappointed—but also not surprised.
There were plenty of space-time techniques in the ninja world—Summoning Jutsu, Flying Raijin, even eye techniques like Kamui—but nothing that directly sealed space itself.
Maybe even the Ōtsutsuki clan couldn't pull that off… or maybe he was just aiming too damn high.
