A Note From the Author
Dear Readers,
I didn't plan to write this chapter.
But after everything Angel and Santiago have been through, and after everything I felt while writing it, I knew I had to pause and speak to you—not as a storyteller, but as a human being.
This story started as an idea. Just a thought.
What if a powerful mage married someone he shouldn't want?
What if love walked into danger without armor?
But somewhere along the way, it became more than that.
While writing Angel, I felt her fear—the kind that doesn't scream, the kind that sits quietly in your chest and makes you question your worth. I felt what it was like to be surrounded by power and still feel small. To be loved, yet not feel safe. To be chosen, yet constantly wonder why.
Angel is not weak.
But she is vulnerable.
And vulnerability is often mistaken for weakness.
When I wrote Santiago, I didn't want him to be soft. I wanted him to be cold, controlled, feared. But I also wanted to explore something harder—what happens when someone like that loves? When protection becomes obsession. When power is no longer enough to fix what matters most.
Some chapters were easy to write.
Others were heavy.
There were moments I had to stop and breathe, because the emotions felt too real. The demon, the possession, the silence at the dinner table—it wasn't just fantasy. It was about control, fear, and losing yourself while everyone else is watching.
And maybe… some of you felt that too.
If you're still reading this story, I want you to know something:
I see you.
I see the readers who feel deeply but don't always have the words.
The ones who love intense stories because they reflect emotions you can't say out loud.
The ones who stay up late reading, not just for entertainment, but for connection.
Your comments, your likes, your silent reads—they matter more than you think. Every time I write a chapter, I imagine someone on the other side of the screen feeling something because of my words. That thought keeps me going.
This story isn't just about magic or demons or empires.
It's about holding on to yourself when something tries to erase you.
It's about choosing love even when it's dangerous.
It's about fighting—quietly or loudly—to remain you.
Thank you for trusting me with your time and emotions.
Thank you for walking this dark, beautiful path with Angel and Santiago.
The story isn't over yet.
And neither is the fight.
With all my heart,
— The Author 💜
