Something in his voice stirred my instincts—not fear, but awareness. Without waiting, he turned and headed upstairs, and I followed, stepping into a space filled with his presence. The air itself felt claimed, steady and controlled, like everything here moved under his will.
On the second floor, I quickly noticed the arrangement. My room and Jared's were side by side, close enough for me to reach him instantly if needed. But Elliot's room was on the same floor too, just a few steps away. The closeness made my senses sharpen, a quiet reminder that I was deep inside another Alpha's territory.
