"Anastasia, if anything unsettles you at work, don't hesitate to bring it to Elliot. You can rely on him. And if he fails to handle it properly, tell me—I'll personally confront him," Nigel said with a hint of mischief, though beneath his light tone there was a protective instinct that felt almost territorial, like a pack member ensuring another wasn't left vulnerable.

I let out a small chuckle, sensing the underlying energy in his words rather than taking them at face value. "That won't be necessary. My responsibilities won't escalate to a level where I need to trouble him like that."

Nigel shook his head slightly, clearly unconvinced. "I'm not only referring to your assignments. Work environments can be unpredictable. Individuals test limits, and not everyone respects boundaries. If anyone causes you discomfort, don't endure it silently. Elliot has the authority to remove such problems from your path."
