Chapter 115 - 108 - Distribution of Tasks

Eric closed his eyes and went inside his Mind Space.

Riya conjured the same bluish words and numbers, except there were two rows this time.

Watching Lyria's and Livy's stats, Eric quietly wiped his cold sweat.

These girls were too scary!

And Livy's intelligence was even the highest among them after they had become Mana Wielders!

He secretly wiped even more sweat from his forehead.

Intelligence stats didn't mean one would become smart or not—those things were for oneself.

For example, Eric wasn't too terrible at mathematics; it was just that he didn't see any reason to try harder, and due to this, he had degenerated so much that now he could only act cool with his calculations by cheating behind everyone's back, like asking his advanced 'Accidental Intelligence' wife for help.

Eric had previously thought he was very powerful, but now, looking at both girls' stats, he felt he might not be as badass as he used to think.

Riya laughed. "Imagine what's going to happen next! All of your stats will be the same, although your fighting methods will be different. But honestly, if you guys rank up a few more times, then sparring between you three will become far more catastrophic than how you guys used to do during your mortal days."

Eric smiled with ease. He had no hesitation about increasing Lyria and Livy's stats to the maximum with him, and it would only make things much more interesting and exciting—not only in terms of fighting them but also imagining just how terrifying both girls would be after their stats truly reached that high.

His current interest was in seeing what the breakthrough requirement would be and, after that, how far a person could go. He was very excited to go all the way and to see if he truly ended up dying by being overfed.

Riya silently took a deep breath and didn't say a word about that.

If her hypothesis was correct, then there was a limit to how much one could go. But she probably could do little more for Eric. It would be life-threatening for her, but she was planning to go all out so Eric didn't get reverse-raped by his wives! Cough—although she was 80% certain it would go as she had calculated, anything could happen.

Meanwhile, Livy was very thrilled with so much water and really wished to go for a swim. She, Lyria, and Eric used to swim in the pond behind the orphanage, so they all knew how to. But she couldn't do so without Eric's permission, so she held back.

Perhaps because she was Water Element user, just watching so much water had greatly improved her mood, and her previous heavy feeling about taking a life the night before had completely disappeared.

She ran around the entire island and totally fell in love with it. She looked forward to spending the next few months together with Eric and Lyria.

Lyria was also very excited. She had noticed that on this island, only they were around, so she didn't need to act proper and 'big responsible sister'-like. They all knew each other's characters deeply, so there was no reason to act too proper.

Instead of taking a tour around the island, Lyria had decided to climb one of the hills.

Gazing at the endless horizon filled with blue water and waves, with a few small islands visible far away, she was completely satisfied.

'What a fantastic place!'

She also looked forward to spending her time here together with both Livy and Eric. They could try swimming later and perhaps play some games as well; it would be lots of fun.

Lyria suddenly recalled Bella Noll's reminder and pushed aside her playful thoughts for now.

'Playing can wait. I should first see what Brother Eric's plans are and also what that High Elf had left here for training.'

Lyria jumped off and dashed back toward Eric's location.

Soon, Livy and Lyria returned, and Eric took them inside the Emperor's living room, which was the first room.

As soon as both Lyria and Livy entered, they were amazed by the architecture of the furniture and the entire setup. All of it reminded them of Moonveil Palace furniture, but the current ones weren't that fancy—though the designs were definitely a lot more pleasing to the eye, almost as if these furnishings had been made with extreme care.

Eric let both girls be and calmly took a seat on a single-seater couch.

After checking out the living room, both Lyria and Livy came and sat on another couch opposite Eric.

"Brother Eric, can you speak about the High Elf who saved you?" Lyria inquired with deep curiosity.

Eric coughed and began recounting everything from beginning to end. Of course, he skipped the 'love at first sight' incident—it would be too embarrassing to talk about that to the girls who had just confessed their love for him the day before.

Lyria and Livy quietly listened. Their hearts nearly leaped out of their mouths when they learned that Lysandra was a Grandmaster!

They finally learned the classification of rank in the world, and they also understood why it would have been depressing to listen to it when they were just Mortals. But, like Eric, they were completely fine—they just wished to stay with him forever; the rest was secondary.

They also wanted to become strong and capable and had the determination to seek it, but that would go together with Eric. He was their lifespan, and they were extremely happy and grateful for it.

After Eric retold the entire event, he went straight to business. He first talked about what the professions were and how much Lysandra had left for them to cover and learn.

Just hearing all of that nearly gave both Lyria and Livy heart attacks.

Watching both girls' disbelief-filled expressions, Eric shook his head in disappointment. A peasant would always be a peasant—unlike him, who was calm throughout.

Riya snorted with disdain.

Eric decided to give both girls a short tour across the anthill first to broaden their peasant eyes.

After a short half-hour tour across the cave rooms, all three once again sat back in the living room.

Lyria and Livy's expressions were blank.

They were completely stupefied internally. They had never even imagined it was possible to hold that much inside this small hill—or rather, inside this small island. Leaving that aside, just watching so many 'treasures' made their brains go haywire, and their bodies were moving like Undeads.

Eric was very satisfied watching their expressions.

That's right—commoners should always carry this expression, and this was just 0.0001% of his powers!

After recovering, Livy gave Eric a suspicious look. "Brother Eric, are you perhaps hiding something from us? Maybe Lysandra considers you more than just a junior or friend?"

Eric nearly coughed his heart out. Although Lysandra wasn't, Elara was.

He shook his head. "I also don't know why Lysandra has provided so much for us, but looking at how she even made a room for you girls and provided so many resources—which I definitely couldn't finish in just a few years—I'd say she had long been aware of both of you. Anyway, my best guess is Lysandra has something she wants our help with in the future, but for now, we're useless, so she provided everything possible for us to start our journey properly instead of wasting time searching and learning these things."

Lyria agreed. She also felt the same—otherwise, Lysandra, being an experienced Grandmaster, wouldn't do something so pointless and huge.

Her eyes had been sparkling ever since she went inside the Blacksmith room. She raised her hand and requested, "Brother Eric, if you don't mind, can you let me handle all the Blacksmithing work? I'll make sure not to disappoint you!"

"W-what! T-then Brother Eric, I want to do all other professions! I don't wish to lack in anything!" Livy quickly bid.

"Nonsense!" Lyria swiftly fired back, "Do you think you can take care of all professions all together? Do you think you can finish everything in just eight months? I think you better take a cold shower and wake up to reality, you slimy beast!"

"Rubbish! Just because you, metal-head, can't do that doesn't mean I can't! Also, we don't need to worry about training anymore..."

"Okay, stop, both of you," Eric interrupted Lyria and Livy's banter.

"We all must learn the basic theoretical knowledge of all professions, but that can wait—we can do that in the last two months or even after leaving the island. For now, it's indeed better to divide the professions equally so we can cover the maximum."

"Ly, I'm really glad you want to take on all of Blacksmithing, as this is almost three plus one jobs. Perhaps when you feel you're good enough, you can make us some weapons, armor, and clothes of our preferred designs?"

Lyria patted her chest and declared enthusiastically, "Of course—leave it to me. I love weapons, armor, and even clothing. And I'll give my best in the designs you want me to make."

Her eyes were still sparkling. She was extremely excited and wanted to immediately head to the Blacksmith room and begin learning.

She was confused about what Eric had just mentioned, so she inquired, "Blacksmithing is four jobs?" She thought it was three.

Eric explained briefly, "Enchantment seems to be a very important part of making Tier Blacksmithing products." He then turned toward Livy. "Liv, I appreciate your passion, sadly, we don't have enough time to study everything—not only now but also throughout life. It's better if we excel at something and leave the rest for others to handle." He said this with a serious expression.

Riya rolled her eyes. "Yeah, spoken by the person who just wants to pass all the hard work to others and laze around."

Eric was embarrassed. Indeed, he didn't want to do too much, but for now, he had to get rid of his indolence and focus seriously on at least two professions.

Livy bit her lip and thought.

She had indeed thrown her net a little too wide, but she was also very interested in learning everything. She could also understand Eric's point—he wasn't entirely stopping her from learning but encouraging her to focus on some professions.

She thought deeply about which profession she could devote herself to entirely—something she would never regret and could push to its peak someday, so both Eric and Lyria could completely rely on her for those subjects for life.

After thinking for a while, Livy lifted her head and stared at Eric with utmost earnestness. "Brother Eric, leave Runes and Arrays to me—also Scrolls—and you can totally leave Alchemy to me as well!"

Eric and Lyria rolled their eyes. Livy was pretty much asking for everything in a roundabout way!
