Chapter 23 - Chapter 23 - Who is the real Mastermind? Take a Guess!

Looking at the pitiful face of the boy crying in snot and tears, I successfully felt the pleasure of revenge.

Ah! How comfortable? How pleasurable?

Ah! What a nice cry? My lord loves children's cries the midst!"

Kick after kick, I can fully understand the pleasure of that women. This feeling feeling of power, this feeling of controlling life and death of others, I can't get enough of it.

I wished I could trample the boy until his bones broke, until his internal organs were broken, until he completely fainted.

Ah, how wonderful that would be?

My brain, it's trembling from pleasure!

Unfortunately, that bastard Volth stopped me.

However, that doesn't matter. If I can't kill him then can't I even torture him.

But seeing him beg for mercy and cry for help, an unknown disgust and annoyance suddenly arose in my heart.

Annoying. That look is annoying. Stopping looking at me with that face, you damn noble son.

I increased the intensity of my kicks, wishing to kick him to death directly but I couldn't kill him now. I must extort the Anglus family then kill this boy and send him as a gift.

Seeing him keep begging, the annoying feeling increased, causing me to hit too hard.

Ah I understand now, I understand. This boy, he reminds me of my past self. He reminds me of the time I begged for mercy from that bitch. He reminds me of my week days which is simply too annoying.

I gave him a hard kick, causing him to faint.

"What? He fainted so quickly? How boring."

This was so boring. What use was kicking an unconscious person. I felt bored, ready to leave this room.

But at this moment, a terrifying pressure suddenly rose up from behind me, causing my steps to halt.

A cold and chilling wind suddenly swept past me.

If one looked from the sky, they would be shocked to find that Snow flakes had started falling and a strong gale had enveloped the entire area.

A chilling wind blew up from behind, causing my body to shiver and stiffen mid-step. My fingers, which had been casually playing with the metal pliers, suddenly trembled.

This kind of feeling, she has only experienced it once in her life.

"No way..." An absurd thought rose up in my mind and I slowly turned around stiffly

Back to when Robert fell unconscious.

A faint, black mist began to seep out from beneath the boy's body. At first, it was subtle—like smoke then it thickened and spread like ink dropped into water, darkness slowly flooded the room… crawling along the ground, climbing the walls, swallowing the dim light whole.

My pupils shrank because this was black mist was similar to the one that saved me but the feeling it gave was completely different.

There no Evil or Chaotic Aura. But pure sacred aura, which was totally baffling.

"What the hell is this…?"

My instincts, honed from years of suffering and survival, were screaming at me.

Danger.

I saw Robert's body rose up slowly from the ground, totally unlike a human. Slowly, unnaturally, he lifted from the ground, with bound limbs hanging loosely. The black mist coiled around his body, floating form like a living shroud. Then the ropes began to snap one ond one.

Snap! Snap! Snap!

As the last of the ropes fell away, hitting the floor with hollow thuds, his physical form began to undergo a violent, supernatural transition.

The warmth of life drained from his features, replaced by a complexion as pale and cold as polished marble. The most jarring change, however, started at the roots of his hair. The mundane brown strands were bleached in an instant, turning into a shimmering, metallic silver that seemed to catch the dying light of the room.

As the mist surged upward, it didn't dissipate. Instead, it condensed into shape, turning into a pure black windbreaker, and covering his small figure.

At this moment, Robert opened his eyes. His former black pupils were gone, replaced by vibrant red like blood red Jade. Against the backdrop of the darkness, they looked extremely cold and terrifying to look at.

Chilling Killing intent and substantial magic power erupted from his center, rippling outward in visible distortions of space.

Ice and snow attribute magic power spread out with him as the source, causing the temperature to instantly cool down.

Above Robert's silver hair, the ice Magic slowly condensed into form, turning into a pale blue Crown with intricate engravings upon its surface.

The Sun, Moon, and a sea of shifting Stars were depicted on the top. Mountains, rivers, and vast oceans were at the center whereas delicate, lifelike figures of Elves, Dragons, Fairies, and Spirits were depicted at the bottom.

"Cr-crowned One..."

That was the last thought before I was engulfed by a dazzling blue light.

Carol Froze into icicle.

(Volth's Perspective)

After I walked out, a terrifying magic spread out from the temporary hidden base. Before I could react to what was happened, my consciousness became hazy.

Volth also turned into an icicle.
