The sky above the arena remained split into two halves by streaks of red and blue light. On one side, the massive white dragon unleashed from Yan Kai Long's Thunder Dragon Vein roared with all its might. On the other, Ye Fang's Flame Phoenix fought back with its searing flames, but slowly, its radiance began to dim.
Yan Kai Long didn't possess just a single source of power. His Blue Dragon Body granted him unbreakable stability, and his White Dragon Martial Soul had the sheer force to pierce through the phoenix's fire. As the duel progressed, the dragon began to overwhelm the phoenix. With every strike of the dragon's claws, the phoenix's flames were scattered into the air.
The crowd held its breath. It looked as though the phoenix was about to be extinguished.
Ye Fang narrowed his eyes. He realized that his phoenix was falling behind in raw power. Instantly, he reached into his robes and pulled out two special talismans. These were the very Boost Cards he had been saving until now.
Without wasting a second, he channeled his energy into both slips of paper and shouted, "Go!"
The two talismans flew with the speed of lightning and merged directly into the wings of the burning phoenix. The first was a 'Speed Boost' and the second was a 'Power Boost.'
The moment those talismans collided with the phoenix, an explosion rocked the arena, instantly shifting the atmospheric pressure. The fire of the phoenix, which had been fading, suddenly transformed into intense blue and white flames. Its speed became so immense that it appeared as nothing more than a blurred streak of fire.
The phoenix let out a shriek so piercing that every window in the city rattled. The tables had turned. Where the dragon was previously on the offensive, it was now forced into a desperate defense. The phoenix was above the dragon one moment and behind it the next, striking with lightning speed. Its power had now more than doubled.
Yan Kai Long's face was now drenched in sweat. He gripped his sword tighter than ever. He had never seen anyone use talismans to elevate the power of a summoned spirit to such heights.
"Incredible!" Yan Kai Long hissed through gritted teeth. He squeezed out every last drop of his Golden Core energy to prevent his dragon from shattering.
Above the arena, the vortex of fire and lightning grew even more terrifying. On one side was the convergence of three dragon powers; on the other, the divine phoenix roaring with a double boost. It felt as if two different eras were colliding, and the entire arena was blinded by the blinding radiance.
