I kept yawning while following Principal Varek toward the Adept Class Building.
Today was the day I'm about to teach but unfortunately, my soul was still asleep.
My head felt light from lack of sleep after staying awake half the night listening to Silvano lecture me like a disappointed parent.
"Don't be sarcastic."
"Try to encourage them."
"Please don't insult the students."
"Normal teachers don't compare sculptures to roadkill."
"Stop destroying people's confidence."
"Say things like 'good attempt' instead of 'what abomination is this supposed to be?'"
By the end of it, I almost threw a pillow at him.
Meanwhile the old fox walking beside me looked far too energetic this early in the morning.
"You seem tired, Miss Frostine," Varek commented pleasantly.
"I was psychologically attacked last night," I answered honestly.
Varek chuckled. "I hope you still have the energy to teach, Miss Frostine."
I yawned again while dragging my feet dramatically across the hallway.
