For the entire afternoon, Ewan and Asher Ryder remained in the VIP lounge, watching the horde of slimes perform their chaotic, jiggling dance. It was not until the harsh sun began to wane that the two finally stepped out onto the streets. By now, the atmosphere at The Moon's Fork had donned a new coat of gentle, apricot-yellow early spring light, making everything look remarkably more vibrant and full of life.
The two walked hand in hand out of Vance's eatery, the chaotic slimes having already been retracted into Ewan's dimensional summoning space. Fortunately, those wild slimes could also be recalled; otherwise, Ewan would not have had the faintest idea how to deal with them. After all, it was someone else's establishment, and it would have been quite the hassle if anyone else had caught sight of the gelatinous spectacle.
