Simon immediately perked up upon hearing that: "So, should you and I head out to the stream to catch some more snails? I'll swing by and get Wyatt while we are at it."
"Nah, just the two of us is enough for snail catching. Wyatt is still out there digging up ferns, don't bully him like that."
Simon pouted: "Wyatt is strong, the least he can do is help us carry the snail baskets."
"Dream on." Ewan flicked Simon on the forehead: "Do you really think we can catch so many that we can't carry them ourselves and actually need Wyatt?"
Simon gave another pout before giggling and darting away. Ewan watched him go, figuring the guy was probably off to gather gear for catching snails. Ewan shook his head, then cast his gaze back to the snails in the basin.
If things could progress the way Ewan envisioned, this would no longer be a mere food stockpile.
