Chapter 740 - V9-41 Ai generated sex stories 4 Steve smith x Hailey smith.

The nature doc had been on for forty minutes and Steve couldn't have named a single animal in it. Some lioness on the savanna was licking her cub, or maybe eating something, and the narrator's voice had dissolved into the same warm drone as the window AC unit that wasn't quite keeping up with the evening heat. He'd watched the same five minutes twice. His phone sat dark in his lap, the screen reflecting the lamp's weak glow, and he'd typed and deleted the same message to Akiko four times before giving up entirely.

The front door didn't so much open as it announced itself — a stumble, a giggle, the screen door slapping shut against the frame. Steve looked up. Hailey was navigating the hallway like it had rearranged itself since this morning, one hand on the wall, the other holding something that trailed a thin ribbon of smoke.

"Hey, Steve-o." Her voice came out slow and syrupy, the words sliding into each other. "You're still up."

"It's eight-thirty."

"Exactly." She grinned at that like it was the funniest thing anyone had ever said, and weaved her way into the living room. She was wearing those cutoff jeans with the frayed hems and a tie-dye shirt that had seen better days, and the whole room seemed to shift when she walked through it — all that energy, all that warm patchouli smell, following her like a wake.

She flopped down on the couch next to him, and the old springs groaned under the sudden weight. Her shoulder pressed against his, and she was warm — radiating heat like a space heater left on too long. The joint in her hand was down to the roach, a tiny ember glowing orange at the tip.

"You're not gonna believe what happened," she said, and then laughed at nothing.

"What?"

"I don't remember."

She laughed again, harder this time, and Steve felt his mouth twitch into a smile despite himself. That was the thing about Hailey — she could be a lot, but she was never boring. The joint had burned down to her fingers and she seemed to notice it for the first time, staring at it with the confused concentration of someone trying to solve a puzzle.

"You're gonna burn yourself," Steve said.

"Oh. Right." She stubbed it out on the coffee table, leaving a black smear on the scratched wood, and dropped the roach into an empty mug that had been sitting there since Tuesday. "Thanks, bro."

The TV flickered. The lioness was doing something on the savanna, and Steve watched Hailey's eyes drift toward the screen, glassy and unfocused. She scooted closer, her thigh pressing against his, and he could smell it now — the weed, thick and skunky, layered over her patchouli. Her eyes were red-rimmed and heavy-lidded, and she was looking at him with an expression he couldn't quite read.

"Steve," she said, and her voice had gone softer, less giggly. "You're the only guy who gets me, you know that?"

"I mean — I don't know about—"

"No, seriously." She reached out and put her hand on his thigh, just above the knee. Her palm was warm through the denim of his jeans, and Steve felt every muscle in his leg go rigid. "Jeff doesn't get me. He tries, but he doesn't. He's always so — you know. Jeff."

"Jeff's cool," Steve managed. His voice came out about an octave higher than he wanted it to.

"Jeff's cool," she repeated, and there was something in her tone he couldn't place. "Jeff's so cool he's practically a popsicle." She squeezed his thigh, her fingers pressing into the muscle, and leaned in closer. Her breath was warm and sweet with weed, and it washed over his face as she whispered, "I bet you'd be better than Jeff anyway."

Steve's heart was doing something complicated in his chest. His brain had short-circuited somewhere around "the only guy who gets me" and hadn't fully rebooted. He could feel the heat of her palm through his jeans like a brand, and the weight of her words hung in the air between them — a dare, a question, a door left open.

"Hailey, you're — you're really high right now."

"Yeah." She said it like it was the most obvious thing in the world. "That's why I'm telling you the truth."

"The truth about what?"

She tilted her head, studying him with those big brown eyes, and a slow smile spread across her face. "About how I think about you, Steve. About how I've been thinking about you for a while, actually."

The room felt smaller all of a sudden. The lamp's glow seemed to have dimmed, pulling the shadows in closer. The window screen buzzed with evening insects, and the heat pressed in from outside, thick and heavy. Steve could feel his own pulse in his throat, in his temples, in the tips of his fingers where they gripped the edge of the couch cushion.

"You're my sister," he said, and the words came out like a question.

"I know." She didn't move her hand. "Does that bother you?"

Yes. No. Maybe. He didn't know what he meant by any of it. His mind was a whiteboard covered in half-erased equations, and Hailey had just walked up and drawn a circle around the one variable he'd never been brave enough to solve. She was still looking at him, patient and glassy-eyed, and her thumb was tracing small circles on his thigh, right above the knee.

"I've seen the way you look at me," she said. "When you think I'm not paying attention."

"I don't—"

"It's okay." Her voice was a murmur now, low and warm. "I look at you too."

Steve's throat had gone dry. He tried to swallow and it didn't work. The nature doc had moved on to some kind of bird, but he couldn't have told you what it was doing or why. All he could feel was her hand on his leg, the weight of it, the heat of it, the way her thumb kept moving in those slow, deliberate circles.

"Hailey, you're married."

"I know." She said it again, softer this time. "Jeff's not here, though, is he?"

"He's at band practice."

"He's always at band practice." Her hand moved higher, creeping up his thigh, and Steve felt his breath catch in his chest. "He's always somewhere else. Do you know the last time he actually looked at me? Really looked at me?"

"I don't—"

"Because I do. It was three weeks ago, and it was because I'd burnt the toast and he was trying to figure out if it was worth mentioning." She laughed, but there was no humor in it. "Three weeks, Steve. And you've looked at me more times tonight than he has all month."

Her hand had reached the top of his thigh now, her fingers brushing against the seam of his jeans. Steve's whole body was a live wire. He should say something. He should move. He should do literally anything other than sit here with his sister's hand on his leg while the evening pressed in around them and the nature doc narrated something he'd never remember.

"I'm not asking you to solve anything," she said, reading his silence. "I'm not asking for a commitment. I'm just — I'm asking if you want this."

"Want what?"

She leaned in closer, close enough that he could count her eyelashes, close enough that her breath ghosted across his lips. "Want me."

The word hung there between them, heavy and electric. Steve's hands were trembling. He could feel it — the fine, involuntary tremor that ran through his fingers where they gripped the cushion. His whole body was shaking with it, with the impossibility of the moment, with the yes that was building in his chest like a wave he couldn't hold back.

"I—"

She kissed him.

It wasn't a gentle kiss. It wasn't tentative or questioning. Her lips pressed against his, warm and insistent, and her hand slid higher on his thigh, squeezing. Steve made a sound — he didn't know what kind — and his eyes fell shut, and for one long, suspended moment, the world reduced itself to the press of her mouth against his, the taste of weed and something sweeter, the way her fingers curled into the denim of his jeans.

When she pulled back, her eyes were still glassy but focused, and there was a new energy in them — something sharp beneath the haze. Her hand moved to the button of his jeans, fingers working it open with practiced ease. Steve's breath caught. The button came free. The zipper followed, a small metallic sound in the quiet room.

She looked at him, a slow smile spreading across her face, and said, "That's just the beginning, little brother."

Her fingers worked the button open, and then her hand was inside his jeans, sliding past the waistband of his boxers, and the first touch of her fingers on his bare skin sent a shock through him like a live wire. She was warm, so warm, and he was already hard — had been hard since somewhere around "I bet you'd be better than Jeff anyway" — and when her fingers closed around him, he let out a sound that was half gasp, half groan.

"Oh," she said, soft and pleased. "Oh, Steve."

Her fingers were wrapped around him and Steve's mind had stopped producing thoughts entirely. There was only sensation — the warm, firm grip of her hand, the way her thumb found the sensitive spot just below the head and pressed, experimental and curious. He heard himself make another sound, something embarrassingly close to a whimper, and his hips twitched involuntarily toward her palm.

"Easy," she murmured, and there was a smile in her voice. "We've got all night."

All night. The words didn't compute. Nothing computed. He was sitting on his family's couch with his sister's hand down his pants while a nature doc played to an empty room, and somewhere across town Jeff was probably tuning a guitar and thinking about absolutely nothing. Steve's fingers had gone white where they gripped the cushion, knuckles straining against the worn floral fabric.

Hailey shifted beside him, turning her body to face him more fully, and the motion brought her closer — her knee pressing against his, her chest rising and falling in slow, easy breaths. She was looking at him with those big brown eyes, and there was something almost tender in the way she studied his face, like she was cataloging every twitch and tremor he couldn't control.

"You're so nervous," she said, soft and wondering. "I didn't think you'd be this nervous."

"I'm not—" His voice cracked. He cleared his throat and tried again. "I'm not nervous. I'm just. Processing."

She laughed at that, a low, pleased sound, and her grip tightened around him, slow and deliberate. "Processing. That's cute."

Steve's glasses had fogged up. He didn't remember that happening. He pulled them off with his free hand — the one not frozen at his side — and set them on the coffee table next to the mug with the roach in it, and the room went soft and blurry around the edges. Hailey's face was still clear, close enough that he could see the tiny flecks of gold in her brown eyes, the way her pupils had blown wide and dark.

"Better?" she asked.

He nodded, not trusting his voice.

Her hand started moving — slow, experimental strokes that started at the base and slid up to the tip, her thumb sweeping across the head and spreading the wetness that had gathered there. Steve's breath caught. His hand shot out and grabbed her wrist, not to stop her — he didn't want to stop her — but because his body needed something to hold onto.

Hailey paused. "Do you want me to stop?"

The question sat there, patient, and Steve could feel the weight of it — the way she was giving him an out, the way she would take her hand back and laugh it off and pretend none of this had happened if he said the word. The nature doc had moved on to a shot of the savanna at dusk, the sky a wash of orange and purple, and the lamp cast long shadows across the scratched coffee table where his glasses sat, abandoned.

"No," he said, and his voice came out steadier than he felt. "Don't stop."

Her smile softened into something warmer, and she leaned in and kissed him again — slower this time, less desperate, her lips moving against his with a lazy confidence that made his stomach flip. Her hand resumed its motion, stroking him in a rhythm that matched the pace of her mouth, and Steve's eyes fluttered shut. He could taste the weed on her tongue, sweet and skunky, and underneath it something that was just her — just Hailey, the way she'd tasted when she'd stolen his soda at family dinners, the way she'd smelled when she'd hugged him at graduation.

She pulled back just far enough to whisper against his lips. "You've been thinking about this too, haven't you? You've been thinking about it for a long time."

Steve couldn't lie. Not with her hand wrapped around him, not with her body pressed warm against his side, not with the evidence of exactly how long he'd been thinking about it hard and leaking in her grip.

"Yeah," he breathed. "Yeah, I have."

"I know." She kissed the corner of his mouth, then his jaw, then the spot just below his ear that made his whole body shiver. "I've known for a while. I just needed to be high enough to do something about it."

Her thumb traced the ridge of him again, and Steve's hips bucked — a small, involuntary motion that pressed him deeper into her palm. She made a pleased sound against his neck and stroked him faster, and the room had gone warm and close around them, the evening insects buzzing against the screen like they were cheering him on.

"Hailey," he managed, and it came out like a question he didn't know how to finish.

"Shh." Her free hand came up to cup his jaw, turning his face toward her. "Just let me take care of you, okay? That's all I want to do right now."

She kissed him again, and Steve let himself sink into it — let himself stop thinking about Jeff, about the word sister, about the way his hands were still trembling where they'd found her hips. Her hand kept moving, slow and sure, and the weight of the night pressed in around them, heavy and full of promise.

Her hand worked him slow and lazy, like she had all the time in the world, and Steve's head fell back against the couch cushion. The ceiling was doing something — the shadows from the lamp stretching across it in patterns he couldn't follow, and he closed his eyes because the world was too much, too bright, too real. Everything was her hand. Everything was the warm, firm grip of her fingers and the way her thumb swept across the head of him, spreading the wetness that had gathered there until he could hear it — a soft, slick sound that made his face burn.

"Look at you," Hailey murmured. "You're already leaking."

His eyes flew open. She was watching him with that lazy, pleased expression, her head tilted like she was studying something fascinating. Her fingers curled around him, and she gave a slow, experimental stroke that started at the base and slid all the way up to the tip, and Steve made a sound he'd never heard himself make before.

"That's so hot," she said, almost to herself. "You have no idea how long I've wanted to see your face like this."

"Hailey—" His voice came out cracked and thin. "I don't. I've never—"

"I know." She said it soft, not mocking. "I know, baby."

Baby. The word landed somewhere in his chest, warm and wrong and perfect. She shifted on the couch, turning to face him more fully, and her other hand came up to rest on his shoulder. Her thumb traced the collar of his t-shirt, and she leaned in and kissed him again, slower this time — a deep, languid kiss that tasted like weed and something sweeter, something that was just her.

Her hand kept moving on him, and Steve's hips started to move with it — small, involuntary thrusts that pressed him deeper into her grip. He couldn't help it. The sensation was building in him like pressure in a pipe, and he had no idea how to control it, no idea how to slow it down. He was going to come. He could feel it — a hot, urgent swell at the base of his spine that was going to crest whether he wanted it to or not.

"Hailey, I'm gonna—"

"I know." She pulled back just enough to look at him, and there was something hungry in her eyes. "I want you to. I want to watch."

Her grip tightened, and her strokes got faster, and Steve's hands shot out and grabbed the couch cushion so hard his knuckles went white. He tried to warn her again but the words wouldn't come — just a sound, something between a gasp and a groan, as his hips bucked and he came in her hand, hot and sudden, spilling over her fingers and his own stomach.

Hailey watched it happen, her eyes dark and fixed on his face, and when he finally went still, trembling and breathless, she smiled.

"There you go," she said softly. "That's it."

She lifted her hand and looked at it — his cum glistening on her fingers — and then, without breaking eye contact, she brought them to her mouth and licked them clean.

Steve's brain short-circuited. He watched her tongue sweep across her fingers, watched her swallow, and something in him — something he hadn't known was there — woke up and sat forward.

"Holy shit," he breathed.

Hailey laughed, low and pleased. "Tastes like you." She wiped her hand on her cutoffs and leaned in, pressing her body against his side. "That was just the warm-up, little brother."

"Warm-up?" His voice cracked on the second syllable.

"Mhm." She kissed his jaw, his neck, the spot below his ear that made his whole body shiver. "I told you. We've got all night."

Her hand slid down his chest, over his stomach, past the wet spot on his t-shirt, and stopped at the button of his jeans. She'd already undone it — he'd forgotten — and her fingers found the waistband of his boxers and tugged.

"Stand up," she said.

Steve stood. He didn't remember deciding to stand, but his body was moving before his brain caught up, and suddenly he was on his feet in front of the couch, his jeans hanging open, his boxers tented and damp.

Hailey looked up at him from the couch, and there was something in her expression he'd never seen before — a hunger that made his stomach flip.

"Take them off," she said.

He kicked off his shoes, then his jeans, then his boxers, and stood there in his t-shirt and socks, his cock half-hard and sticky against his thigh. The lamp light was warm on his skin, and he could feel the evening heat pressing in from the window, thick and close.

Hailey reached out and took him in her hand again, and he was already hardening under her touch, responding to her like he had no say in it.

"That's better," she said. She stroked him slow, watching his face, and then she leaned forward and pressed a kiss to the inside of his thigh.

Steve's breath caught. Her lips were warm and soft, and she was looking up at him with those big brown eyes, and she was kissing a trail up his thigh, higher and higher, until her mouth was right there, her breath ghosting across him.

"Hailey—"

"Shh." She pressed a kiss to the base of him, and then her tongue came out, flat and warm, and slid up the length of him in one long, slow stroke.

Steve's knees buckled. He grabbed the back of the couch to keep himself upright, and his head fell forward, and he watched — he couldn't look away — as his sister wrapped her lips around the head of his cock and took him into her mouth.

Her mouth was hot and wet and perfect, and she moved down him slow, taking more and more of him, and Steve had never felt anything like it. He'd imagined it — of course he'd imagined it, alone in his room with the door locked and his hand moving fast — but the reality was nothing like the fantasy. The reality was her tongue pressing against the underside of him, her throat opening to take him deeper, her hand wrapping around the base of him and stroking in time with her mouth.

"Oh god," he heard himself say. "Oh god, Hailey—"

She hummed around him, a low, pleased sound that vibrated through his whole body, and he felt her fingers dig into his hips, pulling him closer. She took him deeper, her nose brushing against his stomach, and Steve's eyes rolled back.

He was going to come again. He could feel it building already, hot and fast, and he tried to warn her — "Hailey, I'm—" — but she just hummed again and took him deeper, and that was it. He came in her mouth with a sound that was almost a sob, his hips jerking as she swallowed around him, drinking him down.

When she finally pulled off, her lips were slick and red, and she smiled up at him.

"Told you," she said. "I want to take care of you."

Steve's legs gave out. He collapsed onto the couch next to her, breathing hard, his whole body trembling. Hailey laughed and leaned into him, pressing a kiss to his cheek.

"You okay?"

"I don't know," he said honestly. "I think I died."

She laughed again, warm and delighted, and her hand found his, lacing their fingers together. "You're not dead. You're just getting started."

She let go of his hand and stood up, and Steve watched her — the way her tie-dye shirt rode up when she stretched, the curve of her hips in those cutoff jeans. She reached behind her back and pulled the shirt over her head, and Steve's breath caught.

She wasn't wearing a bra. Her breasts were full and round, her nipples dark and already hard, and she was looking at him with that lazy, knowing smile as she tossed the shirt onto the floor.

"Your turn," she said.

Steve's hands shook as he pulled his own shirt off. He felt exposed, skinny and pale under the lamp light, but Hailey was looking at him like he was something worth looking at, and that made it bearable.

She stepped out of her cutoffs, and she wasn't wearing underwear either, and Steve forgot how to breathe. She was beautiful — all soft curves and warm skin, and she was his sister, and she was walking toward him naked, and he couldn't have stopped this if his life depended on it.

She climbed onto the couch, straddling his thighs, and her hands came up to cup his face. She kissed him slow and deep, and he could taste himself on her tongue, and it should have been weird but it wasn't — it was just her, just Hailey, and he wanted her more than he'd ever wanted anything.

"I want you to fuck me," she said against his lips.

The words hit him like a wave. "I—"

"Not like that." She laughed, soft and warm. "I want you to fuck my tits. I want to feel you between them."

She shifted, moving up his body, and her breasts pressed against his chest, warm and soft. She reached down and took him in her hand, guiding him up, and then she pressed her breasts together around him, and Steve's whole body went rigid.

It was soft and hot and tight, and she was looking down at him with that hungry smile, and she started to move — sliding her breasts up and down his length, the friction just right, her skin slick with the wetness he was already leaking.

"Oh god," Steve breathed.

"Feel good?"

"Yes. Fuck, yes."

She moved faster, her breasts sliding over him, her hands pressing them together around him, and Steve's hips started to move with her, thrusting up into the tight, warm channel she'd made. He could feel the edge building again — that hot, urgent swell — and Hailey must have felt it too because she leaned down and pressed her lips to his.

"Come on," she whispered. "Come for me again. Cover me."

That was all it took. Steve's hips bucked, and he came hard, hot and thick, spilling across her chest and her neck and her chin. Hailey moaned at the feel of it, her eyes fluttering shut, and when he was finally done, she looked down at herself — covered in him, glistening under the lamp light — and smiled.

"There," she said. "That's what I wanted."

She leaned down and kissed him, and Steve could taste himself on her lips again, and his hands found her hips, pulling her closer. She was wet — he could feel it, the heat of her pressing against his stomach — and he wanted more. He wanted everything.

"Hailey," he said, and his voice was rough. "I want to—"

"I know." She shifted, positioning herself over him, and her hand guided him to her entrance. "I want you to."

She sank down onto him, slow, and Steve felt himself slide into her — hot and wet and tight — and his whole world narrowed to that single point of contact. She was so warm, so perfect, and she was looking at him with those big brown eyes, and she was his sister, and he was inside her, and he couldn't think about any of it.

She started to move, riding him slow and deep, and Steve's hands found her hips, gripping her like she was the only thing keeping him grounded. Her head fell back, her chest rising and falling, and she moaned — a low, throaty sound that made his toes curl.

"That's it," she breathed. "That's it, Steve. Just like that."

He thrust up into her, meeting her rhythm, and she gasped. Her hands came down on his chest, her nails digging into his skin, and she rode him harder, faster, her breasts bouncing with the motion.

"You feel so good," she said, and her voice was wrecked. "So fucking good."

Steve's world had reduced to this — her heat, her rhythm, the sound of her moans filling the quiet room. He could feel the pressure building again, hot and urgent, and Hailey was right there with him, her body tensing around him.

"I'm close," she gasped. "Steve, I'm—"

She came with a cry, her body clenching around him, and that was it — Steve's hips bucked and he came inside her, hot and deep, filling her. He heard himself make a sound, something raw and desperate, and Hailey collapsed onto his chest, breathing hard.

For a long moment, neither of them moved. The lamp cast its warm glow over them, and the evening insects buzzed against the screen, and somewhere across town, Jeff was probably tuning a guitar.

Hailey lifted her head and looked at him, and there was something soft in her eyes — something he'd never seen before.

"That," she said, "was the best decision I've made all week."

Steve laughed — a shaky, disbelieving sound. "Yeah?"

"Yeah." She kissed him, slow and tender. "And I'm not done with you yet."

She shifted, and he felt himself slip out of her, wet and spent. But her hand found him again, stroking him back to life, and Steve's breath caught.

"Hailey, I don't think I can—"

"You can," she said, and there was a smile in her voice. "I've got all night to prove it."

Her hand kept moving on him, slow and patient, and Steve's body responded like it had no say in the matter. He was hard again — impossibly, stupidly hard, the way he'd been at seventeen when the slightest thought could do this to him. Except the thought was real now. The thought was his sister's hand wrapped around him, stroking him back from the edge of spent, and the weight of her body warm against his side.

"See?" she murmured. "Told you."

"I don't—" His voice came out wrecked. "How is this—"

"Shh." She kissed his shoulder, soft and lazy. "Stop thinking so much. That's your problem, Steve-o. You think when you should just feel."

He wanted to argue — it was his default setting, the reflex that had gotten him through every awkward conversation and every lonely Friday night — but her thumb found the spot just below the head again, and the argument died in his throat. His hips twitched. She smiled against his skin.

"There he is," she said. "There's my brother."

The word landed in his chest like a stone in still water. Brother. She'd never said it like that before — like it was something precious, something she was holding up to the light. He should have felt the weight of it, the wrongness, the line he'd crossed hours ago and couldn't find his way back from. Instead all he felt was her hand, and the heat of her, and the way she was looking at him with those dark, patient eyes.

She shifted, swinging a leg over his hips, and suddenly she was straddling him again, her knees pressing into the worn couch cushions on either side of his thighs. She was wet — he could feel it, the slick heat of her pressing against his stomach as she settled her weight on him. Her hand guided him up, and Steve's breath caught in his throat.

"You ready?" she asked.

He nodded, not trusting his voice.

She sank down onto him, slow, and Steve's eyes rolled back in his head. She was so warm, so tight, and he was still sensitive from before, every nerve ending raw and alive. He felt every inch of her — the way she stretched around him, the way she gripped him when she was fully seated, the way she paused there, letting him feel all of it.

"God," she breathed. "You feel even better the second time."

She started to move — a slow, rolling rhythm that had her grinding against him with every stroke. Her hands came down on his chest, her nails dragging lightly across his skin, and she was looking at him with that hungry, half-lidded gaze that made his stomach flip.

"Look at me," she said.

He did. He couldn't have looked away if he'd tried.

"I want you to remember this," she said, and her voice was low and rough. "I want you to remember exactly what this feels like. The way I'm looking at you right now. The way you're inside me."

"Hailey—"

"I mean it." She rode him slower, deeper, grinding her hips in a circle at the bottom of each stroke. "When you're alone in your room, and you're thinking about this — I want you to remember that I wanted it too. That I wanted you."

Steve's hands found her hips, gripping her like she was the only thing tethering him to the earth. She was so beautiful like this — all warm skin and soft curves, her chestnut hair falling around her shoulders, her breasts moving with the rhythm of her body. She was his sister, and she was riding him like she'd been waiting her whole life for it, and he couldn't think of a single reason to stop.

"You're so deep," she said, almost to herself. "God, Steve, you're so deep."

He thrust up into her, meeting her rhythm, and she gasped. Her head fell back, her hands braced on his chest, and she rode him harder — a fast, desperate rhythm that had the old couch springs groaning beneath them.

"That's it," she panted. "Just like that. Don't stop."

He didn't. He couldn't. His whole world had narrowed to this — the heat of her, the sound of her moans, the way she clenched around him with every stroke. He could feel the pressure building again, hot and urgent, and Hailey was right there with him, her body tensing, her breath coming in short, sharp gasps.

"I'm close," she whispered. "Steve, I'm so close—"

"Me too." The words came out strangled. "Hailey, I'm gonna—"

"Come inside me." She said it like a command, her eyes locked on his. "I want you to come inside me again."

That was all it took. Steve's hips bucked, and he came hard, emptying into her with a sound that was almost a sob. Hailey cried out above him, her body clenching around him, and for a long, suspended moment, they were both lost — two bodies moving together in the warm lamplight, the nature doc droning on to an empty room.

She collapsed onto his chest, breathing hard, and Steve wrapped his arms around her without thinking. Her skin was damp with sweat, her heart hammering against his ribs, and she pressed a kiss to the hollow of his throat.

"Twice," she murmured. "That's twice."

"You said three."

"I did, didn't I?" She lifted her head and looked at him, and there was something in her eyes — a challenge, a dare, a promise. "You up for it, little brother?"

Steve's body answered before his brain could catch up. He was still inside her, still half-hard, and he could feel himself stirring again at the sound of her voice. She felt it too — he saw it in the way her lips curved into a slow smile.

"There he is," she said again.

She sat up, her hands braced on his chest, and started to move again — slow this time, languid, like she had all the time in the world. Steve let his head fall back against the couch cushion and let her take him, let her set the pace, let her do whatever she wanted with him.

He didn't know how long they went like that. Time had stopped meaning anything. There was only the warm lamplight and the sound of their breathing and the way Hailey moved on top of him like she was made for it. She rode him slow and deep, and when she finally came again — a long, shuddering release that had her crying out his name — Steve was right there with her, spilling into her one last time.

She collapsed onto him, and for a long moment, neither of them moved. The only sound in the room was their breathing, ragged and uneven, and the distant hum of the window AC unit that wasn't quite keeping up with the evening heat.

Then the front door opened.

Steve's blood went cold. Hailey's head snapped up, her eyes wide, and they both looked toward the hallway as a familiar voice drifted in from the entryway.

"Honey? You home?"

Jeff.

Steve's brain short-circuited. He was naked. His sister was naked on top of him. His sister's husband was standing in the front hallway, probably kicking off his sneakers, probably about to walk into the living room and see—

"Shit," Hailey breathed. She scrambled off him, grabbing for her tie-dye shirt on the floor, and Steve fumbled for his jeans. His hands were shaking so bad he could barely work the zipper.

"Hailey?" Jeff's voice was closer now. "You're home early. I thought you were gonna be at that meeting thing."

"I—" Hailey pulled her shirt over her head, her hair a mess, her face flushed. "Yeah, I. It got cancelled."

Steve had his jeans on, his boxers somewhere on the floor, his shirt on backwards. His glasses were still on the coffee table. He grabbed them, shoved them onto his face, and tried to look like he'd been sitting there watching TV all night and not, absolutely not, doing what he'd been doing.

Jeff rounded the corner into the living room.

He looked exactly like Steve remembered him — lean and wiry, his patchy beard doing its best to cover a face that had never quite grown into its own features. His eyes were half-lidded, the way they always were, and he was carrying his guitar case, the strap slung over one shoulder.

He stopped in the doorway, taking in the scene — Steve on the couch, Hailey standing next to him, both of them flushed and disheveled, the air in the room thick and charged.

For a long, horrible moment, nobody said anything.

Then Jeff's eyes drifted to Hailey's stomach. Steve watched it happen — the way Jeff's gaze dropped, the way his brow furrowed, the way he tilted his head like he was seeing something he didn't quite understand.

"Hailey," he said slowly. "Are you...?"

Hailey's hand flew to her stomach. She looked down at herself, then back at Jeff, and Steve watched the realization dawn on her face — the same realization that was dawning on him.

Three times. He'd come inside her three times.

"Jeff," she said, and her voice was strange — high and thin, like she didn't know what she was going to say next. "It's not—"

"Oh my god." Jeff's face broke into a grin — a wide, goofy, utterly delighted grin that Steve had never seen on him before. "Hailey. Are you pregnant?"

Hailey's mouth opened and closed. She looked at Steve, her eyes wide and helpless, and Steve felt his own brain short-circuiting. He didn't know what to say. He didn't know what to do. He was sitting on his family's couch with his jeans barely buttoned, his sister's husband standing in the doorway, and the word pregnant hanging in the air like a bomb.

"Jeff," Hailey said again, and this time her voice was steadier. "I don't—"

"This is amazing!" Jeff set his guitar case down and crossed the room in three long strides, pulling Hailey into a hug. "This is—oh my god, Hailey. We're gonna have a kid!"

Hailey stood frozen in his arms, her eyes finding Steve's over Jeff's shoulder. There was something in them — fear, maybe, or guilt, or something else entirely that Steve couldn't name.

"I thought you said," Jeff was saying, pulling back to look at her, "I thought you said it wasn't happening. That the timing wasn't right. But—" He laughed, a disbelieving, joyful sound. "You were just surprised, huh? You didn't want to tell me yet?"

"Jeff—"

"It's okay. It's okay, I get it." He pulled her into another hug, and Steve watched his sister's hands come up slowly, hesitantly, to wrap around her husband's back. "God, I'm so happy. I'm so fucking happy, Hailey."

Steve sat frozen on the couch, his hands gripping his knees, his heart pounding so hard he could hear it in his ears. He should say something. He should explain. But what was he supposed to say? Hey Jeff, sorry, that's actually my kid — I creampied your wife three times tonight and one of them probably took.

Hailey caught his eye again, and there was something in her gaze — a plea, a warning, a promise. Don't say anything.

So he didn't.

Jeff pulled back, still grinning, and looked at Hailey with an expression Steve had never seen on his face before — pure, uncomplicated joy. "We're gonna be parents," he said. "We're gonna be parents, Hailey."

Hailey's smile was shaky, but she nodded. "Yeah," she said. "We are."

Jeff turned to Steve, still beaming. "Steve! You're gonna be an uncle, man. That's wild."

Steve's mouth opened. Closed. Opened again. "Yeah," he managed. "Wild."

Jeff laughed and clapped him on the shoulder, and Steve felt the weight of it — the lie settling over all three of them like a blanket, warm and suffocating. Jeff didn't know. Jeff would never know. And Steve was going to have to live with that for the rest of his life.

"I'm gonna go call my mom," Jeff said, already pulling out his phone. "She's gonna lose her mind. Hailey, you want me to order a pizza? We should celebrate!"

"Sure," Hailey said. Her voice was soft, distant. "Pizza sounds good."

Jeff disappeared into the kitchen, already talking into his phone — "Mom, you're not gonna believe this—" — and the living room fell quiet. The nature doc was still playing, some bird doing something on a branch, and the lamp cast its warm glow over the scratched coffee table where Steve's glasses had been, where the mug with the roach still sat.

Hailey turned to look at him. Her face was unreadable.

"Steve," she said, and her voice was barely a whisper. "I'm sorry."

He didn't know what to say to that. He didn't know what he was supposed to feel. He'd just had the best night of his life, and now his sister was pregnant with his kid, and her husband was in the kitchen ordering pizza like everything was normal.

Nothing was normal.

"It's okay," he heard himself say. "It's—it's okay."

Hailey's eyes searched his face, and then she nodded, slow and uncertain. "We'll figure it out," she said. "We'll figure it out, okay?"

Steve nodded. He didn't believe her. But he nodded anyway.

In the kitchen, Jeff's voice rose with excitement — "Yeah, I know! I know, it's crazy!" — and the evening pressed in around them, thick and heavy, full of secrets that were already too heavy to carry.

The pizza arrived forty minutes later, and Steve ate his slice like a man performing a role he'd never rehearsed. He chewed. He swallowed. He nodded along when Jeff talked about nursery colors and whether they should find out the sex early, and he felt every bite land in his stomach like a stone.

Hailey sat across from him on the love seat, her own slice mostly untouched, her eyes fixed on the TV screen where a warthog was doing something unremarkable. She hadn't looked at him since Jeff came back from the kitchen. That was probably for the best. Every time their eyes almost met, Steve felt his throat close up.

"Dude, you're being weirdly quiet," Jeff said, wiping grease off his chin with the back of his hand. "You just found out you're gonna be an uncle. That's huge. You should be psyched."

"I am psyched," Steve heard himself say. "I'm just—processing."

Jeff nodded sagely, like processing was a thing he understood deeply. "Yeah, man. It's a lot. But it's good, right? It's a good lot."

Steve's eyes drifted to the coffee table. The mug was still there, the roach still inside it, a black smear of ash on the scratched wood. He'd come inside his sister three times tonight, and now her husband was talking about cribs.

"I should probably head home," Steve said, standing up so fast he nearly knocked his plate off his lap. "I've got—school stuff. Tomorrow."

"It's summer, dude," Jeff said.

"Summer school stuff. I've got summer school stuff."

Jeff shrugged. "Alright, man. You do you. Hailey, you want me to walk him out?"

"No," Hailey said, and her voice was quick, almost too quick. "I mean—no, I've got it. I need to grab something from the car anyway."

Jeff looked between them for a second, his brow furrowing in that slow, easy way of his, and then he shrugged again and turned back to his pizza. "Cool. See you later, Steve."

"Yeah. Later."

Steve walked to the front door, and he could feel Hailey behind him, could feel the weight of her footsteps on the worn carpet. He opened the screen door and stepped out onto the porch, and the night air hit him—cooler now, a breeze moving through the trees that lined the street.

The door creaked shut behind them.

For a moment, neither of them spoke. Steve stared at the cracked sidewalk, at the streetlight buzzing at the end of the block, at anything that wasn't his sister's face.

"Steve."

He turned. Hailey stood in the doorway, her arms wrapped around herself, her chestnut hair falling over her shoulders in messy waves. She looked smaller somehow, standing there in the porch light. Less like the cool older sister who'd always known exactly what to do, and more like someone who'd just made a mistake she couldn't take back.

"I meant it," she said. "What I said in there. We'll figure it out."

"How?" The word came out sharper than he meant it to. "How are we gonna figure it out, Hailey? You're married. To Jeff. And I'm—" He gestured vaguely at himself. "I'm me. I'm your brother."

Hailey's jaw tightened. "I know what you are."

"Then you know this is insane. This whole thing is insane. Jeff thinks you're pregnant with his kid, and I'm standing here trying to figure out how I'm supposed to look at him at Thanksgiving."

Hailey stepped closer, and her voice dropped to a whisper. "He doesn't know. He's never gonna know. That's the deal, Steve. That's the only way this works."

"But it's not his—"

"I know it's not his." Her eyes were bright, almost fierce. "You think I don't know that? You think I'm not aware that my little brother is the father of the baby my husband thinks is his?" She let out a shaky breath. "But it's done. It happened. And now we have to decide what comes next."

Steve opened his mouth to say something—he didn't know what, maybe something about how there was no version of "next" that made sense—but Hailey held up a hand.

"Don't. Don't say anything else tonight. Go home. Sleep. And tomorrow—" She paused, and something flickered across her face. "Tomorrow, we'll talk. When we're both thinking straight."

Steve wanted to argue. He wanted to tell her that he'd never been thinking straight, that he'd spent the whole night running on adrenaline and lust and something else he couldn't name, something that had been there long before she'd passed him the joint. But the words wouldn't come.

"Okay," he said finally. "Tomorrow."

Hailey nodded, and for a second, she looked like she wanted to say something else. But then the door opened behind her, and Jeff's voice drifted out—"Babe, you want me to save you the last slice?"—and the moment shattered.

"Coming," Hailey called back. She looked at Steve one last time, and there was something in her eyes—a plea, a warning, a hope—and then she turned and went back inside.

The screen door clattered shut behind her.

Steve stood on the porch for a long moment, staring at the closed door. Then he turned and walked down the steps, his sneakers scuffing against the concrete, the weight of the night pressing down on his shoulders like a physical thing.
