Chapter 89 - Chapter 89: Good Advice Is Hard to Give to a Fool Determined to Die

When leaving the classroom building, Kamio Tatsuya met Ichinose from class B in the entrance hall on the first floor.

"Good afternoon, Kamio-kun."

"Good afternoon, Ichinose. Where are you rushing off to?"

Kamio Tatsuya was a little confused.

"Huh? Didn't Horikita tell you? I'm going to the special building."

Ichinose was surprised that Kamio Tatsuya didn't know what was happening.

Hearing this, Kamio Tatsuya immediately understood.

Wow, Horikita Suzune, you're not just trying to get yourself killed, you're trying to drag Ichinose down with you? That's just great.

"I advise you not to go, or you'll regret it."

"Huh? But..."

"Ichinose, aren't you underestimating Ryuen too much?"

Kamio Tatsuya's sudden words made Ichinose freeze.

Then her face turned pale, and cold sweat broke out on her forehead.

"You, are you saying Ryuen has seen through Horikita's plan?"

"I don't know," Kamio Tatsuya answered directly. "But you can't rule out that possibility, and you should understand.

This plan completely goes against your rules and morals, right? Or were you just pretending before?"

Ichinose couldn't do anything about Kamio Tatsuya's blunt mocking, and could only force a bitter smile.

"I know, but this is the only way to get Sudou off the hook."

"I don't know why you're so set on helping Sudou, but I just want to ask you, is it worth risking the entire class B to help Sudou?"

Seeing Ichinose standing there blankly, Kamio Tatsuya turned and walked towards the library. He had said all he needed to say. Good advice is hard to give to a fool determined to die. He only said a few extra words because of what had happened before.

Also, he had already warned Ryuen, so it wouldn't hurt to warn Ichinose too.

As for Horikita, Kamio Tatsuya wasn't even going to try to talk her out of it.

Because it would be useless.

Let's just wait and see what happens.

Anyway, Ichinose would definitely tell Horikita, so there was no need to worry about her not knowing.

After arriving at the library, Kamio Tatsuya had just taken out the book he wanted to read when he received a text message from Kushida.

[Ayanokouji asked me to lure Ishizaki and the others to the special building. Do you know what they're going to do?]

Horikita...didn't tell Kushida?

[Horikita Suzune is walking to her own doom. I advise you not to go.]

[What do you mean?]

[Just ignore it. The result will be out soon, and it's best if you don't show up there, given your position.]

Although Kushida was like that behind the scenes, Kamio Tatsuya didn't really dislike her, because she hadn't bothered him.

In fact, she had brought Kamio Tatsuya a lot of fun, so Kamio Tatsuya felt he should give her a little warning.

At the special building, Horikita Suzune received a call from Ichinose.

"I'm very sorry, Horikita. I don't think I can participate in the plan after this."

Hearing Ichinose's voice on the other end of the phone, Horikita Suzune was silent for a moment, but she couldn't blame Ichinose, because this matter had nothing to do with Ichinose and her classmates to begin with.

"Can you tell me why?"

"I just met Kamio-kun in front of the school. He said Ryuen might have seen through your plan."

Horikita Suzune frowned.

"I understand. I'll return the points I borrowed later."

After saying that, Horikita hung up the phone, because Ishizaki and the other two had arrived.

What should I do?

Continue? Or give up?

Hesitating for less than a second, Horikita made up her mind: continue!

We've come this far, there's no reason to give up!

...

"What's going on? Why is it you?"

A few minutes later, after arriving at the special building, the three members of class C showed their dissatisfaction when they didn't see Kushida. The special building was really hot today, which made them even more upset.

"Kushida won't come here. That message was a trick."

Horikita said calmly. Since she had decided to do it, she would do it all the way.

"Hey, you're not kidding, are you?"

Ishizaki openly showed his displeasure, but didn't take any action. "Let's go, let's go. Or are you planning to hold us back so we miss the meeting?"

That was of course impossible, because Ishizaki and the others had evidence on their phones that Kushida had called them.

In that case, not only Sudou, but Kushida would probably also be punished for disrupting the hearing.

"No, I'm just giving you one last chance. Do you really think I can't produce evidence that you're lying?"

Ishizaki and the others scoffed at Horikita's words.

"If you can, show it to us."

Horikita sighed like she was speechless: "Don't you guys even check your surroundings before you do something? Look over there."

Following the direction Horikita pointed, Ishizaki and the others looked over and saw a very elaborate camera in the corner at the end of the hall, which was constantly moving left and right, proving that it was working.

"Wh-what is this!"

"How is this possible..."

Facing the three with their mouths wide open, Horikita mocked: "Now you understand, right? The school already knew you were lying!

They just wanted to give you a chance to turn over a new leaf, so they gave you a week before holding the hearing.

Otherwise, do you think the school would deliberately drag out something as minor as a fight for a week?"

"N-no way!" Ishizaki shouted anxiously. "Wh-why is there a camera! It's strange that there aren't any on the other floors, but only here! Hey, right!"

The moment he saw the camera, Ishizaki panicked and sought his partners' approval.

"We did check before we acted." They wiped their sweat and replied, "Th-that's something you installed."

Hearing this, Horikita was frustrated. Why didn't she record that sentence? Wouldn't that prove that they were the ones who started the fight?

"Is that so? Then do you want to bet that we'll go to the student council office for a hearing right now?" In order to put pressure on Ishizaki and the others, Horikita continued to approach them.

"Sure, but at that time, it will be my turn to say goodbye to your expulsion, Suzune." The sudden voice made Horikita Suzune's body stiffen.

A red-haired man with a grin on his face walked up the stairs.

"I don't think I need to introduce myself, but just in case you don't know, I'll say it anyway. I'm Ryuen Kakeru from class C."

The moment she saw Ryuen, Horikita's body froze in place.

Then she immediately thought of the phone call she had just received from Ichinose.

'Kamio-kun said Ryuen might have seen through your plan...'

She didn't think he would actually be right. Ryuen really...
