While Lucas was managing his own situation in the cramped darkness of the cabinet (using his psy powers to contain his dragon to tear apart his pants).
Another interaction was unfolding just a few steps away.
Ivy looked at the strange creature in front of her.
This one have exactly the same long hear than her trainer, with some long robe that covers most of his body and a long stick that looked interesting, a pretty round face with a pair of glasses.
The elf stood near the table, his posture was very weak—but his eyes.
And the star in his eyes tell her that he was quite curious about her. Which is pretty understandable, who don't want to know her ?
To put it simply, this human looking pretty cheesy to her opinion, especially compared to her trainer.
But the latter seems to have a lot of fun with the previous person that was there and it also seems that they don't want to be caught.
So she takes one herself to push away the stranger that will inevitably interrupt the 'fun' of her trainer.
"Sni ?" She makes a sound that will certainly interest of the stranger and it seems that she was quite right.
He adjusted his glasses slightly, leaning just enough to get a better look at her without being outright rude—though he was clearly failing at hiding his fascination.
"Ohhh, myy—" he murmured under his breath.
Ivy remained where she was, perched elegantly in the sunlight.
Her gaze lingered on him for a moment—slow, deliberate—before she gave a soft, measured.
His eyes moved over her form—not with arrogance, but with genuine academic fascination.
"The look… the energy… this presence…" he muttered softly, half to himself. "Incredible…"
"Sni ?"
The elf straightened immediately.
"…My apologies," he said quickly, lowering his head slightly. "I did not mean to stare."
Although Ivy don't know where come the sudden attitude, it doesn't matter at the end.
"I have only read about beings such as you," he continued, voice now quieter, almost reverent. "Spirits tied to nature… to balance… to forces beyond our understanding…"
"Sni-vy."
She didn't deny it, nor confirm it either.
She simply accepted the interpretation, only because Lucas tells her that people don't know the meaning of Pokemon and also because it suited her.
The elf took that as encouragement to approach the regal Pokemon.
A mistake.
"…May I—" he hesitated, choosing his words carefully, "—approach?"
Ivy watched him.
And slowly, she takes out her vines to slowly approach the enthusiast elf.
He also stepped closer.
Like one would approach something sacred.
He extended a hand.
Another mistake.
His fingers finally made contact with the vine and—
He senses himself at ease, fresh and weirdly excited.
For exactly one second.
Then—
[ GIGA DRAIN ]
His expression changed.
Confusion first.
Then surprise.
Then—
Shock.
His body stiffened.
A sharp inhale escaped him as something unseen tightened around him—not physically, but internally.
His eyes widened behind his glasses as thin, glowing strands of green light began to form between them—flowing from him to her like threads being unraveled.
"…W-wait—"
Too late.
The drain intensified.
The elf's knees nearly gave out.
His free hand shot to the ground to steady himself, breath growing shallow as the strength in his body faded far too quickly.
"…Incredible…" he whispered, voice strained despite himself. "A direct conversion of vitality into—"
And finally—
His arm gave out.
His body tilted.
The strands flickered—
And then—
—BAMM—
Ivy immediately cut it.
And instantly the light vanished, as well the pressure in his body.
For half a second, the elf remained upright—
Then his body went slack.
He collapsed forward with a dull thud against the wooden floor, completely unconscious.
Silence returned to the library.
Ivy watched him for a moment.
Unconcerned.
"Sni"
(Hardly a delicacy, a rather plain essence…. but this does not always dine for pleasure.)
She continued to looks at the skeletal figure at the ground.
(… though not entirely without merit.)
She turned her head.
Her gaze settled on the cabinet.
Where Lucas and the elf girl were still hidden.
Her tail flicked once.
Waiting.
