I held Urdon's bleeding body as total darkness fell over everything. I could not see anything at all. Just complete and utter blackness everywhere.
"Urdon," I whispered his name over and over. "Please stay with me. Please do not leave me alone in this darkness."
But he did not respond. I felt his chest moving with shallow breaths. Felt his heart beating weakly beneath my hands. He was still alive but barely. Just barely holding on.
Around me I heard wolves howling in absolute fear. The sound was terrible and heartbreaking. These were not howls of greeting or communication. These were howls of pure terror. Of pack members lost in darkness and panicking.
"Someone help," I shouted into the void. "The Alpha needs help. Can anyone hear me."
"Luna." A voice came from somewhere to my left.One of the omegas. "Luna is that you. We cannot see anything."
"I am here," I said. "Stay where you are. Do not run blindly."
