Which didn't mean it wasn't going to be an embarrassing one. For a certain temp teacher, at least.
Out of all the things in the world, why embarrassing? If anything, shouldn't he be proud?
Reis for sure planned to be proud. And annoyingly boastful. There was no doubt about him wanting to use this opportunity to poke at certain people. He had already imagined it in his head. The smug look. The inevitable comments. The chance to remind certain people that, yes, despite everything, he had managed to pull it off.
But for some reason, he felt…odd? It wasn't anger, uneasiness, or confusion, but at the same time it was.
Something was off. Then again, ever since he came here, what wasn't?
The music continued around him, filling the grand hall with a melody that was almost too beautiful for the amount of suspicion slowly crawling up his spine.
