"Wake up."
"Mhm. Later."
The human turned koala grabbed on more firmly. The bed was too comfy to get away from. It was less cushiony and kind of chilling, but still more comfortable.
"Meew."
The furball nudged against his cheeks.
It was the usual morning routine. The kitten got lonely after waking up and the guardian showed up for the offering.
Reis buried his face into the pillow. It wasn't easy. The pillow somehow became more firm.
Thump. Thump.
He felt a steady, low thumping underneath his palm he used to hold the blanket.
"Is it that comfortable?"
"Mhm."
Hm?
The voice vibrated. Through the pillow, and even the mattress.
Lord Yvaion's voice. Not from the side.
Reis's eyes snapped open. Instead of the usual white bedsheets and blanket, he was welcomed by a different kind of familiar fabric.
Dark. Soft. Probably made with materials not available in the mortal realm. And the silver kitten sitting right on top of it.
