"A cat!"
It was definitely a fur-covered, four-legged, sleep-loving cat!
"So you're denying responsibility just because it's not the same kind as you?"
Reis gritted his teeth and tried to wriggle out of the hold. "Oh so you do know it's not the same kind as me! So how- how could I have c-c-created it!?"
Setting aside the fact that he couldn't even create to begin with, how on earth could he have made something that's clearly not his kind?
The lamp god had four eyes. Four. Couldn't he see the very obvious thing?
The demon of a guardian gave him a judgmental stare as if he had committed some great injustice. "It is glued to you most of the day. It smells like you, eats like you, even acts like you. And you're saying it's not yours just because it doesn't look like you?"
"Humans really are cruel."
Reis didn't remember surviving on milk and unsalted meat after growing teeth. Nor did he remember clawing around the surface.
