Brows shot up.
Gasps rang out as no one expected such words from Zane.

He knew Zane was angry and worried about Milo but Xavier didn't know Zane's worry and anger was at this level that he stopped caring about his friend's story.
But if that was the case, then Xavier could show his anger too. He wasn't someone who would back down.
He had fought with an Enforcer to protect Zane, to protect what he believed was right, so today Xavier might fight Zane himself to again protect what he believed was right.
Both men glared at each other.
Zane opened his mouth.
